I appreciate West Bend Cinema because it's not a Marcus Theater, which dominates the movie theater scene in Wisconsin. They show most of the same movies that Marcus does, but once in awhile they'll have something Marcus doesn't or they'll have more convenient showtimes. Ticket prices are a bit cheaper at West Bend Cinema and I think their leather chairs are more comfortable than what Marcus has. The building itself is in serious need of maintenance though. For example, part of the black frame around the movie screen in auditorium 5 was torn and you could see a large section of plywood behind it. Also, there were multiple buckets on the floor in the hallway to catch water that was leaking through the roof and the ceiling tiles above the buckets looked really crappy like this had been happening for a while. I've gone to 2 movies in the last 3 days at West Bend Cinema. Mother's Day seemed super busy, and this place was trashed. Garbage containers all were overflowing, popcorn everywhere, popcorn station looked as if it went thru a tornado. This is a combination of inconsiderate and messy guests (mostly) and staff so I gave this another try on Tuesday. Same deal. The workers behind the counter were hustling but there were only 2 of them. The guy that was perhaps supposed to be cleaning up was sitting on a weathered and torn couch by the exit on his phone. I'd love to support this local theater more but when I go to the bathroom and there's no papertowels, I'm out for good. read more

I recently went to see Twisters at this theater. I had not been to a theater in over twenty years. Titanic was the last time.:) I enjoyed this experience. Even with having to change the screening as the system was down from the global outage. The theater made good on getting people into seeing the next showing or refunds. I decided to stay. The theater was cleaner than expected as they are short-staffed like many businesses. Everyone on the staff I encountered was friendly and helpful. I liked the recliner seating as made seeing a movie more comfortable and homey. The Popcorn was fresh. You get a free refill of your drink and popcorn. I will be back to see more movies. read more

West Bend Cinema - Great Movie - Cinema Near Me - West Bend, Wisconsin

For years the management of the Paradise Theater drove this place deep into the ground. The manager was gruff to customers, the theater was becoming dated and the popcorn was not good. West Bend Cinema really had no where to go but up. They have made some positive updates, most notably the grumpy guy that would openly yell at customers is gone. Staff has a much better customer service focus than ever before. The theater has added some of the newer "theater style" seats to a few of the theaters. The seats are quite better than what had been used but the seats remain well behind the current trend for more comfortable theater seating. This theater used to routinely over cook the popcorn. Staff is getting better at not doing this. I really think they need to update the popcorn machine or seeds/oil used because it just doesn't match the popcorn from other metro theaters. The theater has upgraded the soda making it self serve, thus also offering free refills. A definite improvement. West Bend Cinema is not yet my theater of choice but they have made notable improvements. I'm much more likely to contemplate staying closer to home than driving down to Menomonee Falls. read more

This place has dramatically improved. It's clear that a lot of work was put into remodeling and renovating the entire interior. The new recliner seats are AMAZING. If you haven't tried it lately... give it another try. I suspect you'll be pleasantly surprised. read more

This was us giving theatres one last chance because we are new to the area. Went to see IT Chapter 2. It was kids running the counter, which is expected it is a kids job....but I figured, maybe some of those kids or even God forbid, an adult would walk in the theatre and usher like in other theatres b.c maybe then they would've noticed the fucking high school kids acting like GODDAMN animals. I was on vacation visiting my friend. While he was at work and my wife went to lunch with his wife, I decided to take my son to see a movie. I looked up what was closest to his house and it said west bend cinema. So me and my son went down there and I was so surprised. It looked really small but the play was really nice inside and the food was really cheap. Coming from Arizona, every thing is expensive in Gilbert so I was so surprised how cheap every was. The people were super friendly and I really enjoyed myself. Went I'm back in Wisconsin, I will definitely go back! read more

This was awful. As I soon as we got there the workers were nice but then as the movie started my friend dropped something and couldn't find it so then my other friend put her flash on so she could get and it and one of the people watching the movie said some very disrespectful things to her. Me and my other friend went to the bathroom and came back to them getting there stuff to leave because the manger kicked them out. She didn't get a warning. Do not recommend. read more

Great theatre to go to. Ticket prices, soda, and snacks are a couple bucks cheaper vs. Marcus (tho they are a little smaller but you get free refills). The seats are all new within the last year. They have about half the theatres with very comfortable recliners. I do wish they would have gone this route in every theatre, the other seats are new and comfortable enough. The screen and sound is good. They don't have any crazy big (PLF) screens like a couple Marcus screens have, but I'm not one that ever really notices once I'm watching the movie. Those are almost $15 bucks a ticket at Marcus. West Bend Cinema charges $9 for standard admission. There are discounts and special prices on different nights of the week. Everything is on their website. You can also buy tickets in advance online if you would like. ***A couple things on my wish list would be the ability to purchase tickets through Fandango (just personally so I could get some free tickets every here and there) and moreover, some sort of movie rewards program. Marcus has there little reward program but I think even that leaves something to be desired. Both theatres would benefit from a "moviepass" type program. AMC theatres does this and I don't understand why the other theatres haven't followed suit. AMC Stubs rewards program is $19.95/month for up to 3 movies in any format every week. I would gladly pay either Marcus or West Bend Cinema $20 a month for the same kind of deal. If either offered something like this, they would certainly have 100% of my business. read more

If you haven't been to the remodeled West Bend Theaters, give them another try. I quit going there 2 years ago because it had fallen into disrepair. Wow!!! What a difference. Bathrooms were clean, popcorn was fresh, prices were reasonable and the staff was very friendly. As soon as they get the recliner seats they will rate 5 stars. read more
