I have been going here for years and I cannot believe the lack of professionalism that was shown today. I went to get a UV gel fill and the lady who was doing my nails sliced my finger open. It bled actively for about 8-10 minutes and kept bleeding. The owner came over and held a paper towel on my finger and kept dabbing it. After a while she told me to come back another day so they could finish the job and I told them I could not as I don't live in the area and travel just to get my nails done there so I just asked them to just put the polish on my nails. I am not even blaming the woman who did my nails as I know it was an accident but to make someone pay full price after that experience is unbelievable. I will not be going back. read more

I've tried this place a few times now because their prices are very affordable but the dip powder cracks under the sealant within a few days of getting them done. Overall, I'd say the quality of the dip powder is poor and very brittle. The place is clean and the staff is very friendly. I'm not sure about other services they provide but I wouldn't get dip powder here again. read more

As the pandemic was ongoing and business as it was slowly opening I found this salon on Google and it was close to my boyfriends house. I made an appointment with them the exact same day I found them. Which was amazing. Once I arrived they took me right away. They checked my temperature and asked me to wash my hands immediately. She's super friendly and very professional and told me what was best for my nails which made my real nails really strong. I've been coming to this salon for years. The owner, Joanna, is very conscientious and always ensures that her customers are happy with their services. All of the manicurists are kind and skilled. Joanna offers many salon services, including waxing and chair massage. The salon is very clean and spacious. They continue to wear masks and use barriers, including plexiglass partitions and curtains. They also ask us to wash our hands after we walk in, which is great. All of the manicurists have given me terrific powder manicures and spa pedicures. I have never been disappointed...honest! And they are always patient with my prolonged decisions on what colors to pick. Joanna is very flexible with appointments. She always tries to accommodate me, especially if I have to reschedule. I highly recommend her salon to anyone who wants a calm, relaxing, and great experience; to truly feel pampered. Of note, a customer stated in her review that Joanna only accepts cash. I have been going to Joanna West Nyack since May 2020 . The salon was renovated in the summer or fall and it is absolutely beautiful with about seven pedicure chairs and new decorations in the salon. The team does a fantastic job with the gel manicures, powder gel and the pedicures which has a menu of about 30 different scent and experiences. I got my nails done twice at West Nyack Joanna Nail and I was disappointed both times. The first time Sandra did my nails. I paid $50.00 for ombré nails. My nails came out white. I told Sandra that I didn't like my nails, she just walked away. I figured that I could get my nails done by another nail technician the second time because this place has great reviews. Well, the second time, the technician didn't know how to shape my nails to the coffin shape. I filed and shaped my nails myself when I got home. I will not return. Went to my first appointment at West Nyack Joanna Nails today and it was a great experience. Maria did an excellent job with my dip powder nails. This is my third time getting dip powder and this is the best my nails have looked with them on. In the past my dip nails were not shiny or the top was bumpy, but Maria was very keen on making my nails look fantastic. I asked for a natural pink and Maria helped me pick out the best color for me! The only reason I am giving them a 4/5 is because they have the same filers for all the clients. I wish they would use new filers for each client. But my overall experience was great!
