Including a good selection of Riffle, shotguns and pistols and ammunition. A lot of fishing gear, golf gear and any other kind of sporting goods you might want. I recently found them and visited for the first time, within a few minutes, someone asked me what I needed help with and then my first visit I had several different employees helped me in different areas of the store. It was a very refreshing experience compared to what most retail experiences look like nowadays. Prices seemed fair and competitive with a good selection.

I's almost a half hour drive so it was smart to call. Yes, they had one at a great price and was exactly what we we're looking for. Took a bit to get a salesman and a bit more for him to come and help but he got the info and checked stock. Took a couple of minutes but came back to inform us that none we're in stock. Told us we could purchase the floor model with an extra 10% off. Floor model had a pedal on the floor, stripped threads so it couldn't be used and (in addition) was broken. Didn't look like it was complete anyway and what was there was loose, poorly assembled and missing a few other items. Told us it was a discontinued model (always helpful to know) if we decided to order replacement parts for the missing and broken pieces. 10% additional off didn't do it. Not sure if it could be made serviceable again but far from any kind of deal. This is the kind of luck I've had with Sporting Super Stores. I'll pay the extra bucks and go somewhere a little more professional.

Having been long off the tee, I still can crank it out there and practices on the range have shown less carry of the ball. Gosh, I miss the days, not so long ago of 260-275 carries, but age checked in a bit so I wanted another driver option. I still feel lag in the S shafts so I bought another X stiff with 70 grams of weight which felt great, minus the over the hill Golf Pride Decade which had the nice black n while dual density grip. Snagged a Cleveland copper 60* for those fun but potentially dangerous flip shots and trickery shots around the greens that I love to play - the copper is soft when hit hard and no sun reflection when you open it up to flip a high soft one. Scored some udes golf balls that were in good shape - Bridgestone are my current crush - the tour ones, I forget the model B440 or something like that. I hitchhiked at age 20 with friends from San Francisco to Vancouver with a 70 lb backpack then took the Canadian National train ( now gone )via Jasper all the way to above Detroit. What is especially fabulous about REI's HUGE selection of products ( online) is the top TOP quality of new innovative materials, deep thought/care in manufacture by many of these once tiny companies, and outstanding long long wear and durability. Washing cleaning all these items is easy thanks to their excellent cleaning products. REI, a Co-operative, has not sacrificed resourcing the very best quality they can locate. They have not become a "mass marketer" like once excellent LL Bean. Instead REI relies very heavily upon their hundreds of consumer product reviews ( which I meticulously read before any purchase). REI genuinely LISTENS to their consumer base!! AND!!! Their online frequent sales, some short unexpected, are legendary! I did 70% of all my Xmas shopping at REI - - great stocking stuffers too. I became addicted to their 10 grams of protein ProBars 20 years ago- - a must have for all my trips. Enjoy!
