Had 2 bathrooms done a few months ago. Paid a lot because they get in done in 2-3 days. they did a pretty good job for the most part. But a month after they finished, we painted the walls and discovered they used non-paintable caulk everywhere. as we've had time available, we've tried various methods to fix it. Paid all that money and it looks crappy because of the caulk. (Also several places where they installed baseboard and nails weren't all the way through. Speed of install was good. But ended up with a time consuming mess that still doesn't look finished. (Installed around Feb 2026 in Volant, PA) read more

We called to set up an appointment with a sales agent. Brian, who was the salesman was very polite and honest about everything that had to be done and would be done. I was shocked about the $30k price tag, be we were demolishing a bathroom from 1974. So gutted from top to bottom. In 2 weeks time a crew of 4 came knocking at 9am- Day 1... Ryland S.- Isaac S. - Mark M & Tyler J, were first on scene. ALL were very polite & informed us on every cut, move & slice they made. Basically, whole tub area demolished, and new shower installed and put in a new window done that day. Very respectful crew. Stayed here till after 5, and cleaned everything. Day 2- 9am Ryland & Isaac was accompanied by Justice M. New floor, vanity and touch ups... bathroom completed. New sink & vanity, toilet & floor. What they said would & should happen, did happen and we are very happy at the outcome. And trust me, a bathroom built in the 70's,your gonna run into some issues... but these guys did a very very good job and we are more than pleased. read more

It has locations in dozens of cities across the U.S. This particular location covers the Pittsburgh area. My husband and I wanted to replace our builder-grade bathtub in one bathroom and our shower in another bathroom. Months earlier, my husband's parents had hired West Shore Home to install a shower and a front door, and they felt happy with the service and products, so I contacted West Shore Home for an estimate. That same day, an employee visited our home to provide an in-person estimate. The employee spoke nicely to my husband and me. He spent about one hour doing measurements and discussing colors, patterns, accessories (e.g., faucets, grab bars, shelves, footrests, and doors), etcetera. The original price for both the bathtub and the shower was over $37,000, but after several discounts, the final price was about $26,000, which was slightly lower than what a competing business had quoted. My husband and I signed a contract for this work to be completed. Over the next few weeks, courteous employees called me to schedule the installations. On the morning of the first installation, an employee called off, so I had to reschedule for another day. Two polite employees installed the bathtub in several hours. I thought that they did a great job with installing this bathtub. I felt surprised to learn that the bathtub was the Jacuzzi brand. The salesperson said that West Shore Home uses a few brands. Days later, two different employees spent several hours installing the shower. Unfortunately, the employees incorrectly installed the faucet for the shower, so the left-sided sun was for cold water, and the right-sided snowflake was for hot water. Because I was not supposed to get the shower wet until the adhesive and caulk had dried, I did not immediately discover this mistake. I contacted the business, and days later, another employee spent about 10 minutes to fix the direction of the faucet. Unfortunately, the shower faucet had another problem: It leaked and left wet water stains in the kitchen ceiling under the bathroom. I contacted West Shore Home to inquire about a solution. Days later, another employee came out to seal the faucet so that it no longer leaked. Overall, my husband and I think that the bathtub and shower were a bit expensive, but we do enjoy their appearance. I expect this acrylic bathtub and shower to be easy to clean with a soft cloth and a gentle cleaner (West Shore Home recommends Scrub Free, Fantastik, 409, Glass Plus, non-ammonia Windex, vinegar-water, and Kaboom!). They were detail oriented, always kept us updated on the project progress, and took care of any questions or concerns we had right away, which made us feel worry free. I'm torn about the business. The gentleman giving the quote and going over everything was great. He was at our home for a solid two hours to make sure what we wanted and explained exactly what would be done. It only took about 2-3 weeks from that date until installation. They arrived on time as planned and completed the project that day, as originally stated. Everything came out looking great. The next day, we noticed they missed some caulking and the doors didn't close all the way shut. They sent another worker out the next week to take a look. The first installers missed part of the caulking, so we had to wait another 24 hours to use our only shower. They also put the sliding glass doors in wrong. It took the one worker another 2 hours to fix those mistakes. As I was going around the house, I noticed they did not clean up after themselves. In the basement, they had to turn our water off and back on again. They somehow left it drip and was leaking on the wall, onto the floor. Luckily I saw it and took care of it right away before anything was ruined or moldy. They also had to get into the ceiling to access another pipe. I noticed a piece of insulation and lots of debris on the floor and over some of our belongings in the garage. There was cement pieces from the tear down in the bathroom I kept finding everywhere. Around the toilet, on the floor, by the cupboards, ect. We are happy overall with how the new shower looks and works but the process, mess, and extra cleanup was a hastle read more

