Two days prior to my appointment they told me to get authorization "from a doctor so that they can prescribe antibiotics". In desperation I called my primary care physician, who told me Crestal can prescribe antibiotics. I called Crestal back the next day, told them what the doctor said, and hey presto! All of a sudden they can prescribe - after wasting hours of my time. I am a schoolteacher. I *repeatedly* told Crestal not to call me during school hours. They called me EIGHT TIMES IN TWO DAYS, during school hours. Finally I made it plain to them - I have autistic students, students with no English, I am not permitted to make or receive calls during the school day, so STOP CALLING. The chirpy little twitch on the phone then told me, "Well then! If you won't talk with us when we want, this isn't the office for you, so now your appointment is cancelled!" and SLAMMED DOWN THE PHONE. They're snotty, disrespectful and generally unpleasant. I communicated all of this to my referring dentist, who was happy to refer me to another office. I called that new office and they told me that there should never have been an issue about things 15 years ago, or antibiotics, or any of it, it was all unnecessary. And they were polite, and scheduled me an appointment after school hours. SKIP CRESTAL, go somewhere else unless you like being disrespected and jerked around.

I literally couldn't eat or DRINK anything for two weeks and had extensive issues with the same for a mont. I lost 20 lbs as a result and was only 120 lbs when I went to see him. The graft, especially from the right of my pallet, has permanent nerve damage. I can feel where the graft was to this day and it was 2 years ago. The whole process was difficult and I didn't receive support on what to do with the issues I was having after. I was often not treated as a valued patient. I would seek out a different perio dentist. Before this, I had no fear or hesitation with dentists. Now I am definitely scared on any future work I may need.

I was referred…read moreto Bedford Periodontal and Dental Implant Care, and really enjoyed my experience there (aside from the actual procedure, of course). During my consultation, Dr. Tsamtsouris was very thorough checking the health of all my gums--far more so than the periodontist who was originally supposed to perform the procedure. I was equally, if not more, impressed when Dr. Tsamtsouris suggested a slightly more uncomfortable procedure than the previous periodontist planned (taking the gum tissue from the roof of my mouth rather than donor tissue) because it generally results in thicker gums at the graft site. While I wasn't thrilled at the idea of more discomfort and stitches, I really appreciated that she was willing to suggest a more challenging procedure in order to get the best result. After the surgery, they provided Dr. Tsamtsouris' cell phone number with the aftercare info, in case there were any issues. I was surprised to receive a call from her a few hours after my surgery (on a Friday evening), just to check that I was doing okay. When I started having irritation the next week as a result of some loose stitches, Ellie made time for me at the end of her day, removed the stitches, and put a putty-bandage over the irritated area. I felt so much better leaving the office and the area started to heal much faster after having the loose stitches removed. Becky is a pleasure to talk to while waiting for your appointment. She adds a wonderful, convivial atmosphere to the office, and makes the beginning and end of your visit feel like you're catching up with a friend. Overall, I think Becky, Ellie and Dr. Tsamtsouris have put together a wonderful practice that feels comfortable and energetic, and gives you no doubt that you are being cared for by very capable professionals.

My primary dentist sent me to Dr. Kiefer years ago for a gum graft. I was nervous because many…read moreyears before I'd had a very bad experience with that procedure. But I'd had a good one with the periodontist whose practice Dr. Kiefer took over. So, I was again up in the air, not knowing the doctor and how it would go. It went fabulously. Everyone was very nice and Dr. Kiefer proved to be an excellent clinician and even gave me her cell phone number, a "home care" package with an ice pack and more. Fast forward to the present -- time for another gum graft. This time I referred myself to Dr. Kiefer when my dentist confirmed my diagnosis. The wait was going to be horrendous (a problem with this practice, she's very popular and doesn't work full weeks) and they offered me a spot on the waiting list. Sure enough, I was in there for an evaluation right away. And I got in off the waiting list for the procedure right away too. Dr. Kiefer wonderful and her staff is too. Everyone is very accommodating and kind. I hope I don't need any more procedures, but this is the place to go.
