I don't know when I've had better customer service, these people know their stuff and actually care about your home. Do not hesitate to give them your business!

I have shopped there for 12 years, perhaps 2-300$ a year. I brought in a blank key I had purchased many years ago and asked them to make a copy of my house key. They told me I had to buy a new blank or they couldn't do it. People shop at places like Jabos to get the service you can't get at the box stores. The young man couldn't figure out how to operate the machine and wouldn't admit it. Then he got a lady who gave me the "you have to buy from us" routine. Neither were friendly. Then the manager finally came and gave me the same routine. Finally I asked him if he was going to be able to help me. I asked the question in a way that got to the point and made him decide. He stammered around and never did answer. At that point I did say "shit" to which he got immensely offended and started pointing his finger at me. "The new machine won't let us". Surely there is an override and in the rare event that there isn't, I hope the owner takes note. Needless to say, but I won't be returning to the local small business because of two things. Poor attitude and poor service. As the manager of a small store, you have to make big decisions. they made me feel as though I was at one of the big box stores. The sad thing is that I shop there because I had come to enjoy and expect the service, in a world that service is hard to find. Before you judge me, let me ask you. One where you can actually ask for advice on a project you are working on and deepen your perspective on the project. THAT is Ace Westlake. I came here today and really enjoyed my visit and discussing my project with them. They really did add the perspective I reference and that has me taking a step back before moving forward, just to make sure the direction I move is the way I want to go! Fast forward to this morning, I go out to the boat at 6:00 am and begin the roll and tip topcoat. However with every other stroke the brush was shedding bristles into the finish. Long story short I take the brush back to Elliots and the front desk clerk, says we can't take back brusjes that have been used. I said how could I know the brush is defective if I didn't use it. He then says that's not what's happening here. You bought the brush, used and now that you're finished you're returning it. Anyway the store mgr. ultimately made it right, but my issue is being accused of being a thief, I was definitely not okay with that and I expressed that to him in language the preacher shouldn't hear.

I thought I had found the hook I wanted but when I was looking in the bin where that hook was supposed to be, I found a hook I liked a lot better so I bought it instead. It was a quick self-checkout and then I was out the door and back on the highway in no time!
