Derek and Mia are phenomenal! They made the extremely daunting process of buying a home (especially as a first-time home buyer) as smooth and easy as possible. We started the process with them in mid-March and closed at the end of April. We only looked at houses for 2 weeks and got our first offer accepted! This is unheard of in the crazy market right now and a few key traits below are what we think made it all possible. They are incredible resources, and we would recommend them to everyone in a heartbeat! 1. Great with communication! They are very responsive with emails, text messages, and phone calls. Derek and Mia are also very personable and relatable which made it feel like they were in the journey with us. They are both very open and honest and would give their honest feedback on the house's conditions, price, and what it had to offer. They were extremely knowledgeable about the South Bay market since they are both South Bay natives and know the area very well. They were very good with guiding us on if the house was a smart and reasonable deal. 2. Amazing listeners. This goes hand-in-hand with their great communication. Derek and Mia always remembered our criteria for the home we wanted and made sure to remind us here and there as it's easy to lose sight of the original criteria when going to so many open houses. Seeing so many houses back-to-back, they all seemed to blend in together and we needed a few reminders to regain our focus or open the dialogue to revise our criteria as we may have not realized we wanted something different initially. 3. Derek and Mia are extremely proactive! They were always in constant communication with the selling agent to get as much intel of the competition which allowed us to make tangible decisions on how to make our offer more appealing and competitive. We were fortunate enough to not have to blindly write an offer with a blanket "give me your best offer" due to their hard work.
