All 3 of my kids are going here! They have helped so much! My kids feel welcomed and safe, and are always asking if they can go! My youngest always has a smile when she is getting dropped off. She never cries during drop off and sometimes is even trying to get out my arms so she can go play! I also love seeing all the updates of what they are doing on the app! I took a tour of this place recently, because I was THINKING of finding part time care for my 2.5 year old. I had inquired months back and then they called me a few days ago and asked if I wanted to come and sign up because they are giving out discounts right now. Lol that was the first red flag. Obviously they have lost some business if they are calling people from months prior and offering a discount. Anyways I said why not and I took my daughter there to see it. First and foremost, when I walked into the two year old class room, it smelt like straight up piss. The lady told me they change diapers every two hours unless the kid poops. So these poor kids are sitting in their wet diapers for two hours because they get changed. Disgusting and lazy in my opinion. Then, I was shocked when I walked in there too because aside from the smell, they two year olds were WATCHING TV. Are you kidding? I don't care if it's raining outside there are HUNDREDS of other things and activities to do with two year olds. Why pay someone this much money to sit your kid in front of a tv? This place is a SHAME. And should be out of business. The list of red flags goes on and on, but I couldn't get out of there fast enough. It reminded me how LUCKY I am to stay home with my babies because NO ONE will take care of your kids the way you do. Sent my child home because he wouldn't take a nap (he is 3) it's frustrating because you would think they would have different ways to help a child acclimate on their first day (especially when a lot of children haven't had much daycare during the pandemic) he's been at other daycares in the area with no problems we decided to give this one a try since it had good reviews and we had a backup care program through work. I don't know if it's because we weren't paying tuition yet or what but I've worked in child care before and never had to send a kid home. Each child is different and some may take some time to adjust to a new schedule. My son was very excited to be around other kids and be in a new environment . My youngest daughter has attended for quite some time now and I just don't have sufficient words to describe how absolutely amazing they are. The director Andi and Serena the assistant director are wonderful, caring, patient, knowledge, dedicated, hard working,, so creative, and have gone above and beyond on so many occasions I can't even count. All the staff there are amazing. I've honestly never seen more happy kids (of all ages) at many of the other daycare centers my kids have attended in the past. I literally consider them like family. My daughter would not be thrilled sometimes when I would occasionally show up early to pick her up. The center is so clean and cute...my daughter loves their food (she's picky) and the back play yard is gorgeous. They have handled the inevitable kiddo conflict with immediate responsiveness and beyond impressive resolutions. They care!! All the staff is amazing. Our kiddos have been going to Kindercare since 2016. We relocated to this area and did a great amount of research, while touring many daycare facilities. I really liked the security code for parents at the front door. I like the layout, that the infant rooms are in the front, 2-4 year olds are sectioned off in their own classrooms, Then school agers in the back. They are a Nationally Accredited child development learning center. I appreciate that they invest in their staff and allow a certain amount of hours towards teacher development. Their entire staff are remarkable from the director to their teacher aids. They have a wonderful nurturing nature and treat all parents and littles like family. This was important to us as replants and I trust them all implicitly with my kids. I believe the great community credit starts with their director Melissa and assistant directors Alicia and Andie. They have additional curriculum programs like phonics, stem activities, even soccer shots. They have a healthy menu for littles that includes breakfast, lunch, and snack. They keep their facility clean and sterilize all toys. Now with COVID-19, they strictly follow the CDC and CDPH guidelines to keep families and littles safe. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a quality child care experience! read more

