If I could give negative stars, I absolutely would. This was hands down the worst service experience I've ever had. The tow truck driver was completely unprofessional and unaccommodating. I arrived at my car less than ten minutes after the service was called, yet he insisted I pay him $250 in cash, no exceptions, just to drop my car from the tow truck. When I explained it was a misunderstanding, he rudely told me I had to pay for his "time", which amounted to fifteen minutes max. Out of frustration, we agreed to pay just so I could leave. He then handed me an "invoice" just so he could pocket the cash. Pretty sure he just made up the amount on the spot. This man essentially scammed $200 for fifteen minutes of "work" and treated me with complete disrespect the entire time. Absolutely unacceptable and predatory behavior. read more

I called because my car was broken down in a West Chester Parking Garage and I was informed they were the tow company that would come in the garage to help. Dean was here within a half hour, wire brushed the corrosion off the battery connecters and jumped it and it started right away. This place is the worst place that I have ever gone too. I do not think I have met anyone that works here that is in any way friendly or helpful. I also realized that they are pretty much the lowest rated towing company in the area, so if you are in dire need of services, I believe you are better off waiting for a company than asking any of these awful people for any help. When I called to make a complaint because the tow-truck driver got in my face and took my phone out of my hand in an angry rage, they just said "we work with people all the time and it's annoying.". Seems like you may be in the wrong line of work considering you picked a job that is not only with people, but with people who are most likely feeling stressed out. The woman behind the counter was miserable. Acted as if doing ME a favor or as if I was a criminal??? They had my mother in law's car there after an accident. I offered them the salvage and asked what they would pay. They said they don't do that but that I could sign the title over to them and they would take care of it. I opted to call a service that would pay me for the salvage and after I paid the bill to the West End and 30min later the other salvage co showed up, the women behind the counter came running out screaming for the driver to get out of her yard and then kicked them off the property. Fortunately I could start the wrecked car and limped it to the street just off their lot and the salvage company loaded it there. Zero kindness, concern or any concept of customer service from West End! The bulldog (real dog) behind the counter had more personality and was slightly more friendly. My car was towed from a parking lot in Chester Springs to Westchester where West End stores their vehicles, and they charged me $645. When I inquired about why they cost was obscenely high, they responded in saying that the tow itself was separate from the cost of winching the vehicle into the truck. There was also a charge for storage and a charge for the lot, a disposal charge and a standby charge. Since you can't tow a car without winching it, and you can't store a car without a lot, I'm not sure how those are separate charges, and I'm even more puzzled by why they charge so much for those. I priced out the same exact tow from four other local tow companies in Chester Springs - Kenny's towing, Judges towing, Express towing and Bench's towing - and each one of them quoted me between $115 and $175 for the exact same tow. Why West End can up-charge so much more and get away with it? Well because it's a hostage situation and you either pay their fee or don't get car, and they'll charge you another $65 per day. West End is highway robbery. Avoid them like the plague, because they'll take all your money and then charge you more for the inconvenience of having to take all your money. read more