So first I'll start by saying our salesman Ben was very kind, respectful, asked about taking his shoes off when entering my home. Super nice guy & this complaint is not about him. He worked with us on price and getting us to where we were somewhat comfortable on price. My complaint is 100% based on the work we had done & how it was rushed, left unfinished & just done with little to no care. First of all, we were under the impression that our old flooring was coming up to lay down new flooring, as it was clearly cracked and falling apart. We were told it wasn't in our contract (which we had no idea it wasn't because we thought it was obvious that it had to come up) so the first day of having our work done they say it's not in our contract but they'll have to do it because it needs done. Ok cool, next day they come (an hour and a half late) and a supervisor tells me that it's not in our contract so they're not gonna do it they're just going to fix it and lay on top of it. We told them we were not ok with that since we're already paying $17,000 we wanted it done correctly, eventually after some back-and-forth, they agreed. So they took our closet doors off to do the flooring, but they did not put them back on upon "finishing" the job. So first thing we had to do upon seeing our $17,000 bathroom was put it back together..alright fine no big deal, we do it and move on. Upon inspecting our shower the fixtures are 2 different colors, the faucet & shower head are a different color than our grab bar and shelves. Alright. Noted. They also forgot to put the water cap on, so there was just a hole in our tub. Turn on the sink which was also moved upon doing the floor & our hot and cold is switched. Next morning my 9 month old daughter is in the bathroom with me as I do my morning stuff & find she has the bolt cap from the toilet in her mouth because it was not properly secured on the toilet as it should've been. Yum. So upon letting our sales men know about all of these issues.. we had someone sent to our house four days later, we thought to correct all of these errors.. He arrived (also late) (but very very nice guy) and informed me he's only there to put on the cap on the tub he's just a plumber and doesn't deal with the cosmetics. He comes out and tells me numerous other things that they did not do that he was gonna correct. I was not surprised, but I was grateful that he was going to fix it. All of these issues after paying $17,000 to have a job done that would've cost around $5-10,000 from a private contractor. We went with this company because we wanted it done correctly and in a timely fashion, and we didn't get any of that. It was done very quickly, but also not correct and now it's very drug out. My advice is don't go with this company and find a private contractor that will get the job done correctly even if it takes a little bit more time. Lesson learned here we will absolutely not be a returning customer and will make sure any of our friends and family know this is not the company to go with. read more

I would give no stars if it were possible. Overpriced. Don't waste your time. The price in the ads is of course the minimum price for the smallest and most basic option. You'd literally have to have the exact set up already with them just placing the panels on top and nothing else. And they show you the more expensive ones in the ads while giving their lower prices. Once they get to your home and measure and you talk to them you realize it's better to go the handyman route because they tell you they have to do all this work underneath to bring your current walk in shower up to code. Said the drain needed to be moved and the floor rebuilt etc then added that the whole plumbing setup needed to be replaced from the hookup under the wall on out. Which is nonsense for a 2017 house. I can't imagine that my whole neighborhood of similar built homes by one builder all need to be "brought up to code." I should also mention there's no way after all they said they "needed to do" it could happen in 1 day. I'm positive it would take them 2 weeks and my bathroom would still have only been half way renovated for the price of a new Kia. read more

The "lifetime warranty" is just for materials, not labor. That means that if the adhesive that holds the shelves on starts cracking and disintegrating after only three years, you'll still have to pay for it to be fixed. read more

I was very disappointed with the final product considering the cost West Shore Home charged. The quality of work could have been better. Had a follow-up to replace the header due to the original header incurred damage during the install. When cutting out the drywall, uneven cuts, thus when the caulking was done, it let a mess. I eventually repaired and re-caulk the edges myself, instead of having them come back out. When I take showers, I have to use a towel to dry up water from the floor, due to the shower doors being uneven and not staying closed. Lesson learned, I should have done my homework, come to this website instead of listening to TV commercials. read more

