I took my dog there yesterday because my regular vet, Ozark vet was packed. I was there less than 20 minutes, paid $180 and less than 24 hours later Honey has same symptoms Now I will have to pay another bill to see actual results. should have waited on Ozark. Ozark vet explains everything and asks if you're ok with service and price prior to rendering treatment. will not ever go back to Westgate and I don't recommend them to anyon! read more

I can not recommend West Gate enough. I first went to them when I took in a stray cat. Through 9 months with him we were visiting the vet on average every 2 weeks. Every time they were attentive, honest, and didn't try and nickel and dime me for every cent I had. They always gave me every option and told me pros and cons of everything and would even go out of their way to save me money. If something was cheaper somewhere else, they would tell me. When our former stray had to unfortunately be put to sleep, they gave me and my girlfriend a card signed personally by everybody at the vet. I now have a dog who has severe anxiety at the vet due to past experiences and Dr Sayre took the extra time to make my dog comfortable while giving him time to open up without rushing him. Dr Sayre and Dr Barber have always done right by me and my pets and I won't even consider going to another vet because of how great of an experience I have had and continue to have with every visit. read more

I'm not real comfortable with veterinarians taking my baby behind closed doors to administer shots, but they do it so I quit them.

Great staff just wished they did walk ins. I've arrived for appointments with legit no one in the parking lot but myself lol I don't understand that if someone came in they should be able to get seen. Obv with a wait but still. I do dislike how they have taken my pet to the back for shots, I would personally have that done in front of me so I can se show you handle the animals. As well be able to give a proper price quote as I been given a price but then when leaving it's more than quoted. read more

We took our puppy in for the treatment of tapeworm as well as some booster shots. Everyone at the front desk was extremely helpful and I was able to get an appointment very easily. The techs were pleasant, professional and helpful and my puppy was never overly fearful or nervous. Dr. Carter was awesome! She was very gentle with our pup, gave me all the information that I needed and didn't try to push any products on us. I loved their "distraction" method of administering two shots. She didn't move from the smashed treat and seemed to never feel a thing. I was in and out of the appointment within an hour (new patient). The cost of the visit was also very reasonable and wallet-friendly! read more

The entire staff is extremely helpful. My family and I just moved here, including my very sick pup, Bentley. Dr. Lull and the receptionists made it their priority to take us on and provide us with extremely fast and efficient service. They have medications ready for us same day and Dr. Lull personally calls with any questions she has about Bentley's medication. I have nothing but good things to say about the Drs and staff at West Gate. I travel for work, so when I can't take my fur ball I'm usually able to board her with them. I have even dropped her off and ask if they could do an exam based on some things I noticed, the Vet called me after the exam to go over everything and explain things. The only reason I don't give them a 5, is because I do wish they had it so I could pick up my dog on weekends. I don't like having to pay for the extra two nights if I get back from a trip late on a Friday, but that's the only complaint I really have. I would fully recommend West Gate read more

Westgate used to be an excellent veterinary hospital. It seems that over the last year or so things have changed for the worse. First- I was upset when I called to make an appointment nobody mentioned that my Vet Dr no longer works there. They never mentioned that the doctors had changed. Second, at the spot they went ahead and did some testing without getting my approval and letting me know the cost. When I asked if the test was necessary and what it was for and stated I didn't think it was necessary the vet said it was already being done. I spent hundreds of dollars and know nothing new about my dog who is having some serious health issues. I did not have a good feeling from the time o walked in. I would have made and excuse to leave but I was ultimately concerned about my dog. I feel I was misinformed and pushed into unnecessary tests. As of right now I would not recommend. read more

I wanted to update. Dr. Bragg is no longer with Westgate. I've been going to Westgate vet for my dog for 2 years now. I see Dr. Brooks for all of my dog's needs. We do routine vet visits, emergency last minute visits, paranoid dog mom phone calls, grooming appointments(love love love), and she is kenneled there when I go out of town. My dog is handled extremely well! The prices are very reasonable, and they are truly the lowest I've ever paid for veterinary services. I highly reccomend this vet to anyone who is looking for quality service. read more

