Where do I start with this dumpster fire... First off, Simply checking in feels like you're interrupting them, which is unacceptable. I've been through 3 dental hygienists in the time i've been there (3 years). The first was wonderful, but was fully booked for when i tried to schedule agin for a routine cleaning. So I got put with another dental hygienist. She was by far the worst hygienist I've dealt with. The entire five-minute cleaning felt rushed and careless, and her attitude made it obvious she didn't want to be there. I wasn't even given a toothbrush or floss because she couldn't be bothered to restock her cabinet. After dealing with this twice, I finally requested someone else. It is also kind of awkward as they schedule their cleanings once youre done not the medical receptionist at the front. I also had a time I arrived at my cleaning and was told that the hygienist went home sick... yet no one from the office called to tell me and I showed up. Now imagine if you had childcare coordinated and that happens? How disorganized and unprofessional. If theyre not scheduling appointments for patients that are there not sure what else they are doing to not have time to call all the patients a dental hygienist had to cancel for. And yes as a nurse whose worked in a clinic I have made sure this was done so its procedure. Jeanine I've had most consistently and shes a peach. Always asking about me and giving convo starters for when either brother (dentists) come to take a quick peek at your teeth. Thats one of the biggest issues. The dentist is already an unpleasant place, but this experience took it to another level. The dentist showed absolutely no enthusiasm, no warmth, and no apparent interest in being there at all. Their flat, indifferent attitude made the entire visit uncomfortable and left a terrible impression. Ive encountered both and its the same experience with both. I would not recommend this place to anyone your teeth they will probably rot out with how uninterested all of them are in their job. The people with good review of them are just being nice because they are a well known family in Westerly. HA read more

Amazing!!!!! I was a patient of Dr. Brian's as a child and young adult. I am so thankful to have his son Dr. Marcus as my dentist now. He is very kind, professional, attentive and thorough. My hygienist Kristine is amazing as well, so knowledgeable, efficient and an overall simply the best I have ever had. On the other side there's Dr Warne an Endodontist that has the most soothing manner, and walks you through every single step. I was honestly scared going in, but he even managed to make me giggle a bit. He gave me a root canal which went very smoothly. He was very patient , extremely attentive, and very thorough as well. I was not in discomfort at all afterwards. From the moment you walk in you are greeted with such friendly smiles from Penny and Cathy at the front desk whom also go the extra mile to assist in any needs you have. I was a patient there for about 30 years. After Dr. Brian retired and the boys took over patient care is not a priority. Since then, I have seen 4 different dentists and Dr. Michael who I saw last week is the worst. He was obviously distracted because of an emergency and was constantly interrupted at which point he would put down the drill and leave the room. He also tried dictating a letter while drilling my tooth. I was told to expect either a filling or a crown. I guess I got the filling, although no one mentioned what was going to be done. He wasn't remotely interested in what he was doing and did not really seem to acknowledge that there was a human being in his dental chair read more

They have been able to schedule appointments around my work schedule, which is very helpful. Dr. Capalbo explained in detail the work I would need and I have been very impressed with the results! Received a call yesterday that we owe money from a procedure from 2 years ago and that the insurance company just informed Westerly Dental Group that we maxed out on our insurance claim and that we need to pay for the difference. Found out today, when I called them back to cancel our appointments, that it was an error. Billing department asked the receptionist, who was amazing, to apologize on there behalf. This is not the first time that we have had a problem with Westerly Dental Group. Make sure you know what your out of pocket is before they do a procedure. They wait until it is completed to tell you. read more

My family has been using the westerly dental group for about twenty plus years. The best dentists and hygienists. Love their great care and friendly demeanor. One of the most punctual Dr's offices ever. My average teeth cleaning appointment is finished in 30-40 minutes and always starts on time. I broke a tooth and needed a crown, they had me in the office the next day. The crown came out great. Nancy is my favorite hygienist. read more

Over the past year I can honestly say I have truly found my smile both on the inside and also on the outside. Being around people you love and enjoying life truly makes you smile on the inside, however even during times of happiness over the past say 15 to 20 years I can rarely be seen smiling on the outside. Looking back through pictures from high school, from college, and through my career to date there were in barely any or no photos at all in which I was seen smiling with my teeth showing. The reason was, in all honesty that I wasn't at all happy with my teeth. I had a small gap, some chips on some teeth, and a slight over bite as well. When I turned 30 I decided it was time to give myself a present, and the gift I chose to give myself was a smile on the outside I could be proud of. So I looked into many options, and living in NYC the options were plentiful as you can imagine as some of the best doctors in the world practice here. However for one reason or another I just didn't feel right with any of the dentists I met with, or just didn't feel right about the procedures themselves. It was at this time I then put in a call to an old fried Michael Capalbo, and the team at the Westerly Dental Group. Michael invited me in for a visit, and I haven't looked back since. Upon meeting with Michael I instantly felt comfortable and confident that he was the person to help guide the process of the transformation of my smile. He always made sure I was aware of each step along the way, and was so accommodating in scheduling with coming from out of state, that I can't thank him enough just for that alone. Michael recommended Invisalign and I agreed that was the path to take and after first taking out my wisdom teeth, we began the Invisalign journey. A week ago I finished my last set of trays and paid Michael another visit. After 14 months I looked in the mirror and I smiled and began to tear up. I was in shock at how good my teeth looked. I saw the before picture next to my current smile and it was truly an amazing feeling. Michael also then did some quick tweaks including some minor shaving down of a few teeth to ensure I felt it was 100% exactly what I wanted. This additional attention to detail along with the total transformation itself speaks to the incredible team at Westerly Dental Group. It is with no hesitancy I highly recommend Michael Capalbo and the Westerly Dental Group for Invisalign procedures specifically, and for all areas of Family and Cosmetic Dentistry. I have been going to Westerly Dental for over 20 years and my daughter also goes there. They have the same equipment that they had there when I was a kid. When you go to reception to check in and ring the bell you can see the girls joking and laughing and ignoring you behind the glass. The doctors come in, say hi, look at your teeth, say bye and leave. Never any conversation or explanation. My daughter had a baby tooth that was not coming down and they kept saying it was fine and would come down eventually. When she went to her first orthodontist appt I was told that the tooth would have to be removed surgically because it was being blocked by a clump of about 20 calcium deposits. The surgery was agony for her. It would not have been so bad if they had cared about it earlier. And I have always been told that my teeth are perfect. I have always had one sensitive spot that I was told was exposed roots and to just use sensitive toothpaste. After all these issues I went to a new dentist that told me on the x-ray it clearly showed a hole in that tooth that may be a cavity and if it got to the root I may need to have a root canal. Are you serious? This could have been prevented had Westerly Dental just bothered to check the problem. After this happened I found at least 6 other people that had major issues after going there. They are crocks who just take money from the insurance company and don't care about your teeth! read more
