I was at a local nail salon when an employee there noticed I had a flat tire. I thought, "Shoot, when did that happen? Must've been something my elderly mom did the day before." I was nervous because we recently replaced AAA membership with AARP Roadside Assistance from Allstate (much lower rates) and hadn't used the AARP service yet, so no clue what to expect. Everything went smoothly. West Towing showed up within the estimated time promised, 40 minutes or less, and Phil was very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. I had a spare in the trunk, so Phil put that on the car and took the flat tire and put it back in the trunk where the spare had been. He also checked the tire pressure to make sure the spare had the proper air in it. Also, I was now paranoid about another tire that looked low to me, so Phil checked the pressure on it and assured me it was fine. He also told me the flat was likely caused by a screw and that I should be able to have it easily repaired. I was on my way to another errand in no time. So glad that I received excellent service via roadside assistance, which doesn't always happen. read more

The guys who came out to tow were awesome they did a great job but the dispatch lady was very rude.I told her what i was told by another towing company that they would need to bring lift to move the tesla since the wheel was off and the car wouldnt move and needed to be picked.she was telling me it doesnt work that way.... Who can say that they've had a great roadside service experience? Not many. My tire blew on the 15 freeway. Fortunately, my roadside service uses West Towing as a provider. Within 30 min, Rod came out to put on my spare but through no fault of his own and due to shoddy work at the dealership when they replaced the tire a week ago. (they cross threaded 3 of 5 lug-nuts) He was unable to get the tire off safe enough for me to drive. My car needed to be towed home. Within another 30 min, Steve (owner/operator) came to pick me up. They were both So nice and friendly. I felt completely comfortable with both of these gentleman. Steve dropped my car at a local tire place and even took me to a restaurant for a cocktail where I waited for my husband to pick me up. Once when I got stuck at Menifee, and another time when I was stuck at Homeland, and the lady on the phone is very nice & tells you approximately how long it will take the driver to get there & both times they arrived within half an hour, and she tells you how much it will cost. The service was awesome. I had a terribly long phone wait for AAA, later followed by an AAA callback estimating additional 90 min. It was nighttime and I was bummed then suddenly a call from the West Tow dispatcher asking if I'm there with the vehicle...I say yes and she says I'm sending someone right now. The driver shows up just as she said, and he's great--professional and friendly. The tow destination was my property, tricky for a large tow truck, but he was able to maneuver that large truck around and leave my pickup PRECISELY where it needed to rest. I've had to have my vehicle towed a handful of times and it's usually always been a headache, but I would have to say the person that picked my car up today was truly a remarkable guy. Usually when you call a tow truck you're already in distress, and lucky for me I got the opportunity to be picked up by Glenn. He took extra care of my car when loading & unloading it & he took his time checking everything. So often people rush things to get going, but not him. He told me he treats every car as if it were his own. On top of it he's also a firefighter. So on the way to my destination he shared some really cool stories with me, and he's apparently only been a tow truck driver for a few months! I would've never guessed with the courtesy, kindness, and professionalism this man took with me. This company truly has a one of kind human being. My tire had pretty much ripped while I was driving and through the roadside assistance dispatch through my car insurance, I was put into contact with West Towing to help me out. Jen was extremely helpful, friendly, and polite throughout the whole thing, I could not be more grateful. Even if I received text message updates (which were really accurate, timewise, I might add), Jen still called me to ensure I received every update while I waited for a tow truck to arrive. Jen explained my options very thoroughly and even gave me time to figure out what I wanted to do. She was not pushy or rude, she was very patient. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the name of the driver who came by to help me out, but I wanted to say that he was also extremely patient and nice to me. He arrived right on time Jen said he would, he was very professional and polite. Overall experience with company was good dispatcher and tow truck driver very nice and profesional. I would use this company again just wish they stuck to there word. This review goes out to the guy behind the radio up charging me because your tow trucks didn't have the proper equipment to do the job efficiently. I had previously told them the situation they gave me a price then bumped it up on me once the driver was there and working on the car (shady) I was already paying a large amount to get towed less the 1 block and because the driver had to do more work to get my car on the truck do to lack of proper equipment I had to pay. My recommendation is to get them to lock a rate in. which will be hard based on all situations are different but maybe the company can honor there word and keep providing good service. P.S every tow truck should have a set of skates on them it's standard equipment. read more