We were so un.secure with the tub that We were just waiting g for it to fall in. I had tripped and fell getting I twice and hit my kneecaps. My husband has had a stroke and getting into the tub was a big challenge. Sam and Cisco were the best. If we had any questions they answer them. I had to say I maybe would recommend this company because the products they use seem to be of a higher quality than other products I've looked at. The saleswoman who came to our home was very well versed with her presentation however the presentation went down hill when I was presented with a $20,000.00 estimate to replace the existing walk in shower. The bathroom had previously been renovated however the shower installed by Luxury Bath now Petite Kitchen & bath looked terrible. It wasn't installed properly be Petite in the first place and the material used was cheap looking. After the saleswoman Gid her presentation and gave us the $20,000.00 estimate she must have observed the shock in our faces and began finding savings to bring the price to $18.000.00. Well we were told originally and saw advertisements on our local tv station 48 months interest free and 50% off installation. Our estimate wasn't broken down in materials and labor it was just the total dollar amount less the veteran discount and the sign today discount to equal the 18K estimate. My wife and I thought about it and with th 48 month financing and the discounts we went ahead and signed for the job. We later that evening we're going Facebook seeing a lady was given a estimate for just a shower replacement as well and given an estimate for $11,000.00 estimate. We contacted that lady from Facebook to find out she was having the exact same thing done as we wanted. Her estimate was $7,000.00 cheaper! We contacted West Shore immediately later in the day cancelling that estimate and job. We also thought we'd just be fair and contact another bath remodeler for an estimate. They came to our home and measured then presented us to just replace the shower as we wanted at $8,100.00. I will wait to review that second company after they complete the job of replacing our shower. It's a shame, I was impressed with the saleswoman from West Shore as she was thorough and knowledgeable but with the wrong company. I finally received cancellation notice today 9-16-2023. read more

Do your research before using this company. Get multiple quotes. Once you sign a contract with west shore, you can forget getting them to be responsive and call back. They just want your money. My husband and I need a new front door that includes sidelights. West Shore is charging 12k while Pella is charging 8k for the EXACT same door from the same company. The same warranties and installation for thousands more. They are scammers. They want to charge us 4k for getting out of contract with them. I can't rate them on service, because they canceled our initial consult an hour beforehand. I was impressed, yesterday, by their very rapid response to my online consult request (they called me within 15 mins! And had several openings for the following day), but at 8:57am they canceled my 10am, today, because they assumed this was commercial property. It is not. I replied to the cancellation text message to explain this, that the building was a business before we purchased it and moved in, but it's now my permanent residence. The person replied that he'd have to discuss with his manager and asked if it would be ok to call back in 10 minutes. That was 70 minutes ago. Disgrace of a company is an understatement. Worth the read. We were originally quoted $24,000 for JUST A SHOWER!!! We were able to talk them down to $16,800. Once again, just for a shower, not the whole bathroom. We figured, if we do it, might as well do it right and pay for the professionals seeing their pictures of their work online. A quoted "one day installation" turned into months of an unfinished shower and many days of it being non functional. (we both took off work day of installation because we were excited to see it) After a full work day on day of installation, they said they'd be back the next day because they "didn't feel like staying late to finish today." Plumber was scheduled to come at 9am the next day after they said they couldn't finish. My boyfriend ended up being late for work waiting on them to show at 9. At 9:32am I called and asked where they were to get the response of "I will get back to you within the next 24 hours". Mind you- this was the plumber to do the pipes/ drain so at this point we wont be able to use the shower even after the 24 hours needed for everything to set. So I left for work and my boyfriend ended up being late for work waiting on them. The next day (Sunday) rolls around and still NO call back. Late that night, Matt (general manager) calls us directly and we demand someone comes out Monday morning. (Also 2 days missed work for my boyfriend, one full day/ half day for me). We are now 3 days with no shower. They finish the drain finally but day of installation they cut the hole for the exhaust fan way too big so there was a hole allowing moisture to enter and create mold. Because it's a lifetime warranty covering mold as well, they (and we) wanted it fixed. Also day of installation they screwed up the drain and left water damage everywhere which needed replaced then. So they fixed everything but water damage on Monday. They came back out AGAIN Thursday (boyfriend took another half day off work) to fix damage. At this point we are now 6 days with an uncompleted shower spending almost $17k. We got it done March 24th, 2023. Today is June 18th, 2023. In less the 86 days, we have rust, silicone deteriorating and falling off, handles falling off and loose uneven glass doors still (since day of installation), water sits on the floor since not leveled correctly, and so much more. I've called back to get it fixed (they said since lifetime warranty for even the smallest problem they'd send workers out to fix any issue that's covered- all of these problems we have are covered) and have had no one out to fix it, no call backs etc. This is hands down the most inadequate, dishonest, disrespectful, outrageously expensive, and incompetent company I have ever come across in my life. I am not one to complain ever about customer service but by far, this company should never be allowed to step foot in someone's house. West Shore Review 14 Aug Install begins, wrong floor size for base panel but team was able to adjust the contract and find the right size base. Demolition went well team very polite. Issue came up when they went to install our Glass Doors for the shower. Factory defect had only one hole in the glass for the bars that needed 2 holes. Team had to put it in as a work order and would drill hole in shop. Did not know at this time that they had broke one of the doors packing it back up until we found some tempered glass shards in our driveway. Install team said I would get a phone call in 1 or 2 days. 18 Aug I called and had to leave a voice message to get a status as no one ever called. 29 Aug repair person came out, but only had glass doors, none of the rails were put up for the door. Again, they left said customer service would call me in a "day or two". 30 Aug, I called towards endo f day as no one called me, and found out doors where ordered. I told customer service I am very unhappy with this, she said she would pass my complaint on to a manager however none will be available as they are away for a conference. 5 Sept I called towards end of day and talked with Customer service (same person) she told me my doors where in, and she would meet with mangers on morning of 6 Sept to expedite the installing of my shower doors, instead of putting me out another week. 6 Sept Customer Service called and set me up for the installation for that day and they did come out and complete it. Summary: I found the 1-day shower installation was very expensive but we wanted this done in a day. If I had known it was going to take a month I would have gone with other vendors and easily saved myself about 50% (about $6,000). Managers never did call, nor did anyone else until I elevated the issue. Installers were very professional; work quality is excellent. Would I use them again... very doubtful. read more

