December 29th i walked into western auto and explained i had a power steering high pressure hose leaking, and i needed a break job full set. Shop had one customer, and an empty bay. After waiting all day for info on my car, i called right before closing and hadnt gotten to my car( lady on the phone in the shop was talking to a friend on the phone about the friends car. [ i assume they worked their friends car before mine, and she wasnt even present.] Anyways. I get a call the next morning confirming my repair order. They finish in a couple hours and i come pick up my car for a price cheaper than my quote, but i didnt question it and paid ive been coming here for over 15 years. I get home park and have yo leave to the store later and i notice the same giant power steering leak puddle that was fresh. I head back up to western auto expecting my mechanics to have my back but to be greeted by a rude lady at front counter. I voice my frustrations at the situation and explaoned how daft it was replace my power steering pump when the hose was the part that was leaking. It was a steady drip falling right onto the pump itsself. If the mechanic would have inspected the repair he would have seen it. Mechanic comes out explaining hisself and the situation and couldnt justify why he didnt do the work i asked for other than to save me money. They couldnt fix their mistake and asked me to come bacm on new years day. I did and they were too booked to get me fixed on what was said was less than an hr job. No accountability, the front counter lady claimed i was cussing at her and even tried to tell me to take my business elsewhere. Its a shame the owner died because what we are left with is not western auto. This business will replace parts without your consent, and add work to a bill that was un needed. Ive had two issues in the last 12 months, and with my last visit they never gave my engine cover back. After speaking to them twice about my frustrations they would rather burn a bridge than fix a mistake they made. read more

It is so hard to find a place you feel like you can trust, especially when it comes to automotive repair. I try to fix anything I can at the "home garage," to avoid unnecessary expenses, whenever possible. The guys at Western Auto understand that and aren't just trying to make a quick buck. Having taken both of my vehicles there for stuff that's out of my league, I can honestly say that they've earned my trust and over the years have never over-sold or over-charged me. The locals say, 'go to Western Auto.' Now I understand why. I took my car here to replace a starter and had a normal experience. Okay, no big whoop. Then I needed a serpentine belt replaced. While they were replacing the belt, they noticed my alternator belt was seriously decrepit. They replaced the alternator belt right on the spot since the engine was already open. There was no charge for labor. Amazing. Who does this anymore? They just wanted me to ride safely. We will always take our cars to Western Auto. read more

I went into Western Auto to get an alignment for my car. After waiting for over an hour, they told me my car could not be aligned. Western Auto took it upon themselves to put my car on their rack, a service I did not ask for or request, to do an diagnosis of my car. After being there for over an hour, I had no alignment and a bill for $45.00 for their diagnosis fee. I did not ask for this service to be performed. BUYER BEWARE. These guys are dishonest and they do not tell you about any of their business practices before hand. Stay away from Western Auto. It is bad business to charge customers for services they do not ask for or request. read more

Right as I pulled into town, I discovered a a blown front ujoint on my Jeep. I was a tourist at the mercy of whatever garage I found. Luckily, I stumbled on this Western Auto. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They got me back on the road faster than their estimated time and cheaper than their initial estimate. I would recommend them to anyone. read more
