This company is what wrong with the housing market and what will cause the next house crisis, they are bullies. I'm 37 years old. In almost 20 years of renting in LA, I've never been asked for tax returns -- not even when I bought a property. This is ridiculous. Extremely rude, invasive, and discriminatory. They're clearly looking for any reason to reject people. Complete waste of time. Stay away.

After checking their webiste and learning of the company history and their insurance coverage, I called and spoke with Sullivan Garret. Sullivan answered all of my questions and gave me a summary of the company and that is was a family run business that enjoyed the work they did.. He was also the only one to explain the Franchise Tax Board withholding for rental property sales that two other agents failed to mention. He's very personable, easy to speak with and has a great radio voice. The company has a 2 story office building on the corner of Venice and Cardiff making it easily accessible for my parents. It's located near Old Town Culver City. It's local to the Palms, Beverlywood area. As soon as my parents signed the offer on the property, our Redfin Agent emailed Sullivan with all the necessary documents on Christmas Eve. From opening escrow, to signing documents and the wire transfers, everything went smoothly. Sullivan always took the time to answer any questions and explain all costs related to the escrow funds. I never had to leave a voicemail. He communicated via phone and email in a very timely fashion. I couln't have asked for a better escrow experience. As a result, we had gnats flying all over our apartment. Disgusting! But that's not the worst thing, we had to sleep in our living rooms from our bedroom being flooded...and they still wanted that months rent, which was over $1800. When we asked to speak directly with the landlord, they said just kept saying that he was unavailable. I feel like this company protects slumlords. You will be reported to the BBB.
