No sitting in classes for two days straight ( you can choose it but the binary one is better ) or you can do the first part online *. Each section completed you must do the exam - passing mark is 80. if you failed, you just redo the section. The second day is a review of the first day and you do hands on CPR . The instructor makes sure you understand it and can do it . Pretty basic and easy. I liked the online course because 1. you can always go back to do a refresher or go over something if you need to. 2. You can do it any time as long as you complete it before the class . If you dont , then you do not get certified. I have had previous classes that were boring or the instructor just did not engage the class. My instructor ( sorry i forgot his name ) was really good with us and made it fun . I really got more out of this class than any other . As for the price for the class, it was reasonable and they did not make you buy books or kits - although the kits are handy, you can probably make your own for a lot less. There is plenty of parking in the back and the front - make sure you park in the designated spots or you could be towed. So if you live on the south side of Edmonton and looking for a good class in First Aid , I would suggest checking these guys out.

It's been 3 years since my last CPR training. My certificate will expire…read more Time for recertification. I chose the same class mainly because it's walking distance from my house. It's also inexpensive. With a different instructor, I had a much better experience this time. 9 students made up the class. It went fairly quickly. I was only taking the CPR/AED portion from 9:00 am -3:00pm. Everyone else stayed until 5:00 pm to take the first aide section. Many will return for a second day of first aide training. It's very flexible, depending on your needs. Adequate breaks. Ample Q and A. Do not park in the business lot. It is monitored for a 2 hour time limit. Park on 79 Ave just off 104 street which is the little road North of Save On Foods.

I would do that but for my work I have to take the two-day in person. Some of the material was dry but the instructor did a good job of teaching it. I was nervous about having to actually act out some of the scenarios and perform CPR on the dummies but it went well and it was a very supportive environment.