He started talking price with his little laptop and notepad, and then decided once we declined or told him we'd get back to them to be polite he knocked $500 off the price if we paid today in cash or signed the papers. Remember Plywood should never be used as a backing, ceiling, or underlayment for any shower or tub installation. Westshore uses plywood almost exclusively as a backing to their shower and tub installations. Moisture Barrier Backerboard or Wonderboard should be used. This prevents mold mildew and does not exoand like plywood does when exposed to moisture or water. read more

The workers do a great job with the bathroom remodel. They are very customer conscious. The company itself is the worst communicator and from the slick salesman to the final inspection, they could care less about their customers. The money is all they want and the only reason they survive is because of the workers they have. I sure hope the workers are paid well. If you are considering a bathroom - go with somebody else. This company is not worth the money even though they say it's a lifetime guarantee. My guess is that if something does go wrong - you will never be able to reach them and get someone to do any kind of follow up! BBB shares every single complaint about them. read more

This review is only for sales pitch and pricing. We did not agree to their much overpriced quote/quotes. My salesman was very good at his job and well versed in his pitch. After 2 hours, he quoted me over $16K for a new bathtub and surrounding walls. Seriously??!! The entire pitch was reminiscent of being at a car dealership. 'Let me call my manager and see if he can approve a better price.' omgosh. He came back with $12K 'if I signed today'. I said no thanks. A few days later someone called from West Shore asking if a manager could come out and talk 'better price'. What a flip flopping joke! Plus when I was shown a sample board, their virgin acrylic is so thin. It's all about the sales pitch. Don't do it! UPDATED: After this fiasco and placing this review online around my frustrations with this bath tub replacement process, I was contacted by the Director of Customer Service for West Shore. The Director of Customer Service actually took time to discuss the issues that happened and work out an amicable agreement to help rectify the situation. Out of everyone I came in contact with at West Shore, he was the sincerest and genuinely seemed like he cared about the issues that arose with the interactions I had with West Shore. For this I wanted to update my review (third star) to say that this company did show compassion and cared about how their business ended with me. In the end there is no replacing the anger, pain and frustration I had, but they made an effort to make things right. For this we can part ways amicably with no hard feelings. Thank you for the effort. My entire West Shore (WS) experience. WS came to do a quote on my bathroom because I needed a tub replaced. They came & did their assessment (among others), & the final price to replace the tub/walls was $9,000. Even though I'm saving for a wedding next year, I went with WS because of their alleged work ethic & high ratings online. First issue was the salesman stated they ONLY do Saturday installs and most take 1 day. This worked out because we work during the week. After about 2 weeks they called to schedule my install for a Tues.(1st Red Flag). I stated my salesman told me that WS only does Sat. installs. He said he would call me back, & after 2 days returned my call with a Sat. install date. Install day: the workers show up on time, & they were kind & courteous to our home. I have a curved ceiling in my bathroom & the shower rod needed a special angled piece to be installed correctly. Even though the salesman took pictures of this piece, & the ceiling itself, no one looked at this before coming to do our install (2nd Red Flag). The installer was on the phone with his boss on & off, & their solution would be they would come up with "something". Half way through the day, they informed me that they would not be able to finish the install that day due to the extra labor of removing hidden tile. Because they do not work on Sun., they would be back Mon. morning. Now no bathing till Tues. I called off work Mon., & they came to finish the job. One of the installers was the same, & I asked again about my shower curtain rod. He had no answer for me except they were still looking into a solution (3rd Red Flag). I took matters into my own hands & started my search online. I ordered a piece spending MORE, because they didn't do their homework. Then the installers cracked a tile on my bathroom floor. He stated they have a "tile guy" that will come out & replace the tile. The installer said I should