Best Vet! I cannot express how great Dr. Carter and his staff is! Our dog was diagnosed with cancer and the Dr. Carter has just been amazing. I cannot thank him enough for what he has done for our dog. The staff calls you to check on your pet, they don't rush you during appointments, and they are very personable. I've left a review for this vet before and have to say almost a year later, I'm even less impressed. I received another snarky comment from someone behind the counter about my dog "being a handful" while having his nails trimmed. I hardly think my dog is the first one in there to squirm for that. I think this vet is highly over rated and I'm not sure why the military community loves them so much. They always push to get me to pay for the service one level higher than the one I want (Nail trim? How about the Dremmel for 6.50 more? Etc.). I'm ready to find a new vet. I've had it with these pushy, snarky people who offer average services for a high price. read more

We had a great experience getting shots, microchip, and a checkup for our puppy. Every member of the staff was cheery and happy. We had previously tried a place in Ozark that was cheap, but rushed. The Vet and assistant at West Gate were knowledgeable, extremely thorough, and explained not only the work performed, but the next steps we needed to take. Update: we used them for boarding and our puppy came back happy and healthy -- their boarding price was extremely reasonable too. read more

Dr. Carter took care of my Belgian Malinois. He performed the abdominal ultrasound to find my boy's un-descended testicle, and performed the lap surgery to remove it. We had a lot of difficulty during the healing process, and lots of repeat exams, but Dr. Carter consistently backed his work and did NOT charge me for anything that he did beyond that initial work. A week after surgery, I took my Mal to Jacksonville where he ended up needing emergency care when he opened up. Because he still felt responsible for the incision opening (despite my dog's uncontrollable, hyper nature) he wrote me a check for the emergency visit I had in Florida. Wonderful man, wonderful team in that clinic. I definitely would recommend West Gate for anyone's animal. read more

I do not recommend boarding at this facility, I boarded my dog over a weekend. When I picked him up he had poop all over his body and was extremely malnourished. He has never played in his own waste and is still growing so he never denies food or water so the facility staff is at fault. Protect your pet by not taking them here read more

We've taken our three dogs there for the past 8 years (~their entire lives). Always had beyond wonderful service by caring staff and Dr Brooks. Just had two of them boarded there for nearly a week, and was worried about them the entire time. Got one back with a ruptured anal gland from her bath and a baggie of meds, and neither had apparently been given the Heartgard I specifically requested when we dropped them off (if they were given it, it wasn't noted on the bill). On the upside, the other dog (a GSD mix) has never been softer or shedded less than after the bath they gave him. Kudos on that. read more

I've taken my fur kids to the folks at West Gate for several years. The staff are all caring professionals. They examine and treat my pets thoroughly, not just relying on a cursory exam. If I want further tests or treatment, they will either do it or advise me why it's not a good idea. Exactly the reason we go to vets...for their EXPERTISE! I will find it very difficult to find a veterinary hospital with staff as good as these guys when I move outside the country. read more

We love our vet. They always get us in for an appt right away when we need one. Very friendly. I use their wellness plan for both my cats and the cost is worth it considering the price of flea prevention meds anyways. Definitely recommend for anyone in enterprise or on rucker looking for an off post vet. read more

I had a terrible experience with Dr. Bragg. Apparently she is not willing to help outside of the office hours. So if your animal is in serious need after hours, lights out door closed she does not care. I prefer a vet that understand things come up like a normal doctor does because my animals are my family and I want the best for them. I would go elsewhere and not waste your time. read more

I have been looking for a vet for awhile in this area. One of my dog's was abused and is very picky about what humans he deals with. I first took him to another vet and the experience was AWFUL. I needed someone caring, intelligent, and likable by my dogs. I went here and we were treated well. I was very happy with the service and will definitely be going back. read more

