This company previously ran a drawing for its residents, offering a prize for leaving positive reviews on Google, Yelp, Apartments.com, etc. So, read positive reviews at your own risk, as you will not know if they are genuine thoughts, or if they are motivated by somebody merely trying to win a contest. Back in early 2024, residents received an email offering a drawing to win a prize in exchange for posting reviews on "what [they] love most about West End Village." At that time, I did not receive any comparable advertisements that any prize was available for neutral or negative reviews. In that email, there was also no requirement stated to disclose that any reviews written were incentivized by participation in the drawing. I think that influencing reviews like this can really hinder prospective customers' ability to get a real picture of how residents feel about this complex, and management. I also think its a red flag that West End Village felt that it was necessary to engage in this kind of activity. With that, I ask that you are careful with reading this company's positive reviews, carefully considering the motivation with which they were written. I will note, that I could also talk for paragraphs about this building's noise problems, low build quality, or the slow and rarely helpful nature of their management, but other reviews have already aptly covered these issues and many others. Editing my review now that my lease is about to end- Had a very positive experience living here. Would have liked to renew but there is no appeal for current renters and to renew as our rent was going to be jacked up hundreds of dollars per month. Apartment itself was clean, spacious and nice finishes. Gym is small and always had to compete for equipment. Pool only gets a few hours of sunlight due to it being built into the middle of the building. New Fetch package service they use is mandatory if you want to receive packages. We didn't like the idea of a middle man intercepting our packages and having to schedule delivery times for every item... I'm a nurse, I can't be on my phone scheduling deliveries all day. read more

This place has a great location and the staff is super friendly and helpful... However, the picture attached is one of the many things you'll have to deal with even though you're spending astronomical amounts of money to live here. In addition, the walls are super thin like everyone says so plan on a noise complaint if you have any intention of entertaining friends and family. The management seems to be somewhat understanding that it's an apartment and noise is just something that comes with the territory. I, for one, didn't expect to rent an apartment right next to Vanderbilt and be able to hear a pin drop at all times. I sleep like a baby regardless so its of very little concern to me. Updating because things have gone pretty downhill. I really do like the building, the staff was so amazing when I moved in. But since then, the mail/package situation is a MESS. They decided to no longer use a parcel system, so it's a scavenger hunt to find your package. The new people in the leasing office have no interest in helping, and say there's nothing they can do about lost/stolen packages. The girl I spoke to about my fourth stolen package wouldn't even check the office to see if any of mine were in there. She said there's no point because they are shipping everything back anyway. Packages are now left outside the building for days at all different doors. Also these units are now SO overpriced for cabinets that are falling apart, old features, and an older building in general. read more

We love the staff at West End Village. When we were helping our daughter find a place to live in Nashville we visited a dozen places trying to find something near the Vanderbilt campus. We like everything about WEV, the building is clean and modern, there is good security and gated parking, but the thing that really helped us make the decision to get her set up there was the staff, starting with our initial tour from the Assistant Manager, Natalie, she answered all our questions and then followed up with us in emails and phone calls. When it came time to do all the paperwork she was patient and helpful and since our daughter was still living in South Korea when she signed for the lease she helping work out all the details and made sure it would all go though without a hitch. We also really appreciated Yevette, the longtime housekeeping in Bldg B, who answered questions and she was sincerely soooo nice and caring. Garrielle at the front desk was always great and made sure we felt comfortable with some last minute arrangements. We highly recommend West End Village! read more

