What a way of doing business! They have definitely lost us. Canadian tire has a 3 months warranty on any plant purchase. I d rather go there.

Very pleasant staff, very helpful, and nice, wide aisles to accommodate the excellent giant carts. Prices reasonable - unlike rapacious Art Knapp charging $4.49 for a twee pot of petunias, and that was last year. Probably $6 this year! Best of all, they respond to email inquiries right away so that if they haven't got it, you can move on. B.C. retailers are so NOT service-oriented. If they're in trouble we sure know why. Not one of the garden centres that eventually deigned to tell me they didn't have the plant I was looking for, offered to find and special order one for me. Hint: There is a fortune to be made for anyone with wholesale access to a wide selection of flowers and plants who also delivers for a reasonable price - a fortune! It was fun joining besty for a plant shopping. You can grab a free coffee or buy water for 50cents to keep your energy going. Lotsa traffic if you go in the afternoon so shop early! It took us an hour drive from Scott Rd to get to Devan's. Petting zoo area can lure kids and animal lovers. You can buy animal treats for a quarter to feed goats. I also got to see chickens and baby goats as well. They were so cute. They sell the sweetest cherries ever it costs $1.49 per lb. Definitely go-to place for a plant shopping!

The plants here are super reasonably priced. Its worth coming out here for the variety and price. There's also aquatic plants, veggies, outdoor landscaping plants, soil, ammendments, seeds, trellises and pots and even snacks? at the cashier. I got a vanilla orchid plant here for probably at least $10-20 less than at a nursery or garden centre in Vancouver. I did notice some plants seemed to be sold out, but they were very specific so I think it wouldn't be an issue for most people. The parking lot is huge. Traffic where it's located was bad because there was active construction going on, so try to go outside of rush hour. Staff was friendly. Overall, worth a stop if you are in the area and worth the drive at least once in the spring.

A nice gift, but the strata bylaws for our condo do not permit flower pots, bird-feeders, or any other such arrangements, to be hung from our balcony ceilings. Now what? I prepared a small 'table' - of large concrete blocks I could find - to provide a height for the plant to 'hang'. It has worked well - allowing water drainage, and sufficient height to capture the 'light' it required. Recent results -- some colourful, very flavourful, and tasty, cherry tomatoes to add to dinner salads.

The selection and variety is absolutely top notch and the staff are very kind and extremely knowledgeable (take advantage of their expertise!). I really can't say enough about them. They are a little more pricy on some items than some of the nurseries I've gone/go to, but their stock is far superior than anywhere else that I frequent. I have now got my entire family travelling from all over the lower mainland to visit them! Do yourself a big favour and go see for yourself. I think you will be very pleasantly surprised. My Mom has also fallen in love with this plant store and insists on coming all the way from White Rock as she likes the varied selection and the quality of the plants. The best part of this store is the customer service. My elderly Mom was already near the check-out and wanted some petunias which were located in the garden centre (way at the back of the store). The lady who helped my Mom did not make her feel bad that she didn't know the name of the flower she wanted and brought her a few colors of the petunias to choose from. Then she needed some potting soil and another clerk went to get her a bag so she didn't have to move from the check-out area. Stellar customer service and products. Will keep on telling people all about this gem in Pitt Meadows!
