Dr. Osborne is extremely nice and caring. The office is in shambles. I have been waiting 4 weeks to get a call back from the surgery scheduler and office manager. I was able to see another dr and get scheduled for a surgery before I received a call back from this office! I was all set to have dr osborne do the surgery but I wasn't able to get a hold of anyone in the office! The only people that answer are appt scheduling and billing...go figure. Stay far away from this terrible office. read more

My daughter was plagued with sinus infections from birth to age six. We went so many doctors and she lived on medication for allergies and antibiotics for the infections. My brother recommended that we see Dr. Rizzo. He recommended surgery to correct my daughter's misshaped nasal passages. Our insurance would only pay for part of the surgery but Dr. Rizzo assures us that he would do whatever he needed to do to correct the issue and ensure that she would not need additional surgeries down the road. This surgery was a life changer for my daughter! She has been sinus infection free in the 2 years since the surgery and is thriving! She is no longer on any medication. Dr. Rizzo is the reason. If I could leave zero stars or negative stars even for the matter I would. Avoid this place like the plague. Dr. Osborn is amazing if and when you can get in to be seen by him. The front office and billIng are a disaster!!! The phone are never turned on and you can never get thru. The office/practice recently split from west valley ENT and has become Oasis ENT and the experience has become even worse than it was prior. Numerous times I have shown up for an appointment I have had to wait months for to be told "I was called to be rescheduled" never have I received a call to be rescheduled. At least 3 times I have shown up for my appointment to be told the doctor was in surgery, wasn't available, or my appointment had been moved. I drive over 30 minutes to be seen. Numerous times I have been told a prescription would be called in to have to call the office for follow up days later because it had never been sent. It's my son 2 yo and I were patients and have had horrific experiences. Don't get me started on billing. In the year I have been a patient they have changed their billing company at least 3 times. Several times I had been over charged or charged for services I have never received. Even trying to pay the bill is a nightmare I had called several times and it took over a month for my call to be returned to make a payment. Even trying to email someone to pay a bill has been a disaster. Once I got someone on the line they had me try to email them and once again this error occurred. Fast forward I requested medical records to be released myself as well as new ENT Dr. Ravi Agarwal office over 2 months and they still had not released MY records. It lIterally took me being in person to get it done. I had gone for over a year every week to get my immunotherapy (allergy) shot and would have to wait 20 minutes each time in the waiting room sometimes longer because I hadn't even been checked in. When I asked to have DR Osborn contact me there was no follow thru. So sad! As a nurse I gave them the benefit of the doubt and truly tried to be patient with this office and the staff. Dr. Smedley is great and did a great job with my son's surgery. The office on the other hand needs to get things together. We waited for over an hour and a half to be seen for our first appointment and spent less than five minutes with the doctor. i specifically made an appointment first thing in the morning for the follow up in order to avoid them being late yet I still had to wait almost an hour again to be seen. read more

Horrible service. Staff doesn't follow through and never calls you back. The Doctor is a good doctor but his staff is horrible.

Staff seems nice but getting in at our scheduled time, not even close. An hour to get called to the back office and another hour to be seen by a doctor. No respecter of their patients' time. Dr.Osbourne is great. But if you need an allergy shot they are extremely slow. Our daughters have been getting shots for over a year and we stopped coming in because of the long waits. Supposed computer technical difficulties today. Come on now. No one was in the waiting room and here we are at 45 minutes and still waiting. No one has come out of the allergy shot room or gone in. I called and called and called some more over a 3 month period trying to schedule an apt for my possible deviated septum. Never got a call back so one day I decided to just drive over there to make an apt in person. The lady at the front seat had me take a seat and wait for 20 min before I finally got an apt. I filled out all my paperwork online ahead of time and got to my apt right on time. I waited an hour and a half in the waiting room and once I was finally called back a lady was walking towards me with a needle like she was about to give me a shot as she asked "just the usual today" I asked her what she was talking about and she said for my allergy shot which I told her I don't have allergies and don't need an allergy shot. She said "Kelly?" And I said "no, my names Melody" and she's all "oh oops I called the wrong name!" So then after an hour and a half of waiting for my apt I almost got an allergy shot I didn't need! I went back to the waiting room and I waited 15 more min to be called back for my actual apt! When I got back the girl told me that Dr. Osborne would be looking in my nose with a tool so she needed to put some numbing spray up it. So she did and when Dr. Osborne finally came in he just tilted my head back, shinned a flashlight at my face and immediately determine that I had a deviated septum and said they would get me scheduled for surgery and rushed me out of the room to get scheduled. I didn't even need the awful numbing spray since the Dr. never put anything in my nose. I was so caught off guard that the apt was already over, I didn't get to ask a single question, he didn't explain anything to me. When I went out I asked if I could speak with him and the girls looked around before telling me that he had left for the day. Super hesitant I sat down to fill out the surgery scheduling paperwork and was told the surgery scheduler would be out to talk with me and I was hoping I'd be able to ask her some questions since Dr. Osborne had left. In the middle of filling out my paperwork I was told they were closing and that I needed to leave and that a surgery scheduled would call me. Needless to say no one ever did. That apt was over 6 months ago and no one ever called. So I found a new ENT, I would never in a million years recommend this office. I have never received such unprofessional service anywhere in my life, and have never felt like anyone cared less about me than at this place. Save yourself the time, money and disappointment and just go somewhere else. Dr. Osborne's lightning fast examination revealed I had only a deviated septum, but when I went to a new ENT place that actually took the time to do thorough examination revealed I had a deviated septum, collapsed nasal valve, and caudal septum deviation. I'm so thankful I didn't push to schedule surgery with West Valley ENT and found a new place that actually cares about the patient because in my experience this place doesn't. read more

