On arrival, the reception was deserted with a notice on the window to call a mobile number if we wanted assistance. Check-in was then swift and friendly, and we were shown to our room. The room itself was pretty standard - about what you'd expect from a motel. Our breakfast tray was delivered the night before, after we were asked to select cereals/toast spread. Unfortunately, it didn't come with cutlery and the reception was abandoned again the next morning, rendering half of our breakfast useless. It was quiet, and the crickets sang us to sleep. That's a big plus. The next morning, as we woke, the owner let herself into our room, believing we'd checked out already because our car wasn't directly outside our room. This was a bit startling to say the least, but she was very apologetic and mistakes happen, so it's no drama. All in all, this is a reasonable, well-priced little motel.

Sure, the trains don't pass here all that often, and do stop rather early as well, but the station is reasonably nice, and quite accessible as well.

Well, I guess that is the case with quite a lot of stations, but the thing is that this is way out in the country, and if you are like me, and are just visiting, then if you miss the train then, well, you are sort of stuck here for the night (though there may be other options available). Yeah, there is really only a shelter, and a time table and that is about it, and the trains go reasonably regularly, for the regional services that is. Still, at least there is a station here, and at least trains stop here as well, which means that I can get off and have a walk around, which is basically what I did. Nothing spectacular, but it works.
