I found a spot in the reference section and was able to get a few hours of study there. Plus, the Livingston Public Library is also part of BCCLS (sounds like "buckles"), which stands for the Bergen County Cooperative Library System. Within the BCCLS network, you can borrow books, media, and other lendable materials from any of the libraries in the system as long as you're a resident from one of the participating libraries' municipalities. This is a nice library with lots of natural light pouring into the rooms. It's a great resource for the nearby community, plus there are some interesting displays about local town history (Rikers Art Hill and hometown, Nobel Laureate Roger Yonchien Tsien (錢永健).

I tend to take a lot of books out of our public libraries, but this isn't my favorite location of the three we have in town. The place could use a bit of a renovation...and a bigger selection of books and other media. In fact, unless I know they have a book that I 'need' I don't really go over to this location anymore. It's ok, it's convenient for this part of town, but I tend of go to the main branch-just easier to get to, better parking, and obviously a greater selection.

Can't believe this is the 1st review! The library is housed in a very nice building with lots of…read morehistory & character. There are so many interesting aspects of this library that would've possibly gone unnoticed if Helen didn't provide the background details. It's cool to be able to see what the "old" wall looked like before the expansion and the oak staircase that leads upstairs with the various archways is pretty nifty too. Enjoyed the various decorations that are displayed in the differed areas. What a wonderful, friendly and helpful staff. Parking seems limited to the street.
