In the end, we picked All 'Bout Children for their Outdoor Classroom Certification, bilingual curriculum, and partnership with Burleigh Elementary to provide before and after school care (he doesn't need it yet, but glad to know its an option). In the end, we have not been disappointed! The teaching staff is genuinely caring and engaged with the little guy's development. Not only do they take the time to answer all our questions (patiently), but we get daily updates in real-time on potties, feedings, and various other milestones - but the best part is they provide pictures almost daily which is a great treat when I'm at work thinking about him :) Their spots fill up quickly, but if you are looking for a new daycare, I recommend taking a tour.

I'll be completely honest. We ultimately chose this facility because it was the cheapest center in…read morethat area. That being said, I did my homework beforehand and read up on their state survey results, which didn't identify anything I would consider to be major. www.dcf.wisconsin.gov is an excellent resource to check providers out. I had basic requirements in my mind to keep my daughter at the center and they are consistently met. I am notified of changes of conditions in my daughter (ie rash, fever). Her diaper is changed about every two hours at a minimum. The staff offer suggestions to us based on what they observe in her. One example is identifying that she may have ruflux when we didn't see those symptoms as prevalently at home. Turned out to be an accurate assessment. There are the same two providers in the infant room all week, which is a huge plus for me. They have ample toys and activity centers to keep her occupied. The infant room has a separate area for cribs, divided by a half-wall partition. I would have preferred a more separate sleeping area, but she still gets good chunks of sleep there. It is definitely not in the same caliber as, say a Mary Linsmeier center, but my daughter is well cared for and given individual attention by two caring staff members. That is what is most important of anything. The reasonable cost is great, but I wouldn't keep her there unless I was happy.

Every day they come home with new artwork to share and my son is always excited to share what he learned during the day. I have always felt comfortable with the care and have never worried. Don't get me wrong it is never easy to leave your little ones in the hands of strangers but these teachers all have so much love to share. Of course like in any daycare with two year olds you get the occasional biting incident and not only has my daughter been the victim but also the instigator and they did a great job of notifying me and keeping a close eye. While the police were on their way, the owner wrote papers stating my 4 yr old nephew were no longer welcome there. That paper or any other paper she could have written gives her zero rights to put her hands on anybody!!! Her response is both unprofessional and immature!! Stay away from this daycare. You don't want your children being watched after by immature people that cannot control their anger and show no problem solving skills. We signed her up for the 25/26 school year and she has been flourishing, making friends, and learning Spanish under the supervision & support of her teacher. This past Friday, we walked into what I can only describe as the most unprofessional & shocking incident. The teacher was no longer employed there and the management was extremely rude and disrespectful. Not to mention there's literally one week of school left....and now the kids cannot graduate with the teacher they have been with since the beginning. I don't understand how the management, Chris Ardent and Hope Delaney, can do something so harmful to our children especially when they decided to do this all on a school day when we were all there to witness the mess they created. They said they were always thinking of the children but then why would they pick a school day to let their teacher go in front of them? Totally unprofessional. I am heartbroken and shocked that this "faith based" organization would do something so hurtful . I'd also like to mention that Chris Ardent stated he would be available to sit down with us parents but he was conveniently at a golf outing.... Needless to say, An email will be sent to Katy Groh who is the executive director of the Southwest YMCA. The way this was handled should never have happened in front of our children. We expect a faith based organization to conduct themselves in a better manner.

You can imagine the nervousness, but even on the first day, Ms. Jefferson went out of her way to reassure she was going to be OK. Ms. Kristie was kind enough to answer all my calls/questions when I would check up(mostly in the beginning ha). Our daughter is now 14 months and looks forward to going to school and has made so many new friends. Luckily after touring 4 different daycare facilities around Wauwatosa (where I live) and Muskgeo (where I work), we found Grandma's house. A huge plus is that the center is a 3 minute drive and less than 15 minute walk from our house. Also, we love V's teachers- They have made the transition to daycare so much easier, trusting that they are providing lots of opportunities for playing, learning and interacting with others. Grandma's house does family style homemade meals and they try to keep the center very clean (constant handwashing and parents must wear blue booties over their shoes when they enter). They're also very willing to go with the flow with their schedule. Rather than having exact start and end times for activities, they adjust the start and end times to fit with how the day is going. The kids nap at different times depending on their need for the day, which then allows for kids to have more one on one time while other kids nap. The only thing that is challenging for my family and this center is the cost. I think they provide financial assistance for families in great need, which we are not. But we're kind of at the edge, where this is a bit more than we can really budget, but can't imagine settling for less. However, I won't take off a star for this, because they are willing to let teachers or others who only work part of the year, take off during the summer at no penalty. This keeps her attendance there within our financial ability. Overall, we are very pleased so far. If you're searching for a daycare nearby here, make this one stop on your list!
