IMO this is how you get the most of your players and the players get the most of the coaches. Not the most glamorous facility, but hardwork is built in the trenches and not on aesthetics. Opt for lessons, practice, tournaments, showcases. Both baseball and softball. Beginners and ballers can be found here. If your son/daughter wants to put in the hours to be a better ball player, I suggest SJBTC as the best solution. Go Bulldogs!

MIXED REVIEW for camp and for tryouts. camps are 5 stars and tryouts are 1 star or less (negative…read more1000 aura per my teen daughter for tryouts) CAMPS- 5 Stars I signed up my daughter who is a libero for all of their summer camps. They excel at teaching the foundations of volleyball literally step by step. The camps are broken down into specific parts of volleyball - like hitting, offense, serve/pass, etc. Even if your child has played for a while she will learn and dramatically improve from taking their camps. Even though my daughter plays liberó she took the other parts and it has made her a better volleyball player overall. The only downside to the camp is that the coaches are not friendly. They are serious business from start to finish. I've put her in camps at different places and the camps are serious but the coaches are friendly and positive. Here you'll get none of that. They are machines and they will drill a particular step over and over with no smiles or positivity. Also, if your daughter isn't used to hard core conditioning or long practices limit the camps you sign up because your daughter will get a work out. My daughter is obsessed with volleyball and practices on her own as well as does conditioning, running, practice 4 times a week. She would come home dripping in sweat. She loved it but not all kids looked happy walking out. They looked exhausted. Regardless, I highly recommend the camps. TRYOUTS- 1 star or less (negative 1000 aura per my daughter) I wasn't familiar with Vision at all. I decided to sign her up for tryouts and thought it was going to be like other teams where they actually try you out and evaluate you. The key thing to know is that the TEAMS ARE SET BEFORE TRYOUT. I didn't know this. They usually are looking for one or two players (this year 2025 outside or middle only). So there were probably 70 girls (or more) and they wanted 2. The girls get very little play time and cycle in and out so there isn't a chance for your daughter to really be evaluated. It is chaotic. Also don't assume that because you took a camp that they would even know your daughter or that it would give her a chance. I found out that they do private camps, had 98% of the teams set, they had talked to parents and player well before tryouts and at tryouts, and that if you didn't hear from them at practice, tryout, or within 24 hours then you didn't get in. They also only want tall girls. If your child isn't over 5'7 don't bother to tryout. Just facts- these Vision girls are giants. If your daughter isn't vertically blessed then pass on tryout. Finally they ghost after tryout. Not only was the tryout chaotic but they didn't send out an email or anything notifying your daughter that she didn't get on the team. If they have the teams set already it would be simple to send out a mass email to everyone else (all 68 girls) saying " great job at tryout but we can't accept you on a team this year." Even a simple sentence like that would be good so that your daughter could tryout for another team or accept an offer they have gotten. The waiting game hurts their ability to move on to another team. It's a courtesy and they could automate it so not sure why they ghost. Very unprofessional and not a good business model. This leads me to think the tryout is a money maker for them. What I don't understand is that if they have 70 girls trying out why not add a few more teams. This is a business and they would make money on that too. Just beware of all this before you sign up for tryouts. Had this been disclosed up front then you can make an informed decision to tryout or not. Seriously - if they had said we need an outside and middle then I would have had my daughter tryout elsewhere bc she is Libero so there was no chance before she even started the tryout. All tryouts for 15+ are same day in July for all teams everywhere so she could have tried out elsewhere had all of this been disclosed. They need more disclosure up front and probably need to improve their business model.

It was just great. All the kids had a fantastic time, the league was pretty well organized given all the moving parts, the refs were great, and other than a few of the coaches (dads) who took the whole thing too seriously (and they were in the minority) this was a great experience. I'd say one of the best thing about this league is that the athletic kids can shine, and the kids who aren't that talented still find roles they are good at and feel good about it.

The league dumped a bunch on newbies on my sons team this year and we were highly disadvantage. What kid decided in 7th or 8th grade they want to suddenly pick up a new sport anyway? It's been a major handicap and disappoint to the few kids on the team they know the game and feel defeated. Why not run a draft system? No, they would be able to buddy up but at least you would have more evenly matched teams and some real competitive games instead of the same teams slaughtering everyone other every weekend? If you put in the work, you'll receive amazing results. For example, I was a lefty. Coach Tony and Ryan push me through to learn new techniques before or after practice. Playing time was also very limited for many players, even during less important tournaments for -1, -2, -3 teams. It is understable that -1 team has this since -1 teams play in open division, want to win and get seen by the college recruits. -2 and -3 teams are more developmental. If players do not play, how will they improve? We heard quite a bit of frustration among middle school teams at bay to bay about this, where the focus should be really on learning and building confidence. The club might be a fit for families focused on competitive results and evetually want kids to become college players. Actually, many D1 teams have a large team roster. College players compete to even get the training time and let alone the play time on the court. So, some mental training is needed. Hoever, those looking for development, a healthy sport as life long hobby and clearer cost expectations should ask detailed questions before joining.

Uniforms, league refs in pin stripe shirts, and an incredible friendliness highlight this effort. I am so very committed to spreading the good word about this league. All the kids play in every game and are taught sportsmanship and good on court etiquette, yet the play remains competitive. Our family is so thankful to the Church for putting this on in their first rate gym. Oh, and you don't have to be a Church member or even a Christian to play. Campbell Little League was the dopest little league around. Growing up all we thought about was making the majors 9-12yr olds. T-ball, farm, minors were all just stepping stones. Campbell little league and baseball in general is what kept me straight growing up. While my boys were wild'n out on the streets, I was at the field 24-7. I would either be playing, practicing, studying other teams, announcing, even umpiring at times (dream job as a teen). Most importantly I learned how to be a team player and a leader... more or less, they taught me how to be a man in the work place. I coached my old team one summer when I was 18 and it was one of the best experiences in my life! If you live in Campbell and have a boy/girl who wants to play ball... hopefully you are in their district!

They usually have a professional photog taking pics of the kids. Overall lots of perks for a season. The field is well lit and the parents, and coaches are great! Two years later and there is no better league! Any issue or concern is met with caring and understanding. We have met some great coaches and had the best time ever as we've watched our boys grow and develop as players in this league.