I've been renting apartments across the country for 10 yrs now and I am being completely fair with this review. If the units were 25% cheaper, then none of us have any reason to bitch and complain. If you're reading this, please don't feel desperate to rent the first available apt in Nashville. I know it feels hopeless, but I was and have been in utter misery for 14+ months from living in this OVERPRICED hell hole. 4 stars for the friendly staff & prompt maintenance crew. Now for the negative stars for this 1.5 yr old dwelling...... - poorly constructed building with cheaply sourced materials... - windows only close completely when maintenance closes them - ZERO insulation and paper THIN sheets of plywood between your ceiling and your upstairs neighbors floor. This is THE WORST & most DISAPPOINTING part about place. If you're going to charge me $1,500 for a 600 sq ft airplane bathroom-sized unit, I expect a well-constructed bldg. if you're out of renting options, PRAY you do not live beneath a man who gets home at 2am every night and plays with his rambunctious dog. I can't blame him for living. I can also hear my neighbors coughing, sneezing, conversing (btw I can make out every word), urinating, flushing toilets, etc- NO EXAGGERATION. - I faced Long Blvd and I can hear conversations of the people who live in the apt bldg on 31st & Long at all hours of the night. I also hear people walking normally outside my window. - some renters with dogs have ZERO regard for taking their dogs outside to defecate in a timely fashion. I've witnessed this on several occasions. Mgmt has asked us to take note of the offending residents. What a joke- you expect me to know 500+ residents? Also, why is there carpeting in the hallways and elevators? The elevators ALWAYS smell like urine. - garage doors are broken 90% of the time - garage entrance/exit (aka unreasonably narrow) is awkward to navigate - ridiculously overpriced. To give you some context, I recently purchased a 1,200 2 bedroom condo near Music Row ($300k+) and my mortgage + HOA is slightly less than what I had to pay at the West End Village - TVs in common areas and gym do not work - gym has 6 cardio machines... For 500+ residents. Ahh, genius! - cell phone service (Verizon and AT&T) is almost nonexistent. I'm ALWAYS dropping calls. I actually have to use Skype when I work from home. IN SUMMARY - SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. THERE IS HOPE FOR YOU. If you are an undergrad, stay in the dorms. YOU WILL THANK ME LATER. But, overall, I must thank WEV for this god awful experience, you inspired me to buy a well-built home. I do feel badly for the onsite mgmt, they can't do anything about the above. Now that the Ram management is gone, I am so much happier here! That girl Sara Loggins was a very hostile person. Her assistants Jad and Jessi were very nice but it didn't do much since Sara was the boss. Anyway, she's been gone for about 2 weeks now. The new management seems competent and friendly. Feel free to view my first review which has all the objective pros and cons. At this point, I'd like to put out what I feel are the biggest pros and cons to me. PROS (+) Location- AMAZING! off West End, near Centennial park, close to Vanderbilt and Belmont and a bunch of hospitals and downtown and Broadway's Honky Tonk bars, 15-20 minutes from airport, 15 minutes from huge outlet, 5 minutes from Green Hills Mall, lots of nearby activities. Dog Park next-door. (+) Convenience- elevators, appliances in unit (dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge, stove, microwave). The washer and dryer does a countdown to let you know how much time you have left. The dishwasher has a 1 hour wash function. Can pay online or walk a check to first floor. There is a digital thermostat in unit, bath and shower, linen closet, and small walk in closet. Great lighting in bathroom, closet and kitchen. Bike storage room. Indoor mailboxes. Vaulted ceilings. Trash chutes on every floor. (+) Friendly management and maintenance staff. Residents are mostly nice, I've come across maybe 2 rude and unfriendly residents but they're the minority. (+) Not entirely carpeted which was more costly for the original builders. (+) While the apartment doesn't insulate noise that well, it is pretty warm during the winters and cool during the summers. CONS (-) Walls are thin- it can get loud. Courtyard gets really loud and you can hear a lot of it. Walls and windows aren't great at insulating this out. (-) Parking and garage- not enough spaces! And the garage gate only opens with the remote but what about for delivery people or guests? The top deck has no protection which causes residents in the building on Long boulevard to park below during rainy or snowy nights. The exit/ entrance lane is just wide enough for one car although it should be two lanes. Also garage doors sometimes don't open!! I can never find parking in the garage and if I do, I have to walk pretty far to get to my car. (-) Small details- In unit, no coat closet at entrance, no lighting in living room area or bedroom area, and private balcony not very private. In building, gym doesn't have much equipment and packages sometimes get delivered to management (no notification system). The packages are supposed to go to your door or your mailbox but instead they can sit at the management office for days. Not enough dog posts (baggy dispenser and trash can) which means some irresponsible owners let their dogs poop on the grass and don't pick up. Home owners living next door are very aware of that and because of this, they keep a close eye on people with dogs. Elevators sometimes don't work. It feels like maybe once a month. That sucks. (-) I'm paying $1,390/ month for a one bedroom. I was looking for something for like $900, but for the prime location, I guess its worth it... the price does seem slightly jacked up though. Ideas for improvement: Aside from the 4 (-)'s, I would love it if they had a computer lab (desktop computers, printers, and fax machines in case of emergencies). For people who are wheelchair bound, those using a bike, or carrying large objects/ lots of groceries it would be so helpful if they could make the doors automatic so people wouldn't have to struggle with the doors. (maybe have a security post 5 feet from door where we can swipe our fob to ensure the building is still secure but also making it convenient by having the doors open for us if needed). And the downstairs garage gets really dusty so it would be helpful if there was a car cleaning area, but I guess thats asking a lot... Overall, this place is pretty awesome though! Just make sure that you seriously consider which apartment to choose in the building if you choose West End Village. I was stuck in the building to the left (on Long Boulevard) that has 2 or 3 bedrooms in each unit and is only 2 floors tall. Basically, you're directly on the street and you can literally hear people walking past your windows on the sidewalks and cars driving by. Its horrible! As for the main building that is basically a square, I chose an apartment on the inner part, facing the pool. The upside is that I knew I wouldn't have to worry about cars driving by and hearing that, but I do occasionally hear people talking in the pool courtyard. You can also hear muffled sounds from your neighbors. My apartment is pretty nice but I know for a fact that they're not all like this since I had to live in a different apartment for 2 months. Just make sure you consider the location of the apartment within this property or you could be miserable. read more

