That part was not a big deal, and I fully understand that the substitution settings may have been my mistake. Since the Uber Eats driver had not yet arrived at the store, I called Blanchards simply to ask whether it might still be possible to swap the replacement for something else. The man who answered the phone was unbelievably sassy, rude, and condescending from the outset. Before I could even explain what I was asking, he interrupted me with, "Stop. What's your name first? What's your name?" I gave him my name and calmly explained that I was just wondering whether the replacement could still be changed. His response was, "Sweetheart, let me give you a little lesson in how this works." I politely told him that I understood how Uber Eats works and was only asking whether, since the driver had not arrived yet, there was any possibility of changing the replacement. He then called me "sweetheart" again and told me the item had already been rung up. Had he simply said, "I'm sorry, once the order is processed we can't change it," that would have been completely fine. I would have thanked him and moved on. The wine substitution itself was never the issue. What I found unacceptable was being spoken to like an idiot and repeatedly called "sweetheart" by a sassy male employee when I had been perfectly polite throughout the conversation. There was absolutely no reason for the attitude or the condescension. I've rarely felt compelled to write a review over a phone interaction, but this was genuinely appalling customer service. A simple "sorry, we can't change it" would have taken ten seconds and accomplished exactly the same thing without the condescending little "lesson in how this works."

He screamed, "F___ YOU" in an unprovoked verbal assault and cowardly act as he walked away from the counter. I'm sure he wouldn't have the guts to say that to a man. The clerk he referred to has always been professional, curteous and helpful,not only to myself, but to all customers. In fact, this store has a great, professional and friendly staff overall. I went into there and was casually looking at the bottles, not knowing what the fuck I was looking at, just trying to base how good a wine is by price. So I go to pick up a bottle and I knock another bottle over with my huge puffy coat. Crap. There was another woman standing nearby and I thought she was a customer, but her lack of jacket didn't seem to tip me off. I kind of gave her a little "shhh. This is just between you me and the wall of wine" sort of look. She loudly yells "Walter! We need a clean up by the wine bottles." Walter or whatever the fuck his name is comes with his mop in like 3 seconds, like he's been waiting for this moment and looks and says "This is a TWENTY dollar bottle of wine! TWENTY DOLLARS!" And I'm like "Well, I don't drop the cheap stuff. heh heh." *crickets chirping* So I buy a $30 bottle of wine to compensate for the bottle because I was going to try to find something $10 worth [Nothing but the best!] and I get carded. Crap. No ID. Oh shit! I was at the airport yesterday and I think I had it in my back pocket when we went through check-in. "Uhmmmm...I don't have my ID, but I have my Tufts Health card that has my birth date on it and here's my college ID from the late 90s with me with bleached hair so obviously, I'm old enough." She let me buy the bottle. I went home, uncorked and the only food I could make were instant potatoes and spinach-filled faux nuggets. Classy. So I got a replacement ID a week or so later and then a week after that, I'm taking all of my clothes off of this chair to do laundry [I'm kind of a slob] and out plops my ID in all it's over-21-ness. So if you look like me and are under 21, let me know. We'll discuss a price.

They share a parking lot (free) with a 24/7 CVS & a car repair shop. You can find all of the seltzers & beers stored in the fridges when you walk in & they have all the different alcohols organized well, by aisle & sections. I enjoy coming here because I always have an easy time finding what I'm looking for & prices are reasonable. They are also conveniently located by the Wollaston red line T station, right across the street.

Across street from Wollaston T stop on the redline. Open space, stand alone building. A staple in Wollaston. They have competitive pricing, some items cheaper here than some of the other stores toward Quincy center.
