I later pulled up the practice on Yelp but didn't see many reviews. After asking around and hearing stories about different practices I decided to give Lemon a shot. I'm so happy I did! The practice is clean and beautiful. Everybody from the first phone call through walking out the door was very friendly. I was afraid of going somewhere and then wanting to over treat, or have an aggressive treatment plan. This was not that at all. They genuinely care. I'm actually looking forward to coming back in 6 months! The wonderful hygienist that I had said she commuted from Vancouver for 6 months just to work at this practice! That speaks volumes. Oh, & she let me choose a dab (on the paper bib) of essential oil to smell while be treated, nice touch!

I needed some work done badly with a tooth and I called the Black Lake office and they had a walk in appointment time the same day. I can't tell you how at ease Carla made me in prepping for the Dr. She was reassuring, and positive and upbeat the whole time, and that helped tremendously. She was very apologetic about the Dr. being late but I was in NO rush, to so it was all good. When Dr. Prince came in he also was very apologetic about running late but he was meeting with the boss so I completed understood. Dr. Prince basically picked up where Carla left off, he explained in depth what was going on with my tooth, what my options were, and what best case scenarios and worst case scenarios looked like. I explained to him my history of dental visits and he said he completely understood and had been doing this for years (like what since he was 12) he didn't look to be older than 27-28? The worst part for me has always been the injection in my mouth for numbing, he assured he "had this" and he was on point. I felt nothing. Everything and I mean everything from then on was basically worry free. Dr Prince even had jokes, at the end of the extraction he said "ok here come the hard part" I immediately tensed up until he said "we are done" I couldn't believe it, amazing. It takes a lot to impress this old man, but I was blown away by the ease of it all. Dr. Prince and Carla are my DYNAMIC DOU of Dentistry and I actually look forward to going back for the rest of the procedures and follow up. Then along comes Dr. Winter to blow all my expectations out of the water. He may be Hollywood-handsome, but he knows his dentistry!! When he started to hint that a root canal was needed, I completely shut him down. He didn't argue with me. That's how gentle he is. His assistant Trish waited until I was ready for more info and she educated me, then Dr. Winter confirmed why this was the optimal solution for my particular dental concerns. More info always helps me make decisions like this -- vs. info that is scattershot and untrustworthy online. Trish gave me all the factual info I was missing. And then the hygienist Addie blew my mind with all the info she provided on how I can avoid spending more $ than necessary on the periodontal cleanings I need 4x a year. She really listened to all my concerns, and while she had my complete attention (meaning I couldn't yak since she was working on my teeth) she "brain-dumped" all the info I told her I was craving. She knows how to tailor her message to her audience. All without missing a beat as she cleaned my teeth. Great multi-tasker! Incredibly, she managed to turn my few remaining uncrowned teeth to an ivory to match my other teeth. Gone is all the yellow -- in a single cleaning! Why haven't other hygienists in the past done this for me??? Maybe because they were trying to sell me on whitening treatments I wonder? I can't take the risk of bleaching my sensitive teeth, and Addie totally sympathized. She gave me a crash course in protecting my teeth going forward. And last but most emphatically not least, this clinic has the most impressive technological advances I've seen at previous dentist offices. You'd think all this state-of-the-art technology would cost up the ying-yang but they really aren't any more expensive than the other dentists' offices I've dealt with. This is my very first Yelp review, because it's the first time I felt compelled to broadcast how great these people are!

Billing errors are not the responsibility of the customer. I had a verbal agreement to the procedure and paid according to the insurance company. Prior approval from the insurance company was received and costs were clearly stated. I was fraudulently billed for "enhanced" teeth cleaning when in reality it was a standard teeth cleaning as I have gotten all of my life. I had to refer this matter to the Washington State Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau. Sound South Family Dental & Dentures refused to cooperate with the BBB. The accountant provided a false statement to the AG's office. Avoid trouble and stay away from this business.