I lived here for 2 years and enjoyed my stay. The apartments are pricey for what you get but overall the living situation was nice. Bethany is SUPER nice in the leasing office. The building reminds me of adult dorms. The building and apartments are safe and I never felt uncomfortable walking around at night. BEWARE - make sure you give your written notice 60 days in advance if you plan to move out. I spoke with the leasing agents multiple times about moving out and not once did they mention signing a physical form. I had to pay rent 60 days from when I signed the physical piece of paper which extended what I owed to over a month after I moved out. They say that they will try to sell it so that you don't owe all of that but at those prices good luck. I understand that it is standard to give written notice but I would have appreciated the heads up when I spoke with them in PLENTY of time to give the notice. Other than that, if you can afford to live here it is a nice place to stay in Nashville! read more

I have lived here since May 20, 2014 and my apartment feels like a home and not an apartment. I lived in Saint Pete Beach FL prior to moving here -- i selected this place base on location and surrounding areas. I feel safe here and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and professional. Whenever I have a complain, they address it without any problems. Every single one of them is accommodating. As I have read some of the reviews, I cannot help but make a comment. Like the person that complained about getting a notice for leaving his trash bag open. Seriously, can you imagine if everyone left their garbage open? Do you want to live next door to a neighbor that would stink up the place. I have never seen that many people in the gym and it is a typical size for an apartment complex. I like the fact that the gym is facing the pool area rather than the street like other apartments I have seen in the area. I have a good understanding of architecture and construction from my major. Here in Nashville regardless of condos or multi-dwelling apartments, they are built in the same way due to lack of codes. Condos that go for $300K plus are built the same way as a $500k or $800k or an apartment building - constructed the same way from between floors or walls. Nashville is dominated by a few builders and they pretty much build by the same set of code requirements. Believe me and I have watched the apartments built by Centennial park, the apartments built three streets over and the new condos still not finished on Long. The only differences are finishing materials. If you are like me, I go around and check things out and observe...and that is how I chose this place. read more

West End Village - My apartment in West End Villae - Apartments Near Me - Nashville, Tennessee

WEV has a great location - close to Centennial Park, West End Ave. and close to the interstate. However, we were very disappointed with our stay at West End. The apartment building is not built to be very structurally sound - we could hear our neighbors above us and around us all of the time - in fact, we had a dog that would wake us up throughout the middle of the night and in the morning for the first five months of our lease (nearly half of it). The management would not do anything about this, but offered to paint us an accent wall or clean the little amount of carpet in our apartment for us in return for the headache (something that would only benefit the apartment building and not the renter). The TV's in the apartment gym never worked in the 13 months we were residents and there was no Wi-Fi for the gym either ... it would never connect. None of the residents cleaned up after their dogs making it very difficult to avoid the dog feces in between the street and the sidewalk. The garage doors were always up leaving little to no security as promised. read more

