Rescheduled my service three times, so I had to take off from work three times in a week. Terrible.

This review is for the service center-it seems to be under new management and they are HORRIBLE! They are totally disorganized and all over the place-they try to bait and switch you with pricing and were reluctant to take my coupon that was on their website. They even lied about the labor time that was needed for a repair-one sales person said 1 hr and the other before that said it would only take a 1/2 hr. They are very unprofessional as well fighting in front of customers, I really do not trust them at all. They are not good with customers-the previous leadership was so much better under Charlene!!! We miss her. I will not be going back to this service location anymore-they try to nickle and dime you on everything and are WAY overpriced, be careful as they will try to over charge you without you realizing it as well. read more

This review is for the service center only. The service center is NOT open on Saturdays- who wants to take time for work? They will drive you to the train if it's before 9AM, however, you won't get a ride back. They also do NOT have lock out service. also, you must have car trouble in advance as they can't squeeze any emergencies in. also, do not get towed here on weekends as they are not open.Facility waiting area is tiny. I agree with the others here - what a pity this dreary dealership represents good brands as the experience is terrible. I can relay two stories: my boyfriend stopped by with his daughter to look at buying a new car. Although there were three sales people who saw them, not one greeted them, said anything, or even acknowledged them. They eventually left. A few days later, i went there as I am buying a new car. Same experience. We actually saw another guy with his daugheter there looking and they were ignored, so they finally left! We had to approach a guy at his desk and ask if he could help. The guy asked very little questions, did nothing to engage us. Was rude on the test drive.... pretty much felt like we were imposing on him. It was strange - WE were the ones trying to establish rapport. Can't say I even remember driving the Mazda as the experience just made me want to leave and take my business elsewhere. Online it indicates a huge stock at this dealer - WRONG. There was only one model of what I was interested in, and it was a base trim model, whereas I wanted the mid or high trim. Online it indicated they had at least 10 - NOT the case. Buying a new car is a big moment - it should be a good experience. If you're interested in a Mazda - do not go here! read more

Someone must have talked with these guys. I say that because this was my second go-round with Westchester Mazda; the first time wasn't great, but it's the closest and most convenient. And I believe in second chances. So here it goes... First of all and most importantly, my car feels so much better to drive, so I'm hoping that means that the actual auto service was great; but Customer Service is what we're talking about most of the time, and this review is no exception. Be ready for Charlene's brusque but loving manner, which is more endearing when you expect it. I was put off by it the first time, but more so remember her strong empathy on return, after ten days without my car... She knows what it does to you when you are without your car... she knows her stuff, and these are the important things. The Charlene greeting and her 'auto triage' was followed by Louis the porter whisking me off in a personal shuttle to work (read: they had no more loaner cars but got me where I needed to go. And picked me up). Ralph the service manager was in touch several times during the day regarding service; he was consistently apologetic about the lack of loaner cars and assured me that Louis would meet me again at the end of the day. He appeared straightforward about what needed to be done in that much of the work was under warranty; additionally, there was some wear due to a defective Mazda part, so they replaced that free of charge! Whaaaaat? Ralph even advised me about a coupon on their website, which saved me even more on my NYS inspection!!! Holy Crap! A Dealer Service Center that SAVES you money?!?!?!?! I vote yes. Don't ever go to this place. They pretend to have a better price and utilize all tricks to try to get you on a worse deal. They lied about a lot of information and altered their price several times. Mazda is a good car. What a pity that they have a dealer like this! read more

Did some research on the internet and figured out that I needed a small inexpensive part to fix my problem. A little research on the Mazda forum indicated the part might cost as much as $12 at a dealership. A quick call to Westchester Mazda revealed they had the part in stock. Great. How much? $25 Huh? Are you sure? Yes sir, that is the price. So I called another dealer. They also had the part in stock. How much? $5 Why is Westchester Mazda charging 5x what others are charging? This is not my first time dealing with this Parts and Service Dept. They are poorly managed, disorganized, and over charge. Stay away. read more

(This review is purely for the Service Center) Absolutely terrible customer service! After Westchester Mazda performed work on my car totaling thousands of dollars, they refused to reimburse me for a nominal rental car fee after repeated misrepresentations by individuals in the service center that I would not be charged for same. Numerous emails and calls later to several members of Westchester Mazda went unanswered. What a terrible way to treat people. A customer brings over thousands of dollars of business to you and you cannot reimburse him for a petty fee which you repeatedly said you would?? The fact that they continue to ignore my repeated communications speaks volumes.... avoid this place at all costs. read more

PEERLESS INCOMPETENCE! Fix 1 Break 2 motto!!! Keep DMV VS-35 & Small Claims forms handy! Peerless incompetence is a compliment compared to how I could describe the "Premier Collection" group, who owns Mazda White Plains a.k.a. Westchester Mazda. They service/sell Audi, BMW, Fiat, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mazda, Subaru, Volkswagen, and Volvo. This is important because they destroyed my vehicle and I now have to buy another! I've had such a terrible experience that I'm not even looking at one of these brands for purchase, on the off chance it would ever have to be serviced by any location that they own. I am a loyal Mazda customer and have/had a Miata and a Tribute; the only car I would ever consider buying was another Mazda, that's changed! I went in for simple repairs and came out with major engine damage after they had my vehicle for 90 days (yes NINETY, the car could have been put together from just parts shipped from Japan in that time). They did not pay for my previous or current rental fees as promised, I'm currently in a rental and have to purchase another vehicle. I've had to purchase my own parts because they didn't have their act together enough to even get factory parts; some of which were not needed, a wasted expense from misdiagnosis. I've reported them to Mazda Corporate which did less than nothing. I responded to a sales flyer thinking they wanted to try to make right trashing my car and I got a condescending brush-off regarding the age of my vehicle from Victor Bellavia (Sales), this matched the belligerence of Anthony Cacciola (Service Manager). Don't fall for the "Win $5,000 Cash" sales gimmick, I didn't see anyone win; seemed more like a sleazy bait and switch tactic (break a vehicle to get you to buy a new one). They offered to put a used catalytic converter on my car (for $200 while I could have gotten a new one from AutoZone for that price, and $1,700 for a new one-OUTRAGEOUS!) after breaking it to begin with; at cost (what nerve). Keep DMV VS-35 complaint & Application to File Small Claims forms handy, you'll need them to file at City and Hearing near you! Corporate for all these companies need to realize that although a Dealership is independently owned, their actions effect corporate sales; as such sanction or cut loose gross offenders of the company brand. For the person reading this, just consider; if they can't fix basic problems on a Mazda would you really want them working on your luxury vehicle (just a thought). This place has ruined my peace and happiness. I got my car serviced from them for two years. First of all you have to wait for days, call them multiple times to get an appointment which is 2 weeks later. Then when you turn up on time there is no one to attend to you and the receptionist will say to wait for another 1 hour. After all this when you get your car serviced, you realize that these idiots never did an annual maintenance inspection. I am done with this garage and have been going to Mazda of New Rochelle which is a 100 times better and with people who know how to serve you as a customer.
