We took a chance in a Delaware winery at the beach and REALLY LOVED IT! We're from VA so kind of spoiled. We had 2 flights and a charcuterie box. Both were quite nice! I preferred the drier wines and my friend enjoyed the sweet ones. Very pleasant atmosphere, good music, friendly people, and lovely grounds to picnic, too. I know people seem to like this place but I didn't . A wine tasting is $25 for four 2oz wines in plastic cups. You get to pick your wines and some were good enough but the slushies were too sweet to finish. The staff were helpful with suggestions and a slush sample. I noticed what people do is buy a bottle and drink that. That is more economical. There is light fare or a food truck but you can bring in food. Dogs can come to outdoor seating which is pleasant. read more

If you don't like flying do the wine tasting of 14 wines, you will be flying then lol, or just order a bottle and sit in the comfortable room or outside side and enjoy the scenery. This place is a grand time. What a great atmosphere and service that makes you feel as warm as the wine. Salted Vines has a great setup where you can do a tasting as well as get service by the bottle. The barn style architecture lends itself to the abundant farmlands you see in the area. They are very busy through the day. The tasting consists of a menu of wines and the pairings of dessert to accompany. They have delicious wine slushies, cheese-n-crackers. The atmosphere is fun but on a busy Memorial Day weekend the setup was confusing. We walked in to a huge line and no signage. We stopped to ask someone at the tasting counter who looked less busy where to start and he was less than customer friendly about being asked questions and downright RUDE. It almost made us just pack up and leave but our other friend said she's been before and liked the wine and had great service. The other employees were very nice and apologetic when we mentioned the experience. The outdoor space with music is lovely. We skipped doing a tasting due to the rude guy behind the counter and instead opted for some flights, eventually leading to bottles and a charcuterie board. People have bad days but maybe you shouldn't come to work in a customer service environment if you're having a bad day, take the day off or work elsewhere. It's not a great look for the brand as a whole and your face is now associated with this place. read more

Great vibes, ok wine! We visited Salted Vines on a Sunday afternoon and brought beach chairs, not knowing how much seating they would have. However, the (dog friendly!) patio was way larger than expected and we were able to snag a picnic table right away. Many of these were not in the shade, so I recommend arriving early to secure one with an umbrella! The ambiance was so pleasant and the live music was fantastic. We went up to order at the patio bar window, but were told they only serve flights at the indoor bar. My friends ended up getting wine slushies (way too sweet) while I went inside. The interior was empty but cute - a spacious bar, large chandelier, nice decor, etc. I ordered the dry flight, which included four wines - the Chardonnay, Viognier, Pinot Grigio, and Cabernet Sauvignon. I loved the presentation of the flight, but unfortunately none of the whites were chilled. The metal wine rack also heated up very quickly once I brought it outside. Overall, I can't say I loved any of the wines I tried. Salted Vines itself didn't serve food, but there was a First State Corn & More food truck on the premises. My friend and I shared an order of the Old Bay Wings, which were very tasty and came with a great dipping sauce. Overall, worth the visit for the ambiance alone! read more

We decided to try this winery yesterday since it was an overcast day here in Bethany. The outdoor seating area and inside the winery was very nice! They had ample about of seating and tables for you to choose from. We ended up ordering flights to try, which were $20 each. I had 2 rose wines, the Viognier, and a wine slushie. My fiancé had 3 different reds and a peach slushie. I liked the fishkillers rose and the Viognier wines in my flight. The "lower slower Delaware" rose and the wine slushie were extremely sweet and not drinkable in my opinion. My fiancé enjoyed his 3 reds, however thought his wine slushie was way too sweet as well. Overall we had a nice experience and would go back on another rainy day and stick with the wines that we know are decent. read more

Recently moved to the area and this was our first visit to Salted Vines. I found the place to have a fun but elegant atmosphere. Ordering was a little confusing to me but found it to be a good part of the atmosphere and a chance to meet more of the staff. Wines are good, something for everyone but a little pricey. Not even sure where to start. I've been in the restaurant service business for 22 years and I am just appalled that we spent $50 a ticket for murder mystery dinner that included food and then come to find out after we had all purchased wine, there was no food available. The ticket clearly stated a charcuterie board and the staff was completely dumbfounded. Our table pitched in and ordered pizza. (another $50.00)This was unacceptable and unprofessional and Salted Vines has lost a lot of members tonight. Each individual should be refunded for their $50 ticket due to the false advertising. And I highly suggest they hire an event manager to oversee that this does not happen to anyone again. Shame on you Salted Vines Vineyard & Winery. read more