Dr. Carter and his staff were WONDERFUL! I have a border collie rescue who has a lot of fear issues from being abondoned/abused. They treated him so gently that he was on his back having them rub his tummy after they finished! Not only did they take great care of him, but the office visit was so easy and efficient. I called at 8am, they said they could see me at 9:30, and we were out of there by 10:00. I have never seen such customer service! Since I was also carrying my infant in his carseat, the receptionist even brought all forms to me so I didn't have to go up to the desk at all. Can't recommend this vet high enough! Wish we weren't moving so that we could continue to take our dog to Dr. Carter! read more

Oh my goodness where do I get started? So, I have a 5 month old great Dane I usually take to fort rucker vet clinic. I will not be going back there, I called last minute to west gate to get Butler (my great Dane) his bordetella vaccine so I could go out of town for the weekend and place him in a kennel. I was looking at bed and biscuit at $25 a night. So, WEST GATE worked me in first thing after lunch. took them a copy of the all updated vaccines as well. the ladies upfront are phenomenally sweet! They loved om butler 75% of the time while waiting to go to the back. Everybody who came through the door that was regular they knew by name. Very warming. When taken to the back the vet checked butler administered him his vaccine was gentle, loving, and kind.. even butler was calm! As I was leaving I found out they board. They worked me in for that day to Monday! $18 a night. $55 total for the boarding. Provide bedding, and their own little play area with no dogs so no attacks can happen! Offered to groom him while there too! I brought his food but they offer feeding their food as well. The office visit with 2 vaccines was $80. Which compared to the prices around here ILL TAKE IT. So, while I was gone they sent me emails and a app you can download where they can remind you of everything needed to be done or updated! All around an amazing place with amazing people. Made an appointment to get dogs groomed and shots at 7 o'clock in the morning, dropped them off. They said they would be ready after lunch, no call. I called them at 3'oclock pm nothing had been done except their shots ($52). I said I will be there in a minute to pick them up. Excuse after excuse is all they had, my dogs came out all chopped up like they tried to hurry up and give them a hair cut before I got there, guess they didn't know I was a mile away, they look like crap. They made 10 grooming appointments that day with 1 groomer. This place has management problems, obviously he hires uneducated people so "he/she" can pay them a less salary. read more

We ALWAYS have to wait a fair amount before being seen HOWEVER the Doc's make up for this by acknowledging the lengthy wait and ensuring that they take as much time as they need with you and your pet -despite (probably) being late for the next appointment. I don't know if I'd board here as it always sounds as if some poor dog is being abused in the back (barking, howling and carrying-on!) but, the staff and the Doc's are all so super nice and helpful. read more

I bring my cat and puppy here and they are great! My puppy was sick and they made a same day appointment and gave me samples of all of the meds he needed. They are always accomadating and extremely helpful. They also have their own pharmacy which makes it convenient when your animals are sick. This Vet Care facility has treated my two pets for the past year plus. The receptionists were extremely nice and helpful, and the Doctors were superb. After being told when calling during an emergency (my dog actively having a seizure) and told to go to Dothan emergency vet, I found a new vet. One that takes emergencies here in enterprise because I don't want to have to drive a suffering dog 45 min away. I want them helped ASAP. I have 10 dogs. They lost 10 clients because emergencies aren't actual emergencies to them. 45 min is a long way to drive a seizing dog. read more

Nice people and vets but way overpriced and they kept on performing procedures without letting me know in advance and it was racking the bill up. They are pretty sneaky and they didn't even see the worms in my dogs poop. It had worms when I picked it up and put it in an air tight bag and when they tested the poop they said the dog didn't have worms. I told them I had physically seen them and how can that be possible. Then the vet said oh well it's probably tape worm and have some mess. If I didn't say anything I guess they would have just let my dog have worms. Makes me wonder if they are really performing these tests or if the person doing them are qualified. Overall place sucks. read more