West End Towing are skum. If they didn't have a contract with West Chester they would have been out of business a long time ago. My car was there for 14 hours and they charge me a 2 day charge bc it got towed their at night and then charge me again in the morning when I removed it. They're only looking for profit and dont give a shit about the people whom either just lost their car or it got damaged. Then their dispatch sector is terrible. They dont explain exactly what they've been fed. They have no remorse or ethics. Other then trying to squeeze money out of their "clients". I would give them zero stars if I could. They towed my car because a pass was mistakenly left out of the car. Fair enough. But this happened while I was on vacation and I was not able to get the car until 6 days after they towed it. I was charged nearly $500 including storage. During those 6 days they left my car under a tree, in a poorly maintained lot. 6 days worth of sap, leaves and bird dropping we're all over my car. The thing is, I am a lawful resident of the lot it was towed from, The car had every right to be there. I had a pass hanging in my apartment it was, *frustratingly*, just never used. Again, *my* mistake. When I tried to explain this to them and ask them for some sort of concession they were completely inflexible. They kept telling me my car was illegally parked, to which I told them it was not illegal, just not correctly placarded. This distinction made no difference. Further, they only take cash. So I needed to play frogger and cross 322 twice, to get cash from the ATM at the CVS. This was amazingly frustrating. If I could rate them lower I would. My daughters car had to be towed and the next day my daughter arrived at the company to pick up the car. The tow truck driver who towed the car the night before was there. He said she should not drive the car as it was leaking oil. I got on the phone and he told me the car was leaking oil and that I should turn over the title, the car was done. My daughter asked to at least go and try to start the car. It started fine and so she opted to drive it to the mechanic to avoid storage charges. As it turns out the car is completely fine. Oh and the tow truck driver looked her up on social media and requested her friendship. Refused to let me see the video footage that I asked to see. Basically they knew they had done it but didn't want to have to fix it. Very sketchy place and horrific service. Illegally towed my car. When the owner of the building I parked at called to tell them they shouldn't have towed my car, they said it was in a completely different spot than where I parked. When the owner of the building corrected them, they stated it was a new guy who made a mistake and I could pick it up no charge. I'm not used to these little town hillbilly companies, that rip people off so blatantly. What towing company closes at 5pm but will tow your car at 5:01 to get the overnight charge? This one!!! Writing this review a week after my engagement with West End so that no one is mistaken that this was written out of anger. Recently I was towed in a lot that did not have adequate signage. I had parked my car to unload something into an apartment, and upon coming back down the steps ten minutes later, they had towed my car. I called immediately to ask about retrieving it but they were apparently closed. Funny because they just towed the car five minutes ago. I then asked when they were open to which they answered 9-12 the following day. Already an inconvenience as I had plans before 9. Upon arriving, the store was closed up and I waited 45 minutes for anyone to show up. The manager who I spoke with on the phone was rude and arrogant to a fault before I had even warranted attitude. $175 later for a 1/2 mile tow. 13 hours in a lot. Two rude reps. Very unprofessional in every sense of the word. I would strongly urge any complexes, parking lots, and other business establishments to shy away from using West End as your means for towing. It reflects poorly on your business. There are better options in the area that can properly police no parking zones without going to great lengths to abuse and take advantage of their power. Do not ever do business with these guys! I went to Westchester and parked in a parking lot outside where the old rite aid used to be. At night you cannot see the no parking signs the numbers on the parking spaces are so tiny and they were covered with snow anyway that night. I went to hear a band at a local bar. I was there for one hour, when I came out my car was towed! It cost me $175 and I could not get my car that night they made me come back the next morning! They are working this with the owner of the old rite aid building. They know that many people park there because the signs are not clear at night. They were towing people all night. Some nice locals were trying to warn people but they can't warn everyone. These guys are dirtbags. read more

I have used West End towing probably 5X. In all different situations, and also with different cars. They were prompt, did a great job, handled the cars carefully and went the extra mile to help us by dropping me and my daughter off at our home one time and another time helping my college age son and also helped us in our driveway with dead cars. Unbelievably Rude!! My daughter was towed in a lot that had a hidden sign. I tried to pay by credit card over the phone, the woman was so rude to me then said NO. Fine, so then I told her my daughter would stop home to pick my card. She said she wouldn't accept it unless I showed up in person. I had the bad luck of getting a flat tire and due to brine (so I'm told) the wheel was fused to the car and I could not get if off in order to put on the spare. The guy from West End came quickly when I called Sunday afternoon and using a big crowbar got the wheel off so I could complete the task of putting on my spare. Had an accident with undercarriage damage but NO BODY DAMAGE. Car was towed to WET and when it was delivered to mechanic the front end was torn off. the detailing strip was missing EVEN THE WINDSHIELD WIPER was broken. With 5 witnesses to the condition of the car before towing I was shocked that they would damage my car like that. Driver was not nice either and would not release car from hitch until he got a check!!! The one good thing was the young lady who answered the phone at WET. She was helpful. I am concerned that the police use this company when needing tows when they clearly do not care about the cars. You won't be able to get your car out until you sign a slip that says if they damage it they are not responsable, and if/when they do damage it there is nothing you can do.
