There's also a section of local artists selling things like tshirts, knickknacks, art pieces like paintings and collages. Regardless if I buy anything, I just love walking around the market looking at all the fresh, colorful produce, thinking of what delicious dishes could be made from the plethora of ingredients. Many top restaurants in the city book directly with vendors here, which says something about the quality of the products. Still open Mon, Wed, Fri & Sat. Usually the most vendors on Saturday I think. I ordered roast beef both times and they were good both times. This time I got the "God Father" sandwich which is made of hot roast beef on a toasted hero with mozzarella. I substituted in the mayo instead of russian dressing. The sandwich was so warm, crispy, and delicious. I ate the whole meal in 10 minutes and I felt a little guilty afterward. I had to workout twice as hard to burn all the fat that I just ate. They also give you crinkle cut chips and a pickle to round out the meal. They were both perfect additions. This deli has awesome lunch specials plus they don't tax. It's a win win combination.

It's a small convenience-type store and they carry produce, deli items, flowers and some groceries as well. The flowers they had on display looked very fresh cut and the fruit was nicely displayed and looked very fresh as well. Since I was in the mood for something light I grabbed a container of fruit salad and went with that. I took it back to the place where I was staying and had it there. The fruit was perfectly cut into bite-size pieces and was sweet and tasty. The portion size was just enough to fill me up. The service at the checkout area was good and the price for the fruit salad was very fair for the amount of fruit that I received.

Plenty of fruits , veggies , etc and prices are cheaper then the overpriced supermarkets in the area . Stuff is fresh and they seem to be open everyday 24/7. I always pick up some bananas , oranges , apples , grapes, carrots , tangerines, celery , tomatoes, early in the morning on Sunday before heading to Astoria and I never had a complaint about freshness or quality. During the red cherry season , I can grab a few pounds of delicious cherries and guarantee a tummy ache from munching too many at one time . Worth the visit when ever I can . 4.5 stars on my yelp meter.