This KinderCare has it all, talented, attentive, patient, organized, fun-loving staff who engage in a positively structured/creative learning environment. I only have nice things to say about this KinderCare. I set out about 8 months ago to find a child care/ preschool a couple days a week for my 3-year-old. I shopped La Petite in Roseville and this KinderCare, I had planned to also visit Childtime (next door to KinderCare) but after visiting KinderCare I knew I wanted to send my child there. To compare visits, when I went to La Petite even though I made an appointment, the center director acted like she was surprised to see me asked what my name was and then explained she said she couldn't shake my hand because she just put lotion on. Not a terrible, but less than impressive greeting. La Petite was nice, it was smaller and the more I spoke with the director the more underwhelmed I became. The woman just didn't seem very personable. She pointed out a few things about the different activities, it was the start of their summer program and they did have some fun things planned for the kids which I liked. She didn't have a whole lot of information to share and just looked at me and asked if I had any questions. I drove from there to KinderCare and my Initial experience was like night and day. I also met with one of the center directors and after knocking at the front I was greeted with a smile, handshake and, "Karin right?", she was friendly, full of information, and answered my questions honestly. You could tell she was happy to be working there and I appreciated not feeling bs'd. After being at KinderCare for about 8 months I see the same consistency as I did at the initial visit. The staff and directors are all friendly and seem genuinely happy to be there. My child got a good bump on the head when she fell on the play ground and one of the directors called me right away to let me know. There summer program had tons of fun activities for my child. Now that it is fall every friday they have a fun theme like, crazy hair day or mismatch day, including different fun activities during the week. I love my child's teacher and I get a ton of art that they do in class and a daily report as to if and what she had for lunch and if she napped. As far as the price comparison, KinderCare is a bit more, not by a lot. I think most parents would agree, of all the places I'm going to look for a bargain, the people caring for my children is not one. read more

It pains me to have to write this about Kindercare but I feel the need to let parents know what kind of center this is. After having my daughter at two previous Kindercare's, I felt that keeping her at Kindercare when we moved to Sacramento would be an easy transition for her especially because we have had such great experiences with Kindercare. After nearly a year of attending the Granite Bay Kindercare, while picking up my child I have witnessed numerous occasions (3 times weekly at the very least) in the past year where the children will be sat in front of a television watching movies in the last hour before being picked up. I understand if it's hot outside or raining and the children need to be inside but my money is not paying for my daughter to be watching TV. Nor do we reward my child with candy. She will come home asking to watch TV and asking for candy as a result from the way this Kindercare is being ran. Director and managers at the Granite Bay Kindercare I am disappointed with the childcare. My daughter has attended 5 daycares and never have children been sat in front of the TV or been given candy as a reward. If the TV has to be on, might I suggest something educational. Or better yet turn off the TV and read to the kids, have them paint, color or just play... very seldom is it that I see the assistant teachers interacting or engaging with the children. The staff seems to be very reactive in that attention is only given to children when they are doing something wrong. I have caught the staff speaking very condescendingly to these young children which is very disturbing as my daughter has come home mirroring this type of language and tone. I fear sitting down with management and having this discussion. I would hate for my daughter to be treated differently because of mine and other parents dissatisfaction. read more

KinderCare Granite Bay is amazing. I moved to the area and was very nervous about transitioning my 2 & 4 yr old into a new school since they were so happy where they were, but the directors and teachers were extremely welcoming and patiently listened to my concerns. I quickly realized I made the right choice....my girls don't want to leave when I pick them up! The teachers are so patient and enthusiastic it's really so heartwarming to see...and the school does a really great job providing the kids with a wide variety of activities in addition to feeding them nutritious meals & snacks. They also provide a drop off & pick up bus service for when elementary school starts. I highly recommend them for child care....they really do care!! read more

