My mother who is 90 years old has been shopping at Stop and Shop for at least 30-40 years. To this day she still spends $175-$200 per week. We put in her order every week online for delivery. Stop and Shop asks for specific instructions for the driver, we fill it out every week to be delivered to her door, 2nd floor in an apartment. She also includes the tip online and the 1 time in the last 7 weeks the driver followed the instructions and my mother gave him an additional cash tip. Yes, you read that right once out of the last 7 times. Drivers have been rude and have blatantly ignored her request a couple of them just said no, but still got their online tip. Today was the last straw not only did the driver drop them in the lobby and then ignore her call. The bags were ripped and damaged. She had to go down 3 times with her small cart take the groceries out of the damaged bags an take the up with the cart. Like I said shes 90 years old with 2 bad knees., its just not right. Tomorrow, I will call again for the 8th time, I dont want a gift card, I want them to refund her $15 tip is all. We will move on from Stop and Shop. I know they really dont care, because they have enough sheep that go in there on a weekly basis. Pay their high prices to get treated in this way. I dont Shop there for my family as I said prices are high and selections are low. I have tried to convince my mother to stop shopping there and today she finally sees why. They dont care. Dont put driver instructions online if they aren't going to follow them. I am going to put this information everywhere I can. So if you have elderly parent(s) or a disabled family member. Take my advice Look elsewhere! Or do what I'm going to do, just Shop for her (NOT AT STOP AND SHOP). Dont believe what they tell you on the phone, all the fake niceties, they dont mean it its all BS.

I don't get all the nasty reviews...this place is just a normal Whole Foods. I happened to be in…read morethe area and swung by for a quick snack and some laptop time before a meeting, and it was fine. The reviews made me fear it was going to be some really tiny cramped WF like the one in Cambridge on Prospect Street which doesn't even have public bathrooms or tables to eat at, but no this is just a run-of-the-mill small/medium WF similar to the ones in Arlington, Medford, Winchester or Somerville. Not a great big nice one like at Fresh Pond or on River Street but nothing I'd particularly complain about either. Puh-leez. Caveat: I am not rich/dumb enough to do ALL my grocery shopping here, just a handful of specific things that I can't find anywhere else, e.g. Highlawn Farms grassfed milk. That's what Market Basket is for, folks---stop whining about the prices here, doh it's called "Whole Paycheck" for a reason.

Now that the secret is out we are getting some new tastes of the area. These stores as we have seen from prior times in other states are pretty standard. You can find the typical 365 brand name quality here and in our home state. The salad bar area is a great choice. They always make it fresh and delicious. Thai area and the bakery area is great especially when away from home. It's a great way to stay to your standards of living clean. The store was highly reliant on being clean and having employees that were working and willing to be present. Make sure and have dessert the bakery at Whole Foods is always available and the chosen location for all of those decisions of your choosing. Being bad never felt so delicious with the cupcakes and cookies here. Now we are off to the next step. Stop on in for the next time you need the best of choices in 365 happy.
