I had a procedure called Greenlight Laser TURP (Transurethral Resection of the Prostate), by a doctor in Los Angeles, but I developed complications about 3 weeks later which necessitated several visits to the emergency room in Oxnard. Dr. Aboseif examined me and recommended another procedure to correct the issues. The Oxnard and Camarillo offices offices where I have had appointments are inviting and comfortable. Communications coupled with making appointments and getting scheduled for times that have worked for me were easy. I have felt confident with my experience at West Coast Urology with my primary doctor being, Dr. Kevin Lee. I have been going to their Camarillo and Oxnard offices. I have received excellent care at both. The staff are very helpful and the doctors take time to explain the problem and offer solutions. Was referred to this office by my primary physician. Over the span of 2 weeks called them at least 12 times. Left voicemails, was put on hold countless times which after 10 minutes goes to voicemail. When I did reach a staff member they told me they lost my paperwork, they said would call my doctor to get it and would call me back. Waited a week, nothing happened. Called them back, again impossible to get a hold of anyone. I finally gave and now looking for a new doctor. This has been my experience. Phone customer service is horrendous. read more

Initially my father in law's appointment was with Dr. Abosief on August 19. He had great experience and his next appointment was on September 4 with Dr. Lee. Bad experience. Appointment was at 3:15. We got here half hour early at 2:45 and he was not admitted until 345. During that time we overheard Dr Lee saying to his nurses in the office he wanted more patients Scheduled. Whether it was tongue in cheek I don't know. read more

WORST office and doctor ever! The office staff is rude and they do NOT answer the phone. My elderly father had an appointment months ago and my deaf, elderly mother drove from Bakersfield to LA where I live since my car has transmission issues, so I can drive us to dad's memory care facility in Camarillo and then to Oxnard for dad's appointment. We drove in heavy rain and hours on the road just to find out the office was CLOSED for NO reason. There was NO note and NO phone call letting us know! Unbeliavbly unprofessional. I should bill them for the gas an dtime it took for us to get dad over there Dad has a lot of prostate issues and this arrogant doc does NOTHING to help. Never ever going back. Very unprofessional. The front desk DOES NOT return voice messages. I had a preliminary exam, and then scheduled a procedure for 2 months out. While waiting, my primary care physician came back with lab results that would potentially have an impact on the procedure. I tried to get ahold of Dr. Kalvin Wong, and the front desk did not help. When I got a hold of a live person, they would promise to pass the information on but I never heard back. I eventually had to cancel the appointment, because I never received Dr. Wong's feedback on the lab results. But - they still charged me $300 for the 5 minute preliminary exam! Like so many otherr reviews, the office staff in this office is terrible. I needed to have a special text done that is not done everywhere, so as Cottage Hospital can perfrom the text decided to go have the text done there. The staff sent the wrong test request to Cottage Hospital. This was faxed to Cottage after I left 4 messages at the office over a period of 4 days, with never a call back from the office. No one answeres the phone in this office. Dr. Wong may be a good doctor but he only speaks to me for a few minutes and then I am left dealing with a rude, incompetent staff. The office even messed up the billing by sending me a bill for my copay, when my supplemental health insurance plan covers copayments after Medicare pays. Their billing office said my insurance company said I was resposnsible for the copay. I called my insurance company and they told me they paid the amount in question 4 weeks ago. I called back the billing office and told them and even sent over the statement showing my insurance company paying the bill. The billing office has never retunred my frequent calls to check on whether they corrected my account. Terrible office staff, terrible billing office. I may have to go see another doctor even though I like Dr. Wong, for his staff is terrible. Totally unprofessional. read more

