My wife searched and searched for a microendodontist. I won't go into details but the one she was referred to did not pass her standards. West Pines Endotontists came up in her search and we went to see them late in the day on Friday. Her dentist wanted her get the work done asap and a microendodontists does a root canal without having to remove the bridge she had done last year. We called at 2:30 and Reema said we could come over to get More information .We met Reema and Kamila at the front desk and they were very helpful. Both were very Knowledgable and patient with us. They answered every question and were very professional. This is a very serious matter if you to get a root canal. If you ignore it you risk serious consequences. The follow up appointment seemed designed to up-charge me by half again- Office staff blamed insurance...when I questioned the coding - not helpful office staff. Totally disappointed. BUT this was my second root canal at West Pines Endodontist with the wonderful Dr. T. He is such an incredible doctor and has a lot of compassion and cares for his patients. So, how did it go? Needed a root canal done and I was super nervous to have it done because I've been to places that made me feel like I was getting a car fixed instead of getting dental work done, so of course I was on edge. Let me start by saying that this will be the best decision you'll be making when choosing an endodontist specialist for your procedure. I had a crown done by my primary dentist a few months ago on tooth #19 which still had the nerve and I was told before the placing of the permanent crown that if I felt any pain I will most like need an RC treatment. I was thinking about my pocket at the time instead of the health of my tooth down the road, so fast forward to April I'm still with this prolonged pain and noticed that there was pus coming out. I knew right then and there that I would need an RC treatment so I went straight to my primary and they recommended this office to me. From the first visit to the last, I felt like I'd been going there for years. The ladies in the front make you feel welcomed the moment you come in and when you leave, they even call you the day after the procedure to make sure you're doing okay. The doctor and his assistant make sure you're alright throughout the whole procedure not to mention they make you feel at ease by offering to play a type of music you like. I never once felt like I was in pain, and Dr. Tim made sure I was numb enough so I wouldn't feel a thing. The doctor has worked wonders for me and I felt instant relief after the first half of the treatment was done, and now that my treatment is complete I can finally drink and eat without feeling the cold/hot sensation on that tooth that was uncomfortably painful. If you have anxiety don't go to this doctor. I had to argue with him for over an hour on why I needed to be sedated for a root canal. The procedure was fine after I was sedated. I was having more pain in the same area a month later. His demeanor and how he treated me was unprofessional. He gave me nothing for pain management and told me to see my regular dentist for a night guard. When I asked about insurance and root canal he blew me off and told me to talk to the girl upfront. He did not consult with her to tell her what tooth. When you call the phone just rings. When you leave a message nobody calls you back. It appears he is short staff. I ended up getting a second opinion from another Endodontist. I need one more root canal not 2 like he told me. I am thankful I found someone more professional, understanding and less expensive. When I was first informed by my dentist that I needed a root canal I went into full panic mode. She referred me to West Pines Endodontics. I had my initial consultation with Dr. Tim and my first impression was great. I first met Michele who greeted me very warmly and is so friendly that my worries began to fade. Best experience ever! First you walk in to a clean and friendly environment, and Vanessa smiling and welcoming you from behind the reception desk. I was so nervous about the root canal I needed done but they were so supportive and comforting, they were able to calm my nerves. Very unprofessional, lacks of empathy, and very disrespectful. A few years ago, I went to Dr Tim's office for him to take a look at a molar that was very sensitive. While he was checking it, he blew cold air on the molar and I jumped off the chair because of the pain and the discomfort. Dr Tim and his assistant started saying calm down (in a sarcastic way), there is no need to react like that. Then he told me I would definitely need a root canal. Obviously I freaked out and got super nervous, because I've never had any issues with a molar and I panicked. He started laughing and said: "if that would happen to me I would be freakin out and crying too because obviously the tooth dies". After that comment I felt even worse and was in tears at this point. The assistant was a total jerk too, she just starred at me and then looked back at him. I should have gotten up and leave but unfortunately I didn't. He ended up treating my molar and doing the root canal. It turns out that this month I went to my dentist for my annual check up, and unfortunately I need to get my molar retreated.