I have lived here two years and have had an absolutely wonderful experience. The building itself is new and always clean thanks to the staff who work really hard to keep it that way. If you need help with anything in your apartment the maintenance team is there to come in and fix it and they do so quickly. The managers are always polite and helpful (especially Erica!). Nice facility, but this place will try to charge you for ANYTHING they can. I got a new car last weekend and was charged $50 for a new parking sticker. During a global pandemic when I am already paying $1500 a month for rent, you would think that an apartment company would try to help out their residents anyway that they can. So, I have lived here since October of 2013 and I am currently in the midst of moving out (at no fault of West End Village, its a job transfer) so I feel its an appropriate time to write a review. Below you will find a few highlights, many of which have been covered by the other reviews. Pros: Location: This place is centrally located to just about everything that you could possibly need. This is the best part about this place. Management: Now that RAM is gone the new management is excellent, the staff here are all great (except this one maintenance lady who always has a sour look on her face, though I think its because she hates her job). They respond to pretty much anything right away be it questions or issues you may have. Security: Outside of the garage issues, the place is pretty secure with key fobs for all the locks and I do believe there is a security guy who makes rounds? Though I could be totally wrong on that front. People: Almost all the residents are friendly and respectful. Pool area is great for socializing. Mail: UPS/FedEx Delivery goes to the office and then brought to your door which is pretty nice, just wish there was a better notification system in place. Cons: Apartments: Super thin walls and ceilings, I swear I have pro wrestlers living above me. This place can get quite loud especially when the college kids (and there are a number of them) are in full party mode. Otherwise the apartment itself is fairly nice, nothing super special. Looks good but lacks a solid overall build quality (fit and finish wise). No lighting in the living area or bedroom is also a bit lame. Gym: Small, not a lot equipment but the bare basics for a full workout are there. Pool: Odd place to put a pool as half the time you are in complete shade and the water (which was originally supposed to be heated) is pretty cold more often than not. Parking: Garage can be difficult to navigate, lots of people park like jackasses and the doors are constantly on the fritz. Valet Garbage: No choice to opt out, its $20 a month. Sucks. Pets: Not enough doggie stations! Plus there are accidents in the halls. MOST people clean up after themselves and their pets however some do not and its rather unfortunate. Elevators: Slow as molasses, carpet interior (bad move for pets) and not enough of them. Price: Its a bit expensive, plus there are massive differences in price between residents for the same style/size unit. Overall the place is OK, nothing super special (especially at the price per square foot that you pay). The location is what makes this complex worth it, its in the middle of everything. I would have fulfilled my lease if I was staying in Nashville however I would not have chosen to renew it unless the price was dropped by a few hundred dollars. I opted to go for the smallest 1 bedroom (518 SqFt), as a word of advice go for the bigger one you'll thank me later. No major qualms with the place, my experience has been positive overall. As a two year resident I have experienced every aspect of west end village. First, my overall experience was pleasant. The management stays out of the way, and the neighbors mind their own business. Rarely did I hear of complaints involving the management, or residents. If that was all that mattered to me WEV would get 5 stars. But there is more to an apartment than that. First, probably my biggest pet peeve while living there was the "valet trash" program. This cost an extra $50 a room. How this price was determined or justified, I can not explain. If you have 100 rooms filled, that is $5000 a month the building is paying for a crappy service that always came late (some days never came) and only came during week days, and not on Fridays!!!!! We were told to put our trash out by 6pm and it would be collected by 8. If the person arrived by 10pm, it would be a miracle! Nothing like bringing friends over with the smell of garbage stinking up the hallways. Oh, and you can't opt out of the program, and they will only collect the garbage if it is in the tiny trash can they provide. Which makes no sense due to the fact everyone is paying for the service, so why need the trash can to verify you are paying customer..... Complaint number 2: the parking. I personally never saw the reason to change the previous system, but about 7 month ago they changed to a parking pass system. (The pass was a sticker used on windshield) Cars without the pass would get booted. All this did with clog up the street with parked cars of visitors, and leave the upper deck 65% empty 24/7. They have no visitor parking, which is a major inconvenience. The gates to the upper deck have been open for over three months. You pay extra for the security, but naturally don't get reimbursed for the lack of. There are zero excuses for why a gate would be broken for 3 months. And showing no effort to fix the issue. Complaint 3: The actually construction of the rooms. The common complaint in the other reviews is thin walls. These complaints are valid to an extent. The outside noise due to poor window insulation was unbelievable but the walls really weren't really the problem. Who ever designed the apartment, made it so the vents all connected. So noise carried through them. You could hear complete conversations through the vents, and hear other "sexual" noises also. But in my experiences I could never hear the people beside me or across. Complaint 4: The overall price. The apartment frankly does not justify the cost they are charging. Some easy fixes would be drop the valet trash fee, and security cost. It's nonexistent. At a cheaper price my complaints would be much more limited, so if you want to charge luxury prices for a 900 square feet apartment, be ready to be held to a luxury standard. They do not meet it. I would look else where, if those listed bother you. It will only get worse once you pay for it, and they make no effort to improve. read more