My family and I had a great time at this gem when we visited Bethany Beach. The grounds are beautiful and it's the perfect space to enjoy a bottle of wine with friends and family. Also, they feature a different food truck each weekend which I think is an awesome way to support local businesses and allow patrons to try new food. When I visited, an Italian food truck was there and the paninis and Italian soda was really good. Not only did the vineyard have a food truck, there was live music and games as well! I recommend arriving early or bring lawn chairs because folks relax on the lawn. It's a really cute place for a date, girls night out or even a bridal shower. The staff was kind and knowledgeable about the wines. Try visiting during the week for a tour or you can opt for the tasting. The pricing is standard and reasonable. read more

The presentation of the wine flight was different than what I have seen before-very catchy. I was able to select four wines at my choosing for $15. Not a bad price. No description of the wines other than the sheet of paper I was given when I paid at the register. Since this was a flight, my wine was poured into four separate glasses into a chandelier type carrier. My daughter carried my wine outside to our table. It was a beautiful warm November day. An acoustic guitar singer was playing neatly in the corner. Excellent choice of music and sound. After my daughters and I finished our flights, we agreed to order a bottle of Chardonnay. Good choice. We also ordered crackers and cheese. We weren't overly impressed with the options of cheese and crackers. As another reviewer mentioned the crackers are Ritz crackers. I will make mention that our empty wine glasses were removed from our table promptly and continually. I would have given 5 stars if there had been a more personal touch such as going over the individual wines but I believe that was an actual wine tasting and cost more money. My first visit today and we enjoyed sitting outside listening to live acoustic music. We brought lawn chairs and sat outside on the nicely manicured grass. The outside has so much potential. Flowers around the outside patio and umbrellas would be really nice addition. The wine was okay certainly not the best the "Syrah" will do (Syrah another word for Shiraz). Extremely expensive at $9.00 a glass. On to the cheese plate for $9.00 we expected more from a vineyard. It was actually Ritz crackers and wheat thins with three grapes, and cheese (sage on some of the cheese, old bay on some, some smoked) that were sliced. OH MY OH MY. Improvements can easily be made : nuts, dried fruits, baguette, soft ripened cheese. The Cheese and fruit protein box sold at Starbucks is much cheaper than this cheese plate and 100% better tasting with aged cheeses , crackers, apples and grapes. Very chaotic in the pole bldg. and not explained well for a person visiting for the first time. Helpful information that we realized after being there for one hour: 1. You don't have to go back inside the pole bldg. to get wine there is a outside window that you can get wine from. This window is not marked well at all 2. After sitting outside we realized everyone had brought their own food obviously they have eaten here before. 3. If the winery is going to charge so much for their wine you expect to have nice food to be paired with the wine 4. Dog friendly . 5. The wine sampling for $14.00 you get a bag of pretzels We split a smoked brisket from the truck vendor and did not enjoy this brisket . We almost choked on the largely sliced meat. NO super tender pull apart with your fingers here. There's also a cute ice cream truck vendor on property which we did not try. Just like wine ages in time I look forward to seeing more of the Salty Vines Vineyard maturing in time. read more

Oh my G! This place is picture perfect for sampling wines indoor or outdoors. You will find a red or white wine you would like to take at least one bottle home. Prices are reasonable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Some nights there is musical entertainment. They even have seasonal wine slushies I highly recommend stopping in with friends. read more

