It is a small place that gets packed in for some heavy hitting headliners and expect a top notch show! It is small and intimate enough to talk to people and the performers during and after the show. Throw in the extra $10 for the VIP wristband that gets you access to the private bar/lounge area, stage left "VIP area" that over looks most of the crowd, and the views of the back of the stage. Drinks aren't over priced, security is just doing their job and not over bearing, the sound is pumping and wear plugs if you are not into that, and the visuals are always flowing, funny, and trippy. Expect the feel the music. There is usually the crews and people that have after parties that are an ootion for people wanting to keep the fun going after 3:00 a.m. The last time I was there I got a flyer for an after-afterhours party was from 6:00 a.m. to noon. Whoa. Milwaukee. Respect to the Brew City Bass Crew for bringing the constant unbeatable worldwide talent and keeping in tune with Milwaukee's underground music scene.

Later their "security guy" said I had to move, which was super f***** awkard because it was just me chilling there with a beer and there were like... 5 people in the in the entire bulding AND it was already 10:50. Never seen such an uptight excuse for a high end club. Guys...I appreciate the work you put into the dance floor and the renovations...but this isn't New York! OFA is a yearly event that takes place at the lovely Fowler Park in Oconomowoc, WI. It features…read morenumerous artists (local and out of towners) selling their arts and crafts. They feature such mediums as : ceramics, glass, jewelry, painting, photography, woodwork, and sculpture. They offer a shuttle for off-site parking, which is a very convienent way to come and walk around, enjoy the fest, and not have to worry about walking 'all the way back to the car.' They also offer entertainment for the kids, like a youth stage, playgrounds, entertainers, and petting zoos. Oconomowoc Festival of the Arts has been around for 40+ years and offers art from more than 130 artists! It's worth your while to check out - spend a day in beautiful Oconomowoc and support a good cause while you're at it. BTW : This year's OFA will be held on August 17th and 18th, 2013 from 10am - 5pm.

MOWA puts on free community art programs, especially for kids. Their annual members show is open to all members, along with shows for local area high schools, and the annual Chalk Art Fest. Their campus landscaping is beautiful, leading in with a huge grove of birch trees. There's plenty of parking in the public lot, and overflow just across the street. What a huge boon to the community of West Bend, and downtown West Bend has a lot to be proud of.

The simplicity, clean lines and extensive use of glass makes the building itself is a work of art. How the architect took into Consideration the natural surroundings should be recognized. Once you step inside there are several galleries to explore. Feature artists include Frank Lloyd Wright, Fred Stonehouse, John Szarkowaki and so many others. Examples of German Impressionism, realism, sculptures and glass art are just some of the beautiful pieces you'll enjoy. Alice LaQuintana was the docent who guided our group and she was absolutely amazing. I took art history and appreciation in college and learned many technical details about different types of art/ artists but Alice taught me how to really enjoy art. The museum is a wonderful cultural addition to the West Bend area and well worth a visit. My only suggestion would be a few more strategically placed benches or seating areas in each gallery so patrons can really take the time To absorb all what the artists created.

The evening began on a festive note as the Germantown Band welcomed the crowd, immediately setting a warm and celebratory tone for the show. The band also returned during intermission, providing enjoyable live music that kept the holiday spirit alive throughout the evening. Best known for his Emmy Award-winning work on PBS, McGivern brought the same warmth, humor, and authenticity to the stage that viewers have enjoyed for years on Around the Corner and John McGivern's Main Streets. His Christmas show blended laugh-out-loud moments with touching reflections drawn from his upbringing as one of six children in a working-class Midwestern Irish Catholic family. For many in the audience, his stories truly hit home. The themes of family dynamics, traditions, faith, and everyday moments were deeply relatable, especially for those raised in Midwestern Catholic households. McGivern's ability to find humor in shared experiences made the performance both genuinely funny and emotionally resonant. The performance felt intimate and inviting, as if he were welcoming the audience into his own living room for the holidays. Everyone was beyond incredible in their respective performances. The PAC was so clean, which is great, unlike so many theaters I've been to; this was a refreshing change. The acoustics were great, and we sat in the middle row in front of the stage, maybe 6 rows back. Adequate lighting, friendly staff, and efficient ways to get people served quickly during the intermission were great highlights. Another area of appreciation was upon check-in. There's a pillow area to the left on the floor. Need one to boost a child, for example? Take it and bring it back after the play is over. This was oddly one of the more memorable things about the PAC--we have been to a few, but none where they have these nice pillows to give you a boost if you're a little shorter. The seating was comfortable, and there was enough legroom to endure the entire play without getting sore. Ensure you realize there's no food and drink inside the theater area, but you can have it outside while mingling with others in the lobby.

Their were not signs stating where or how things were basically set up. We received a brochure at the end before we left. It seemed more of just a drinking and bad music event. We had the fish and chips which were ok. We did notice that even though supposed to be same fish and chips at each booth that some prepared it differently so the quality was different. Also the amount given varied. Before we went we did hear from others that we probably would not enjoy the event. We went in with positive feelings though really wanting to enjoy our time there. Well we were not impressed. None of us plan on returning next year to this event.

Fish Day!!! What's not to love?!?! It's Port Washington's summer festival that celebrates a…read moreWisconsin favorite: the Fish Fry. Shuttle buses run up and down the main streets so parking isn't a huge issue. I've been to this festival 4+ times now and have always found street parking close enough to walk. The local shops tend to stay open later than normal for the festival, which is great for visitors. There is no entry fee for the festival, however carry-ins are not permitted. Prices this year (2014) were $7 for the fish and chips, $4 Miller Lite, $5 Redd's Apple Ale.... so a little on the pricier side but the fish fry was pretty delicious. They have a midway with some rides and carnival games. There are several stages with live music. The main stage usually features some 80's or 90's act and does cost a couple dollars, this year it was $5 for the main stage. I think it is standing room only. My favorite part of Fish Day is the fireworks. They are awesome and it is easy to get "front row" seating. They are launched from what use to be the old storage ground for coal at the We Energies generation station, which is across the small harbor from the festivities. In the morning there is an 8k race that is pretty challenging and then a ridiculous parade around 10am. I hope to run the race again next year and stay for the parade because it is entertaining! I really enjoy this festival and recommend the race to my fellow runners. I will be back next year! :D

My 2 year old was more interested in the existing playground equipment on site but enjoyed the music, mascots, popcorn and frozen yogurt. Worth a look!