This was my third apartment to live in while studying in Nashville. When the complex was being finished in June of 2013, I was so excited to be living at a brand new apartment, in the perfect location. Aesthetically, the complex is perfect. However, there were definitely more pros than cons in the year I spent living there. Being such a new complex, there were issues with the windows and doors not being properly sealed, leaking toilets and showers. Most of the issues were "fixed" within a reasonable time, but the issues caused a major increase in my electricity bill. The "gym" wasn't opened until 6 months after I moved in. If you're looking for a nice, spacious, functional gym facility, this place is not for you. Also, the pool opened in 2014. Ridiculous. Then there was the parking situation. Yes, it's very nice to have the option to park in the gated back lot, gated underground parking, or the street. However, the underground parking is extremely tight, part of it isn't underground, and there aren't any security cameras. My brand new 2014 civic was hit and nothing could be done about it. Also, the walls are floors are extremely thin. Living in an apartment complex, this is expected. However, the noise level from Post-Grad students was unbearable most weekends and some week nights. RAM was the management company when I signed my lease for a 2 bed, 2 bath in building B. They were always helpful, quick to respond, and very easy to work with. When the current management company took over, I couldn't have been more disappointed. The maintenance crew I had found so helpful before was replaced. The new crew doesn't even communicate directly with management, since they're a third party company. I spoke with multiple workers after filing complaints on random power outages and broken elevators. The online option to pay bills was a complete mess for weeks, management would not answer phone calls, emails, and were extremely rude in person. They also switched over the utilities bill, which seemed to magically increase. Upon moving out, I was charged with "damages" for my shower not being as white as the day I moved in. Overall, if you're looking for quality, you won't find it here. The management team is terrible. The apartments are NOT worth what you're paying. For $1980 a month, I got loud neighbors, dysfunctional "new" appliances, "green" electric bills, brown fluid leaking into my windows, cold winters from unsealed doors, terrible cell service, a joke of a "gym", and the worst traffic from both West End and 65- no matter what time of day it was. Is the location prime? You betcha. Is it beautiful on the inside and out? Yep. Does the management team pull of fake smiles and helpful attitudes well? Oh yes. But there are a lot of places much nicer than West End. If you really want to get the best "bang for your buck" just live downtown. The prices are practically the same (probably cheaper now since West End has upped rent prices by over $100), you'll get more of the Nashville vibe, and you'll have a much better living experience. Don't get sucked into the looks of this complex. It's an overpriced, knockoff of upper class apartment living. I would live in my first cockroach infested apartment before I ever lived here again. read more

We were so excited about moving into these new apartments--wish that we could write a better review. We have never written a Yelp review, but we felt people deserved to know these things before signing a lease. Just as a follow up to Alex P.'s post: -We have lived here for three weeks and the covered parking is not finished -The fitness center is not finished -They are not opening the pool until spring -The extra storage costs more than a normal storage facility ----Normally, these things would not bother us at all. However, management seemed to leave these details out, even after they gave us the keys to move in. Overall, the management is not helpful; they are actually pretty rude. Almost 20 people moved out this month! Management is too cheap to fix the parking security gates after two years of them being broken 99% of the time. Management is too cheap to have grass along the front of the street. The vacant lots have more grass along the sidewalks than we do. Garbage bags and empty garbage containers are always in the interior hallways. Residents are allowed to tie their dog to the outside of their apartment instead of walking them. The hallways have not received any touch up painting in two years. But they spent a ton of money to put weatherproofing on the parking deck. The management has zero presence except to send out nasty emails. Like telling us to make sure whatever car we use has a parking sticker. Did you bother to explain why YOU have done nothing to fix the parking gates?? Yes, we care about having a secure parking deck. People are moving out because it is crazy to pay $2000/month or more and feel like you are in a low income project. Do your research before moving here. read more