Just a short trip from the Delaware Beaches and Ocean City, lies a hidden gem that should no longer be hidden to anyone (because it is AMAZING). If you enjoy wine and good times in a chill setting... THIS is the PLACE! They offer so many options! My husband enjoys sweet wines and I enjoy drier ones... no problem! They had enough and something for everyone. They even offer time-limited seasonal wines (like the Cranberry Wine for Valentine's season (which was out of this world GOOD).. and it was not too sweet or too dry - it literally works for everyone. They will also sometimes have food trucks (otherwise, they allow outside food, picnics in good weather, etc.) and always offer good live music... even a concert series in the Summer! Nestled in a large open field, off a country road, it seemingly appears out of nowhere; pulling into the winery, the space was gorgeous. They have lots of seating options, including: a large outdoor enclosed tent patio area, a nice front porch comfy couches area, and inside a large spacious tasting room. Since we had our pooch in tow, we had to sit outside, no worries the tent area was as inviting as the larger tasting room Bit sad they wouldn't let us split a tasting-so we opted for a $10 Wednesday Special Flight of four 2oz pours. I chose four whites, my hubby four reds. The pourer was very friendly, we chatted for a while about dogs, though I wish she provided more details about the wine and not herself to be honest. I love learning about wines, creations, names, labels, but she didn't have any answers. As for the wines, there was one or two decent wines, but overall, we didn't opt to go home with a bottle. Chardonnay: Had a light buttery quality Traminette: Quality flavor, bold elder flower (the best white I had in their flight) Reflections: Not a semi-dry, it was completely sweet on the tongue Riesling: I liked the flavor, it did not taste like a Rielsing-if you told me this was a Cauyuga or Traminette I would have believed it Blackwater: Not as smokey as advertised, but I did taste the kiss of oak, that is a well placed description Tribute: Water to wine in my mouth Cab Franc: No Pepper Pinot Noir: very very sweet It was a nice one-time pit stop, but I can't see myself going out of the way to stop again along the road trip-the individual glass of wine prices are high at $9 for 4-6oz pour per wine, bottles are reasonably priced at $15-25 read more

Such a lovely place to come over the weekend. This is near Bethany Beach, where my friend and I are staying, and on a not-so-warm day, it was the perfect reprieve. We first were seated at a high-top table outside but really felt the wind there, so we switched to the yard, which conveniently included drawn-on squares for social distancing purposes. There, we basked in the sun and listened to live music for several hours, along with both getting flights of wine (we loved the Traminette - and I'm not a white wine gal!) and sharing a brisket grilled cheese from the food truck parked nearby. Our family held a 35 person birthday celebration event at Salted Vines last night and SV was fantastic from start to finish. They communicated well beforehand, responding to numerous questions without delay. Very friendly and professional communication. They accommodated a handful of extra requests, including storing a cake, other small food items and some party supplies for half the day in their refrigerator and back room, providing their own knife for the cake, letting us in early to set up and letting us stay a tad late without any complaint. Preston and Cindy were the two event planning contacts, and they were very friendly, supportive and responsive. The grounds are beautiful and the facility is elegant, tastefully designed and modern. Everyone at the event really liked the space. Staff was very professional during the event and contributed significantly to the event going very well. This place is a gem it's located in a small town and you drive through a country road and pass some homes but once you get to the open field and see the vineyards ... excitement! It's beautiful on the outside with the greenery and quaint appearance. You'll see the taco truck to the left of the entrance that has AMAZING ahi tuna tacos loaded with tuna, cabbage and warm corn tortillas. The staff in the truck were super cool, easy to talk to and had great smiles. They take cash, debit and credit cards. When you enter the place it's a transformation. Hugely open with a big screen, leather sofa and fireplace, some standing bar tables to drink and converse and a delicious list of wines from the lightest to boldest. I wanted to try them all. The staff are excellent with recommendations and show a sincere interest in your enjoyment. They have a popular frozen wine refreshment I took advantage of because it was a warm day. Outside on the patio was a relaxed vibe and a soulful local musician with a smooth sultry voice Meredith Rounsley (grab her CD if you can. You'll love it!). Do not buy the tickets for the wine tasting. Biggest waste of money. We asked what something should be paired with and she said "I don't know what do you normally eat with juice". On top of that, the tasting should have lasted an hour and 45 minutes and we were in and out within 50 minutes. She was serving us a wine every 2 minutes and even said at one point "throw it back". I did not get to even remotely try to enjoy a single wine because I was rushed the whole time. It was an extreme rip off and the staff was also extremely rude when we were purchasing bottles of wine to drink outside. The only nice staff I met was one lady who had pink highlights who was very helpful and delightful ringing us up. Outside area was nice and had an good band and atmosphere.