hear back within a week. My check was cashed within 2 days. A week passed with no word so I called into WS. No work order was put in for my unfinished job. I said I found the solution for the rod, I just need someone to come install it for me. The lady stated she could probably get me in in about a MONTH. It didn't take WS a month to cash my check for an unfinished project. The installer took some pictures, but apparently they were nowhere to be found so I was instructed to send more (4th Red Flag). I sent the pictures, & she stated that I would get a phone call FIRST THING in the morning. Morning comes & NO phone call. Another broken promise from WS. I call back & apparently my job was put into the system as completed, no notes where reviewed (5th Red Flag). She stated that they got my picture of my tile, & since it was not directly underneath my tub they are NOT responsible for the tile, & offered me $150 compensation. Really? A manager then took my call and since the installer told me that they would take care of it, then they would honor it. He also put in his notes from my job that this work needed done, but no one reviewed or looked at that either. She said that they do not have an actual tile guy, but they would try & fix it. Another thing told to me that just wasn't true. They sent a manager to my house the following week. He installs the shower curtain rod and replaces my tile, with the pieces that I found and purchased. He actually asked me where I found it, & that they run into this issue all the time. If you run into this issue all the time, why haven't you internally solved this puzzle? My rating: Staff I had to deal with was always courteous to me (1st star), & the final finished product looks good (2nd star). At first I was really confident after making my decision to go with West Shore, even though their quote was higher than others I got. After this whole process, I'm not sure I would have made the same decision. I felt lied to, told only what I wanted to hear, & got a lot of run-a-arounds. A reasonable person would believe they would have that information for the customer readily available so your or their time is not wasted The reps portray it is secret, privileged information and they are not trained or authorized to give facts from previous jobs the company has performed. RED FLAG #2 PRICE Miraculously their door and installation is far better than all their competitors. This is why you should over pay and be taken advantage of with your hard earned money. I am sick of their advertising about not have any more mold if you let them install a shower. I have ugly black mold all along the bottom of my shower, on all the grouting. I read on NextDoor that quite many people have mold like this after getting showers from West Shore. And they actually advertise that their will be no more mold after their showers are installed. read more

Let me start out by saying this review is not so much about the work, but what I discovered afterward. I had my tile shower removed and replaced. I am very pleased with the work and the shower is beautiful. I received three quotes from three different companies and decided to go with West Shore because of the quality of the material and the style/selection. It took the installers about a day and a half to complete due to having to remove extra tile. With the above being said, my problem was with something I discovered after installation. I discovered that some medication that I kept in my home for my mother when she visits had disappeared. I kept it on the top shelf of the linen closet which is in the bathroom itself. When I went to retrieve it to take it to her (she was running low), the bottle it was in was empty, knocked over and pushed to the back of the shelf. I am not accusing anyone at West Shore of anything and I will never know for sure what happened to the medication. It was just odd that this occurred when I live alone and no one else had been in my bathroom except me after the fact. I tried calling the salesman several times to discuss this situation with him, but never received a call back. The only reason I contacted West Shore is because of holiday special they are running on TV. WPXI . The commercial states that the special includes free labor for installation. Also stating that price was good for one year. Well to shorten this story I was given a better today price which was much better than the one year price. I fell for it and signed for a shower remodel for $8200. After sleeping on it I thought how could the materials for this job possibly cost $8200. Total BS. I cancelled on the 3 day cancellation law. Nothing wrong with my shower. Looks like new. I just need a seat for safety when washIng feet. So I figured out another option. Will cost me $49.