WEV has an amazing location. I have a dog, so the proximity to the dog park makes it feel like it is your own back yard. It is also an easy walk to many restaurants, a short uber ride to most places, and a short distance to the interstate. I rented this apartment sight unseen a little over 3 years ago and have been very happy with my experience. I find that most people in the complex are quiet and respectful of their neighbors, which is refreshing for apartment living. I lived in West End Village for close to 2.5 years and overall, had a great experience there. Realistically, everything is not perfect at WEV, but the good far outweighs the bad, so I'm giving them 5 stars. Cons: PRICE seems to be a big sticking point for a lot of people, and I do agree, it is not a cheap place to live, but Nashville is not a cheap place to live. While there are less expensive apartments in this city, I am unaware of any place in that general location with those amenities offering better rates. NOISE can sometime be an issue in these apartments. I can't argue that the sound insulation leaves something to be desired, and inevitably, there will be one night when you really need to sleep and one of your neighbors is making noise. That being said, a lot of times it was the people outside that made the noise. I was once woken up in the middle of the night to some guy walking down the street singing "I Don't F*** With You" at the top of his lungs...just part of living in a city. QUALITY OF CONSTRUCTION could be better. You can tell this complex went up in a hurry and some of the subcontractors cut corners. Additionally, the interior is designed to look high end without actually being high end (e.g. faux wood floors). This never bothered me much. It was a place I was living in, not my own personal property. Make your own judgement. RESPECT FOR PROPERTY BY RESIDENTS was often uninspiring. I don't consider this a WEV fault, but it is worth noting for potential residents. WEV makes due effort to keep the property clean and remind residents to be respectful, but you will likely see careless messes left by individuals (e.g. spilled drinks in the elevator). Pros: You simply can't beat the LOCATION. It's a $5-10 Uber and walking distance to tons of great restaurants and bars. It is also just down the street from Centennial Park, where there is always something going on. I only moved about two miles away (I bought a house), and I already miss the WEV location. The STAFF was phenomenal. They were always friendly when I would see them around the building, and promptly attended to any administrative and maintenance requests. In my last few months of living at WEV, the staff (especially Bethany and Mandy) went above and beyond. Long story short, my house closing got pushed back and they helped arrange for me to extend my lease in my apartment. The AMENITIES were key in my decision to live here. As I mentioned earlier, you can't find a better priced apartment with these amenities in the area. I was set on living in a apartment with a washer/dryer in unit and a gym. WEV had both of those things plus walk out balconies, pool, granite counter tops, and great closet space. The overall VIBE is the last thing I'll mention. This apartment is home to many recent college grads/people in their mid-20s. As a recent college grad in my mid-20s, this was a great atmosphere. I knew a lot of people who lived in building and even met people during my time at WEV. tl;dr If your a twentysomething living in Nashville and have an realistic expectations of the rental market in Nashville and what living close to other twentysomethings will be like, this place is an awesome place to live. read more

I moved into West End Village in July; I was one of the first move-ins. Since there was still (and is still) quite a bit of construction going on, moving conditions definitely weren't ideal but the staff was great to work with. Everyone was friendly and understanding about things not being completely ready to go. My only "complaint" would be that the pool and fitness center aren't done yet, which I think a lot of people here have similar feelings about. But I do get that there is give and take with moving into a new place. I plan on being here a while so I guess I will have to be patient......I'm still rating 5 stars though. I'd rather be in a brand-new place and have to wait on the extras than be in an older place that costs just as much. Maintenance is pretty awesome. Probably the best I've ever seen at an apartment complex. The main maintenance guy is very professional and the one issue I did have was fixed literally immediately. Parking will be nice, but access to the lower parking deck is behind schedule as well. Overall, I am very happy with my choice to live here. I looked around a lot and this is the best price and location I could find. read more