My son has been attending Kinder Care since he was ten weeks old. He is now almost two and I am thrilled with the care he receives. There is minimal staff turnover and everyone seems genuinely caring about every child. He always seems happy and engaged when I pick him up and I know he gets read to daily which is obvious given his great vocabulary. I have a 3-1/2 year daughter who has attended this Kindercare for the past year, and a 16 month son who has been attending since 5 months old. My daughter adores all her teachers, who treat her like their own. She looks forward to going to school every day, particularly since the center has themed days. For over 5 years, our children have attended West Granite Bay KinderCare. When my first son was 6 mos. old we started him here and have never regretted it. The teachers are kind, warm, knowledgeable, and compassionate. The staff feels like family and I trust them completely. The phonics program is worth the extra $$. It helped prep my kindergartner for school and he is ahead of the curve. My kids love coming here and it gives me sound mind to know they are in good hands while I'm at work. I just wanted to share my experience with West Granite Bay location. I called and enroll my 7 month old son in Kinder Care. His first day was 1/23. I made sure that I went there and met the staff and turned in all my paperwork for my son to start on Monday 1/23. The first day I dropped off my son everything seemed fine. I have all my bottles premade and labeled and brought extra clothes, diapers, wipes, bibs and pacifier. This was my first time having my son be at a center and I wanted to make sure he had everything he needed. I dropped my son off on 1/23 at 6:30am. At 9:30am I got a missed call from the Center saying that I needed to call back it was about my son. My heart immediately sank and I felt like I was going to vomit. I called back all worried and the girl that answered let me know that I didn't fill out one of my papers. I was shocked! I let her know that I was in the week before and turned in all my paperwork for him to start and I even made sure with Sabrina (Manager) that everything was taken care of before he started. The girl on the phone said she would look, but just to be sure fill it out again when I come to pick up my son. I told her that I was at work and I would have been better to just let me know that sort of thing when I picked him up. She stated that she felt it was something I needed to know. Okay. Whatever. So I pick up my son and noticed he only drank four of the six bottles I made for him. I questioned and asked why I need to make the bottles everyday if some are just going to waste. They said its their policy. Okay. Whatever. I looked at the paper I supposedly didn't fill out and knew right away that I already did. I went back to the office and talk to the assistance. She chalked it up to oh no big deal...they have all the paperwork. I told her that I was really inconvenienced at work just to be told to fill out paperwork that I have already done. She apologized. Okay. Whatever. So the next day I drop off my son with all his necessities that the center makes your bring, extra clothes, bibs, premade bottles that are labeled and his sheet to start the day and drop him off. At 9am I get a call again. I think to myself, no way, they can't be calling me at work again. I ask my manager to be excused AGAIN and take the call. The person that called said I needed to pick up my son right away because he has diarrhea. I was shocked! Okay, I ask, does he have a fever? Is he throwing up? She replies no. I then ask then why do I need to pick him up. She tells me that it's their policy to have parents pick up their children if they have diarrhea. I disagree with the girl and she give the phone to I think Sabrina. I talked to her and say the paperwork that I signed says that if the child is sick and has diarrhea then they need to be picked up. I said he is 7 months old and is going to have irregular bowels. I asked did they change him with the new clothes and new diaper and she said yes, but he can't be there because 'It's their policy" So I leave work and call my husband because I am such in shock and disbelief that I would need to pick him up. I get there and question the policy again and ask why he would need to go home when they have children in their that have cough and running noses that look and act sick and my son just had a diaper that exploded. Sabrina then respond very smug like, "we don't have a policy against runny noses" I was so shocked to be told this. I got my son and said well I don't have another form of child care lined up for him so when can he come back. They told me in 24 hours. So, not only did I have to leave work for the day but I would have to miss another day of work. I called my son's doctor's office and asked if this was something to be concerned about. They said no, as long as he is having regular wet diapers then he is fine and that it is NORMAL for babies to have irregular bowels they are trying new veggies and fruits and that is just what happens. Well now here we are almost a week later and I have not received one email or phone call to ask where my son is or why he haven't been back or to even call me to see if I was picking up him personal items. That right there shows me that they never cared my son was in their care and I will never recommend anyone to their daycare. I hope that anyone that reads this knows the pain and shock I went through to hurry and find daycare for my son while still being able to work and not lose my job. I prepaid a month in advance and had to frantically find another place for him to go. To be so mistreated over the phone and in person I can't imagine and don't want to imagine how they treated my son in their care. read more

Upon first step into West Granite Bay KC, I could hear all the fun and love that was in this place and knew it was perfect for my little one. My son has been coming to this KC since he was 1 year old and he is now almost 3 and still having so much fun with all of his favorite teachers and staff! Every morning he can't wait to get dressed and march (yes march) right up to the doors in the morning to get his day started. It is no greater feeling to know how much love and care he receives from so many wonderful people at this KC while I am working. Miss. Valerie is one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet, and she treats all of her kids with so much love and dedication. Melissa and Serina as well as every single staff member genuinely cares about you and your little ones and are always ready to answer any questions you have. We just started taking our daughters (1 and 3) here a month ago after moving to the area. We were looking for a center where our girls could interact with other kids their age and be with teachers who could help them grow! We also needed a center that could be flexible with our schedule as my wife is medical professional, so her days off change each week and we only need daycare 2 to 3 days a week. Kindercare checked all of those boxes! They have been very flexible with us and after getting over being in a new place, our girls enjoy their time at school. The infant/tods teachers are especially great at providing feedback on my 1 year old (what she ate, naps, potty info etc)! My oldest daughter loves making crafts and painting pictures to show us. Pricing is also reasonable as compared to other centers in the area especially since they have pricing for 2, 3 and 5 days a week! The only reason it is a 4 star right now is we are still new...I will update my review after they have been attending longer and I am sure I will add an extra star! read more
