Ok will try to do this review justice. Our daughter and her husband were looking to buy their first home and we thought it was crucial to find the right agent and word of mouth is my usual approach to finding someone for something as important as this. We have friends we can trust and while we have many acquaintances that were real estate agents we wanted the best. Let's just say we owe our friends a very nice dinner for the great suggestion to use Donna. Donna Di Maria-Carleo to be exact. I knew a little about real estate from dabbling 30 or so years ago but just enough to be dangerous. So glad Donna was there for us to guide us thru every step of what was a very detailed process. She was steps ahead of everything. For our daughter and her husband as first time buyers it was an eye opening experience. Donna was a professional tiger representing her clients and gets her hands dirty along the way getting involved with the home inspections and making sure the sellers were providing a home warranty plan. She ran interference with our lender, escrow and sellers agent and led and drove the process the entire way. We had a bump in the road when the sellers made a poor selection of escrow company (40 miles away instead of local) and it turned out to be a big mistake putting our Ernest money in limbo. This required an opening of a new escrow and more Ernest money on our part. Donna made sure the sellers ponied up $5k plus $2500 from selling agent as well as $2500 from her commission (wish she hadn't done that last part). Donna knows what she is doing and has assured me my other Ernest money will come back in 3-6 months (that's fine). After we started moving our daughter and husband in many yard tools were left behind which I thought was a nice gesture on the part of the sellers only to find out Donna paid them to leave them‍ behind!Another wonderful gesture from a caring professional agent who knows how to treat her client.
