However they added in service which I did not want at an extra $300. They did not call me to confirm what should be done with it. They push maintenance" on youy rather than fix a specific problem. They wont call you you need to call them and CONFIRM what exactly they will fix.

If I could give less then I would . Bought a 1023e in 2012 . It's got a little over 600 hours on it…read more. Always taken care of . It first started giving us trouble a few years ago . It would randomly die and not start back for a few hours . After the tractor went back to Meade 3 times and 800 dollars later it was finally fixed . Next trouble we had was the deck lift arms , it kept breaking . I ordered it online and replaced it myself . It is fine now . The next problem was the boom mast broke , I ordered it and replaced it my self .this past December we took it in because the emergency brake would not hold .I took it in and went ahead and told them to clean the fuel lines and do an oil change while they fixed the parking brake . They had the tractor until the first few days of February . Got a call the tractor was ready to pick up and it would be 3,000 plus dollars . They said the brakes was wore out and they had replaced them . But the brakes were fine . The tractor would stop on a dime , but the parking brake was all that was wrong with it . So after coming home and mowing it was doing fine . Went to mow today and the parking brake came loose and started rolling down a hill and I had to catch it. I'm glad it was not my 76 year old grandfather on it or he could have got hurt pretty bad, due to the typical shoddy work from Meade. I might as well have threw that 3,000 dollars in the garbage . It would have went to a better place . So I was going to go to Meade and confront them about the issue , then decided not to , because I didn't want to have to take it back multiple times and have it be gone for months like the last time it had a problem So I decided to take the guards off and look at it myself . I did and what did I see , the parking brake linkage had not been touched . It still had dust on it . None of it had been adjusted or anything . And under closer inspection I found the problem . These so called "specialized mechanics" had it two months and didn't get it fixed , a machinist had the problem found in 15 minutes . I ordered the 30 dollar part and it's on the way . The aluminum latch that catches the the brake linkage was bent and sometimes it would catch and sometimes it wouldn't . I wish I would have don't this before I took it down there to that joke of a shop . I can say now I will never go back to Greeneville Meade , or any Meade , nor will I buy anything John Deere again . I'm glad I have saved a few friends from buying that garbage . I'm honestly thinking of selling the two John Deere tractors and the John Deere lawn mower I have and getting Kubota , Case , New holland or a Massey . Anything but John Deere . I used to always love John Deere since I was a little boy , and think it was the best of the best . Now I'm ashamed to even have that junk on my property . In the photos is the aluminum latch . You cannot see the bend in the photo. When I get the new latch that i ordered from green parts store , and take the old one back off I will show the bend in it . It is bend outwards away from the catch . There is also 1/16 or more side to side play in the brake pedal assembly .There is also a photo of the parking brake linkage that you can tell it has obviously not been touched . I will not be made a fool from Meade again .I wouldn't trust them to screw a light bulb in a socket.