I was a patient here during 2016. I never received a bill during the time I was receiving care but then received a bill for the entire year at a cost of over $1000. I spoke to the billing to inquire why this had occurred and apparently they had entered my insurance info incorrectly into their system. Never in the multiple visits when I was in office did someone ask me for my card to correct it. The billing department was not able or willing to make adjustments to the amount and I attempted to reach the office manager by leaving 2 messages, neither of these calls were returned. I can not say enough good things about Dr. Smedley and his staff. I had been misdiagnosed by not one, but two ENT specialists in the valley. I didn't agree with what I was being told and a coworker referred me to Dr. Smedley. Dr. Smedley is very personable and did a great job at explaining what was wrong and how he was going to fix it. He took the time and effort to properly diagnose me and now I can breathe again. I honestly can not give enough praise to Dr. Smedley - I would strongly recommend him to any of my family or friends. read more

I would have loved to have given West Valley ENT a more favorable review, however after waiting on the phone for 17 minutes and 18 seconds about an appointment was Ridiculous...this is not the first time it has happened last year when my husband need to reschedule an appointment we were left on hold for over ten minutes. Personally, if I ask some one if I can place them on hold and they say yes....I would definitely not let it take me 17 minutes to acknowledge that person!!!! Sorry is not enough. I hope West Valley ENT, would look into the poor customer service their clients receive when it comes to scheduling or canceling an appointment. Unlike me who have to foot my whole bill for service, regardless of BCBS I am disappointed in the way i was treated, they could have just called me back instead of making me wait an excessively long time. Dr. Smedley is the absolute best. He did an amazing job with our young daughter and her tonsil and adenoids surgery. He made us all feel so comfortable and she is so much better post surgery. We were so pleased we went back for my husbands issues. Another successful surgery abs my husband, after being miserable for years with septum issues, is problem free. We can't say enough about Dr. Smedley. I don't base my review off of office staff, I'm more concerned with the person performing surgery on my family members faces! read more

The only great thing about this place is Dr. Osborne. The rest - horrible. Front office staff is not too friendly, long waits and to top it off shady billing practices. I took my son in for some nasal issues and was told he may have allergies and that they wanted to do allergy tests. At the time I made the appointment I was assured it would be no charge for the allergy test visit and the follow up to go over the results of those tests would incur a normal copay charge. I made the appointment, we went in and had the tests done and was again assured that there would be no copay for that visit. Now here we are 6 months later where l have received a bill for that very visit. I called the billing department to explain to them what I was told and the gentleman I spoke with was quite rude and basically called me a liar. He was quite unwilling to help and had no customer service skills at all. Don't bother going to this facility as you will be left quite frustrated in the end. read more

Awful. I had Dr. Smedly and he told me I had acid reflux after sticking the scope down my nose/throat when I told him to stop and take it out (which he didn't) gave me 3 different medications to use for 3 months. None of them worked and they were expensive. Now I'm out $75, a copay, and I'm back to square one. read more

Was referred to West Valley ENT by my primary Doctor. I will never go back there. They ordered up my MRI and related test. I called ahead to make they received them and they said they had. Once I got there I waited in the exam room for over a hour because they could not find them and asked me if I had them. Poor organization, and poor customer service. read more

This is more towards staffing specifically Billing staff however in the end the Dr.'s are responsible for there personal. About two months ago I received a bill statement and called the office of Dr. Smedley to make payment arrangements. The lady I spoke to was very pleasant stated my request would be ok. I then initiated my first payment at this time and asked the lady if my account was notated for a fallow up payment she then assured me that it was. So on 8\12\19 I called to make which would of been my last payment and instead after 23 calls yes 23 calls to finally someone from a different location tells me they were shut down for a Team Building I then said ok ill try back tomorrow this time it took 13 tries before I was able to connect to there office but the billing person was not answering, I had expressed the sense of urgency to the Rep that all I wanted to do is pay my bill, The gentlemen assured me that he would see it personally that billing personal would contact me no later then 8\16\19... Well... that did not happen instead on 8/23/19 I received a collections notice. And now instead of dealing with Dr. Smedleys diagnoses I'm stuck dealing creditors... I will be looking for another service provider. read more