The office staff are one of the worse to deal with in VC. Front office staff never return VM's, rarely get a talking person. I was seen by Dr Kevin Lee & Dr. Sherif Aboseif} from May2021 - Sep 2021 {4 different offices visits + 2 procedures in 4 months] and their billing personel are still billing the VA /Tri-West incorrectly ! Receive 4 statements for denied claims to be paid by VA, plus they have been notified on how to bill in order to get paid. SERIOUSLY !!! WTH is with that ? Dr's I have no problem with ....it is their staff that is really bad. Wonder if the Dr's in this office are aware, or ever read reviews to better this situation. The one star is for the very rude staff and bad billing. Dr Wong is Excellent. The 3 times I have gone to my appointment I paid my copay every time and after each time I get a bill saying I didn't pay my co pay. Very hard to get ahold of staff. I left many messages and no one ever seems to return my call. This last time of course I receive another bill. So I call their billing company and explained the situation and the billing representative says we received your messages but the office manager has not responded to our messages. So I decided to call the office and ask for a Manager. I figured this has happen 3x and that the Manager should know. When I called the office someone by the name of Lupe or Lupita answers and I kindly explained the problem and she cuts me off and says you need to call billing. I then explained to her that I did and updated her on the details. Afterward, I asked her if I could speak to the office Manager and she says that the manager doesn't deal with that! What??? The manager doesn't any control over billing??? What kind of an office has a manager and doesn't know or do billing??? Anyway, I asked again to speak with a manager and I was placed on hold. After 7 minutes or so I was transferred to a voicemail so I hung up and called back. This time I got someone else. So I said, "I was on hold and got transferred to a answering machine. May I please speak to a manager." So I was put on hold again and then got hung up. I called back a third time and explained that I was hung up on and then the receptionist said she didn't hang up on you! You hung up!" So I said "ok, thats fine." I figured that it was pointless to argue. At that point the receptionist was trying to talk over me when I was asking again to speak to the manager and I said, "hold on, I'm the patient here. Let me finish saying...." She cut me off and said "I'm just going to hang up because you're being rude and I don't have to take it!!!" Wow! Good patient care. How terrible!!! All of this could have been avoided if both receptionists would have taken the time and effort to help a patient with a valid concern. I work in the healthcare industry myself. And if I treated a patient the same way these people did to me I would have been fired. These medical assistants need to be educated on how to treat patients with care and respect and if they refuse then the office needs to replace them because they are the wrong people hurting this facility. This clinic is full of unprofessional health care personnel, starting with the front desk staff that are extremely rude, it's a shame considering they deal with human beings that have the right to be treated with respect to begin with, and what can I say about Dr. Wong, he is the worst, I had the opportunity of talking to him over the phone in regards to one of my patients that was referred to him for a surgical procedure and my experience with him was not pleasant, I didn't want believe when my patient told me how rude they were and I though he was blowing everything out of proportion but I had the opportunity of speaking to him and he talked to me like a street person with 0 professionalism, I am sure any person without a medical degree would be more professional, I expected more coming from a health care provider, shame on him, he should not be a doctor, and I will never trust him with any of my patients. I'm a nurse, I have served in the Navy over 12 years and I will do what it takes to get this place removed from the Tricare network, he doesn't deserve to get paid for the terrible service he offers or to treat any of my Sailors. The active duty service member was referred to his clinic because they are in the Tricare network and requested him a print out stating date of surgery and how many days he was going to be on convalescent leave, the front desk told the member that they charge $40 if they do a letter, it's is the patients right to provide his chain of command with this information for their awareness. After talking to me this animal yelled at me over the phone, and his word were "WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK? I CANNOT DO LETTER FOR WHATEVER YOU GUYS NEED BECAUSE I HAVE OTHER INSURANCE COMPANIES I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR" and some other bullshit. When the argument got heated he said the letter was gonna be at the front desk. LOOK ASSHOLE My patients lives are my #1 priority above my own live and my service members protecting your freedom deserve a better treatment and not only my services members anyone ill or injured should receive the best medical care. Very disappointed the way staff handles elderly patients. Unsolicited appointment was made and no one bothered to return calls to handle the situation. I can't get anyone on the phone at their office. I have called several days in a row. I have sent two Faxes. I have left messages.

Disappointed. Made an appointment. Arrived early to fill out paperwork and still was seen 20 minutes after time. My main complaint is they billed insurance wrong. I went here because it was in-network. a 5 minute visit isn't $220. He didn't do anything but ordered tests. Tried calling billing and they are not even here in CA. Left messages three days in a row since I couldn't reach a real person. Finally a call back and they claimed I needed to call Insurance. Called Insurance and they claimed Dr office billed incorrectly. Tried calling office to get results. Called three different days at different times and finally left message and received call back two days later just to be put on hold and then finally disconnected. Called back and had to leave a message. Maybe Dr. Wong is good. Maybe not. I may never know because his team isn't good. read more

He was very professional, courteous, and willing to answer all of my many strange questions. He even let me take photos of the procedure. It's very rare any Dr. would allow that. Many guys get freaked out about this procedure. Rest assure that although their is some tugging going on, the pain isn't that bad. It's a very quick procedure. 20 minutes from what I remember and somehow no blood. I felt totally fine afterwords. I could have gone back to work but they didn't suggest it and I already had the day off. It was one of the easiest procedures I have ever done. i made an appointment, went in and they decided i needed a small procedure done. i agreed and had to wait for insurance approval. once they had it i had 2 options. Option 1: at the Hospital, $1700, and i'd be put under. Option 2: at the office, $170 and only local anesthetic. I've never had a major surgery and have never been put under. considering I have a high pain tolerance, and saving over 1500 BUCKS!! I choose to do it in the office, they gave me a date for 2 weeks later. then 2 days before the date, they called and canceled. apparently 2 doctors have to be there and one cant make it. pushed back another 3 weeks. 2 days before the date, again canceled. one of the docs had an emergency and cant make it again. another 3 weeks. third times the charm!!! right?? nope. 2 days before, canceled. another emergency. these doctors must be moonlighting as superheroes!!