West End Village's property management team is incredibly helpful, from the first time we took a tour to a month after we've moved in, they have been with us every step of the way. It has been such a smooth transition! I'm so impressed with the facilities, from the our actual apartment to the fitness center and pool! It has made coming home every day exciting! read more

I'm giving one solid star for the new management team being nice and the maintenance team being very fast and responsive. Now for the cons...... - The construction on the place is HORRIBLE! It makes since that RAM management sold the place as soon as it was finished. Very thin walls...awkward. In the winter you could stand next to the window/patio door and feel the cold air coming in. The granite countertops are nice..but must not have been sealed because they get water spots!! The floors are cheap vinyl. Nobs on cabinets crooked..etc. -Price. When we moved in we were initially told that trash service would be in included in our rent. When the new company took over the bills for utilities magically went up when they decided to take on water/trash. Yes this is a great location but 1357 for less then 700 sqft!? They blame it on the market which is partially true but you can find other places in the west end area for a more reasonable price. -"Amenities" the pool is more like a lounge area and only gets sun in certain times of the day. The grill was unusable because everyone kept forgetting to turn off the gas. The gym is a joke. The movie room doesn't even have a cable box. -I love that west end village allows pets but good god I can't tell you how many times I stepped in dog shit getting into my car that is parked on the street. I hate to sound so negative but I'm hoping this will help those of you that work hard and have to pay for all of your rent on your own....because the median income and cost of living is nashville is NOT reflective of how much some of these company's are charging in rent. STAY AWAY. I cannot even begin to describe how terrible this place is. The are super rude and lazy. I've been trying to get my final payment in for weeks now and they've made it near impossible with all the restrictions of how and when you can pay it. I just want to be done and give them the money to never deal with this place again. Management is terrible. It was insanely noisy all the time and I would file complaints and they would do nothing about it (actually that's not true they told the person I complained about my personal information so then they left it up to her to confront me which she did). Another highlight of my stay was when there was a glass cup shattered in the stairwell outside my apartment for three days straight and my dog cut her foot on it because they didn't bother to clean it until I pointed it out. The place is ridiculously expensive and not worth a penny or your sanity so save your money. read more

I loved living at WEV! The location is amazing, and I always felt safe there. Bethany in the office was always great, and responded promptly to any requests. The maintenance guys were awesome as well- we only needed them maybe twice for changing out light bulbs, as our ceilings were very high in the living area, but they were there within a couple of hours. For the price point, this was definitely one of the best options in West End. They were even flexible with lease terms when I moved out, which was a huge weight off my shoulders as I was able to stay a bit longer before relocating for work. It has been almost 2 years since I moved out, but I would definitely recommend checking this place out! read more

I have lived here since this complex opened and has seen improvements only when the next management took over after RAM Partners made a mess of everything. The folks living here have not had a chance to enjoy the pool area, since this was failed to be completed until late fall. However, the pool is now complete and is going to be great come summer months. The fitness area is small compared to the number of people living here. But, it a perfect place to grab a quick workout. The parking situation could be better. The upper garage has no covering so during the nasty weather individuals who normally park up top, park down low causing a problem with parking for the individuals who normally park on the bottom. The safety of the building is above average. You need fab assess to all doors around the perimeter of the property. The room are probably the most disappointing piece of the complex. The walls and ceilings are paper thin. You can tell they were rushing to put the place together because the craftsmanship is horrible. I have lived at West End Village for about 1.5 years now and the whole time I have been here the staff has been incredibly responsive to any issues or concerns I have had. Any service requests that I put in have been responded to in less than 24 hours. Aside from that, the best part about living here is the community. The management does an awesome job of planning activities that allow you to get to know your neighbors and really creates a sense of community. Some reviews have said that you can hear everything from your upstairs and downstairs neighbors, but I don't think that this is really any worse than any other apartment complex - that is what comes with apartment living sometimes and most people in the community are very considerate. The location is also great - I work in Midtown and my partner works outside of the city, so it is great being close to Midtown but close to the highway as well. read more
