First I got a quote from Eddie and one other roofer and Eddie's price was the fairest and most professional of the two, so it was an easy decision to hire him. Eddie was booked for the next month or two, but he gave me an approximate start date, kept in touch with updates along the way and indeed they started my job pretty close to when he predicted, despite several weather delays he must have encountered on his other jobs. Eddie also pulled all necessary permits with the county. Eddie's crew is really top notch. Very friendly and hard working. They showed up on time each day. They first tore off my old roof and did a good job controlling and clearing the mess with a lot of tarps on the ground around my house. Then they replaced a few pieces of plywood on my roof that had warped over the years. One of the great things Eddie's crew also does is they replace or fix everything on your roof that needs it, including any vent pipes, flashing, drip edges and ridge vents, all of which were budgeted in his original estimate. They also seal all pipes, protrusions, and paint everything to match the roof. The final shingle installation was executed perfectly as well. Eddie Hobbs Roofing is licensed and bonded. He also includes a 5-year warranty on all workmanship. It's been 18 months since Eddie Hobbs Roofing has installed my roof and it's holding up really well without a single leak. I have…read moreinsurance through the California fair plan and received a letter from them stating that I needed to do some work on my roof. They had done some aerial photos and didn't like the way it looked. Anyone who's ever worked with the state knows they are not very efficient. I received a letter dated June 25. The date I opened the letter when it was received in my mailbox was July 10. It said I had 30 days to rectify the situation and if it wasn't rectified by July 25, 15 days later that I would be receiving a substantial penalty and fee increase. After asking for recommendations, David's name came up time and time again. I gave his office a call and his assistant who answered was extremely polite and very helpful. I explained the letter she said she's familiar with them and she would get David out to the house within the next day or two. She was true to her word. The next day David showed up did a roof inspection. Told me what I needed to get done and told me that he wouldn't be able to get to it for a few days because he had other jobs. Completely understandable he wrote me out an estimate and laid that out completely in the estimate so that I could send it to fair. I've heard so many things about people who work on the mountain in big bear. They work off of something called mountain time. They may show up within a couple of days of the day they told you and within a couple of hours of the time they told you. David is not that way. He's a man of his word. His company is outstanding and I would highly recommend him if you need a reliable trustworthy person to do your roof roofing. Can't give him enough stars.