My wife has lost her voice. She is a singer and this condition is dangerous for her. We called for an appointment and were told the soonest is possibility was three weeks out. Clearly Osborne's office cannot provide effective urgent care. I would suggest finding a different office if you need to be seen quickly. Of course, we do not have any advice to offer regarding the doctor's quality of service in an urgent situation. For routine matters he has been great. read more

The worst customer service I've ever witnessed. When my husband and I walked in for our first check up after his surgery, we a lady working at the desk going off on an older gentleman that was asking about an appointment. He said he called numerous times and never received a call back so he had to come to the location for the information / appointment he was in need of. The lady behind the desk was condescending and extremely harsh with this elderly man. I was trying to think of a way to ease the tension while waiting to sign my husband in when he thanked the lady and left. I continued to watch her as she answered the phone and make smart ass comments after hanging up with people. Horrific! Do not let your parents or any elderly people come here!! I'd call the police on this place if they actually cared for elderly more than a few hours in the day. The office never answers their phone either. You have to choose #1 to make an appt. and it suggest you leave a message. I leave a message and NEVER get a call back. I called numerous times one day and a few times it just hung up on me. Saw Dr. Vasquez for dizziness, pressure in ears, and massive headaches after being diagnosed with unexplained fluid in my ears from GP. Without even looking in my ears he told me I must have nerve damage, because I tested with a 30% hearing loss. I said, shouldn't you look in my ears first before this conclusion? He said- oops, sorry, thought I had. He looked, said he found nothing and confirmed his diagnosis with no treatment course other than a future balance test. Nurse came in room and told me they were having problems with him not explaining things properly and giving hasty decisions. Told me they've had several complaints about his efficacy, even several that day! Made me promise not to tell anyone she said that. Sorry! I'm telling everyone! This guy should not be in practice. I will be seeking a 2nd opinion for sure. read more

My son has been treating for allergies with Dr. Osborne since May. Twice they have run out his serum without warning, and we easily wait 30 min. before they call him in for his two second shot. They say they are short handed, i guess he doesn't want to pay employees to work. I work in the medical field and would be fired if I treated or patients like that. I just received a bill with charges from March on it, I guess the billing department is short handed also. The bill says it must be paid in full or a late fee will be charged, I guess they realized they haven"t billed me since February. Very upset with the treatment of my son, I am looking for a new doctor. read more

I went to see their office because I thought I had throat cancer. I couldn't swallow well. I got a CT of my neck and then I saw Dr. Smedley. Wow he is amazingly good. He and his PA are so down to earth. They talk to you like you are a team not down to you or looking at their watch. He looked at my CT for several minutes did a scope of my throat and the bumps I had. He thoroughly examined me and then showed me a medical chart showing the part of the body we were talking about. He showed me exactly the part we were talking about and exactly how that related to me. I couldn't believe I just had bad gastric and throat acid disease. He was thorough and extremely kind along with his PA. I had complete confidence in him when we were through and I will definitely see him for all my ENT needs. I got there thinking I had cancer and left with some Zantac. I felt such relief. What an amazing staff. Wow! Go see them if you think you have anything wrong. read more

If I could give zero stars I would!! Dr. Osborne was thorough but his staff gets a grade "-F" They give you referrals to places that don't accept your insurance.. so be sure to ask because W.V doesn't!! If they accept your insurance W.V. ENT probably hasn't requested a pre authorization from your insurance company or they have submitted it incorrectly. They do real well in writing referrals but not getting "permission" from your insurance! Make sure you check or your insurance might deny the claim. The MRI place they sent me to had to request the authorization themselves. The 1st office they sent me to for a balance test didn't even accept my insurance. I didn't find this out until I made the appointment! The 2nd place they sent me to, also had to request an authorization themselves. And it still cost me over $300 because part of the test the Dr ordered wasn't covered. I called my insurance company to ask about another authorization W.V ENT said they requested & my insurance company said W.V had submitted it 3+ times incorrectly & it was denied because of it. I called & left a message for the office Mgr to call me... No call back after almost a week! I called my insurance company and filed a complaint & they immediately issued me a new authorization for a different ENT!! On the only positive note.. the ladies at the front desk making appts & checking you in are very nice.. read more

I do not recommend this office for allergy shots. Both of my daughters have had shots here for the last 2 years. We have waited over 40 minutes to be told that the serum was not in. This has happened 3 times. I called several times today from 1:30-3:30 to be sure serum was in office since I have lost confidence in their system. There was no answer. I left a message but no callback from them. I decided to drive there straight after school. The office was packed. Sign on door said "allergy computer system down, wait will be longer than normal". I noticed phone ringing, lines blinking. I told receptionist that I've been calling last 2 hours. Asked her "are you not answering phone?" She replied, "only when I can, it's been crazy". I then asked her to please make sure serum is there so I can return on Monday. This took too long so I walked in the back and questioned the assistant myself. She said "sorry, it's not here, we usually call when it's ready". That's a lie, they do not. So I told her that it's a good thing I asked otherwise I'd have waited over 40 minutes to be told not here, again. This would have been 4th time. That's unacceptable. Not sure what's up. Too many patients? Someone is not doing their job. read more
