The deadbolt on our front door stopped working. It was stuck in locked position, so we literally could not use our front door. We also had another door leading to the garage that would lock if it shut too hard, so we had a few incidences of being locked out the house. The front door was more urgent and I found West Valley Locksmith. I had bought the locks, I just needed someone to do the work for the 2 doors. I called them around 4:30 and by 5:30, Daniel was at my house working on the locks. I could not have been more grateful for the quick response and service. Daniel was a really nice guy, very personable and efficient. He clearly knows his craft. Less than an hour later, he was done and locks were working perfectly!! On Friday Nov. 13th I locked myself out of the house in Litchfield Park and called West Valley Locksmith at 4:30 p.m. for help. Mordy arrived 15 minutes later, was friendly and polite. The door inside the garage to the house has two locks, a dead bolt and a second lever one. The dead bolt was unlocked, but the lever one had opened up earlier with my key, and then did not completely unlock after I entered. I went into the garage again and couldn't get back in. Mordy said the service charge was $45 and the minimum charge to unlock the levered handle would be $125 since he might have to take it all apart. I then said, let's try the front door where only the deadbolt is locked. That worked. He used a small pick to open it in 3 seconds and told me the charge for $125! So, I guess the company's website claim didn't apply to me: "We offer the most competitive rates on all services and many of our customers end up being long-term customers because we are so affordable!" - this is not the experience I had. I was locked out of my home on 3.28.20 and called this place (as the info for the locksmith I've used once before was locked inside the house). I called West Valley Locksmith as I used my neighbors phone so I googled & ended up calling this place (should have borrowed the neighbors phone longer if I knew how BAD I'd be OVERCHARGED). From the initial call till arrival was about 45-50min & locksmith Morty was friendly hence the one star. I was told it was $39 for the lockout and labor starts at $35. Morty arrives and in the 3min (it was definitely not even 5min) and he QUICKLY had the door unlocked. I ask for the total and he said $164!!! He charged me $125 for 3min of "labor." I'm a licensed healthcare provider and don't even make $125 every 3min!! I understand with the Covid19 pandemic small businesses may be taking a hit BUT THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!! SKIP THIS PLACE AND FIND A BETTER DEAL (You WILL with no issue). Or better yet, msg me and I'll give you the number of my preferred locksmith who doesn't take advantage of their customers. Lost my key to my 2007 Nissan Altima Push Start and have no spare. Called these guys to have them come out. Talked to a really nice Tech, Nathan, who said to come out at the time I called (1130pm) would be about $450 because of the time. He said daytime calls would be closer to dealership costs. He was amazing at explaining everything and honest in his pricing. I decided I could wait a day to save money and he referred me to another tech. The other tech called me, from another locksmith company I had looked into. I asked if he was with West Valley and he said no, gave me attitude and then hung up. Then he called back 30 seconds later and said he got a contract from West Valley too (who he also subcontracts out with) and was wanting to schedule to come to my house. I asked about pricing and he was evasive. He asked what Nathan told me, then he hesitated and asked if Nathan gave me a quote for the next day. I said no, and then he decided to tell me his price point of 400 "give or take." When asked why it was so much, he said West Valley determines his price points and emails him. The whole thing was very shady and I could tell he wasn't being honest about his pricing. I decided not to go with West Valley because they subcontract out and they don't have standardized pricing, which means you could get screwed once the tech comes out and decides to charge you more for no reason. read more

We called Mike and he indicated he would be able to arrive within 30 minutes which was great. When he showed up later in the day as we did not have an exact time of arrival, our office manager had stepped out to get lunch one minute down the street. According to my staff, he was verbally abusive and began demanding to know "how much his time was worth in comparison to hers." He then left and returned at which time I advised my staff has to pay him for the trip out there. Did not use his services and will not be using his services in the future. My wife and I just bought a house in the area and have had a tough time getting our locks fixed. With a lot of going back and forth from Ace, Lowes, and Home Depot we decided to give Mike a shot. Strange experience! A young lady came out in a Hyundai SUV obviously a personal vehicle. She wasn't wearing a work shirt or anything resembling a company. She was in yoga pants and a tattered shirt. I was quoted $180.00 on the phone, but when she got here she said the price was 500.00. She said I needed a new cylinder. When I told her I wouldn't pay double, she insisted on charging me a trip charge. I asked her to at least open the door on the truck for me but she refused. She was quickly trying to run my credit card but I got it away before she could. She yelled at me then sent me nasty text messages as I was going back to work. I have Cameras on my house so I will see if I can post a good shot of her. After wasting half my day on her, I called Mr. Lockout they came out the same day. They had the truck open and new keys cut in an hour. Best part it was only $125.00. I recommend Mr.Lockout. I asked another friend and he said he thinks they sub the work to a handful of trunk slammers. That would explain the lack of company logo or any company information. Terrible customer service . Was never given a quote , was just told that they would be 29$ initially and starting at 25$ for service . I had to leave and left my girlfriend in charge and she doesn't know much about the process , it took them 15 seconds to open the door and they charged her 160$ . She was told after how much it would be . I called with my concerns and the technician hung up on me . Place is a joke , taking advantage of people . Called to inquire about getting locks changed. They sent a tech pretty quickly and gave me a quote to change the locks. He returned with the locks I requested and after he completed the job, he informed me that he rekeyed the locks and not replaced them. He also said he had to use a more expensive lock to fit my door which significantly changed the quote and did not ask permission first before installing them. I paid a hefty price for their service. He finished the job at 7pm. I called the next day to speak to a manager and was given multiple f bombs when asked why I needed to speak to them. They hung up before I could say another word. Well like an idiot, I had a problem with the safe in that I couldn't find the carbonation and while I had a key, it wouldn't work. Since this was an old safe, there were no real work around, so I was forced to call locksmith and have them remove the front door of the safe to get in.
