My friend wasn't drinking for the month of January, so good thing they have NA beverages here. I also think their happy hour at Torch starts at 5, but I'm not too sure of how often this rooftop bar is open. Anyway, we sipped, we painted and we listened to music. My friend and I were also sitting outdoors on this rainy evening, but the rooftop was covered and the heated lights were in full effect. This sip n paint wasn't one where they gave instruction. Instead, they had drawings of artists like Nipsey Hussle, Aaliyah, TLC, Tupac, etc. I got lucky with the last Chris Brown one, but it was a hard decision between him and Nip. I opted not to mess up Nip. RIP. Now, for the food I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't know what to expect, though I knew they were serving food. You wanna know what it was? Gumbo! The gumbo was smackin. Only $20 and I ate about half, saving the rest for later. I didn't stay for the fashion show, but it was a packed event that started to gain more of an audience after 9pm once the sip n paint was over. Based on this experience, we will not be collaborating with her on future events. On the last project we did together the court ruled in her favor, largely because we were the ones who drafted the contract (rookies) that's exactly what the judge said. However, there is plenty of evidence showing that the terms of the contract were not fully completed. It is also true that several of our vendors expressed difficulty working with you, along with others involved in the project. If you would like any proof to support this, there's plenty.

I got a text reminder about my appointment for today and texted to confirm, and got a text as a response. The lights just went up today - the guys showed up well within the time window, did an incredible job and were very nice and so efficient and meticulous in placement. I'm not sure why their work is so undervalued that people think a few hundred dollars in price increase for bigger houses is outrageous - they do crazy things, they're up on roofs, up trees. After all, you're quite literally booking a service that you refuse or cannot do yourself.. just something to ponder. People come to Yelp, more often than not, to provide a one-sided account of a story and give a bad review. I try to counter this and make sure to leave reviews of any good, great and excellent experiences - businesses big and small need this! I'm not sure whether people will find this relevant somehow but we have a metal roof and we have had gutter cleaning companies back out of working on our roof claiming it felt dangerous because of the slanted angles and slippery, so I was ready to be disappointed. Nope - the guys from Jack Frost had zero complaints and were in a great mood throughout the 4 or 5 hours they were at my house.

They Also said we needed new lights. Bought them from them last year. I was in shock more than anything. Wasn't trying to be rude, but I'm sure it came across that way. Was then told by Chris that he would never let me speak to his daughter that way let alone his new assistant just doing her job. I get that, but how about know who your customer is given you are in the customer service business. Needless to say, he offered to do the install this year, but never again. No thanks. They've promised to drop my lights off tomorrow. We'll see if that actually happens. I've never made a review on Yelp before. Also told me I am one of his most discounted customersand that his average customer spends $4k a year. I don't know who those people are, but I wish I could afford $4k. Told me inflation was 18%. Great, so should have been an extra $60. Enough said. Not happy with the Owner. Their guys who do the install are great and I always tip them, but I don't need to be lectured by someone when I am the customer.
