I especially like that for special events, there can be a curated pre-show of interviews and related ads (i.e. - vintage tie-in toy ads for the Star Wars shows). Some of the standout special events we've attended over the years have been: the world premier of Women Talking with a talk by the director, a silent film festival with an expert speaker and a live pianist to play the accompanying music, series marathons (Lord of The Rings and StarWars), a Mama Mia sing-along (I can't remember if that was a planned event or just happened organically), and The Rocky Horror Picture Show with costumes encouraged (like any good RHPS showing there was excellent audience participation). The popcorn is always hot and fresh. Fair notice, it's an old theatre with old theatre seats (my husband always brings a cushion). The parking lot can be a bit chaotic but I find that part of the charm. There's plenty of street parking in the neighborhood.

Plush fabric seats, no cup holders, and no stairs, just the good old slanty floor. Same goes for the concession stand. Very simple, and quite affordable, with lots of unique options like artisan popcorn. I went to Hyland to see the Kill Bill Vol 1 & 2 double feature. What a treat! Thankfully we purchased our tickets online through their paypal system because it was buuuusy! Almost completely full! They have a retro night called "Retromania" which this event was a part of. There was a lot of parking in the back but it was full when we arrived. Thankfully there is a lot of parking on the streets nearby. It was a bit unfortunate that they started a half an hour late but with a line up out the door, GO HYLAND GO! We didn't get out of there until 2:30 or so. Thankfully they kept the concession stand open between the films and they sell coffee and tea. I had a blast at Hyland and I definitely want to catch more films there! Bought our tickets online and liked the reserved seating so we didn't have to show up super early to get a good seat. There was ample free parking on the 5th level of the parking structure which lead right into the theatre. Once inside, I was thoroughly impressed by the amazing leather reclining seats! So much leg room and even with the chair fully reclined, people could still walk by without grazing their ass on your face! And there is zero chance of someone kicking or vibrating the back of your chair with their feet...big PLUS here! Also was a big fan of the larger seats which provided a nice distance of personal space to the person sitting next to you. So comfy, I almost fell asleep! Regular ticket price was $13 which is a bargain compared to Cineplex VIP theatres, where the seats don't even recline! I shall return Imagine Cinemas...definitely a VIP experience without the price! I can never go back to the tightly packed, snug Cineplex seating.

Popcorns everywhere!…read more Landmark Cinemas in south London provided a good movie experience. It featured 8 theatre rooms within a colourful retro interior. There is a concession immediately past the entrance and large popcorn refill for their members and they were willing to provide smaller bags. The actual movie audio/visual experience was great. The big screen is huge compared to smaller independent theatre chains (Imagine), and has no reflective glare for better picture quality. The reclined lounge seats are comfortable and make for decent view even near the front. Interestingly, we noticed there were premiere seats with recliners paired side-by-side within a partition for couples viewing. Their Movie Club membership included a movie admission each month, concession discount and waived online booking fee. Only blemish was the popcorn spread over the concession floor that no one seemed to be assigned to sweep away. A seating area is available to wait before showtime as staff cleaned up the theatre room. Skip it or hit it? It's worth coming for a comfortable movie showing especially if you overlook the popcorn strewn over the floor.

This was right next to the doors. There is one set of doors to the outside, and then another set of doors to the theatre. They shut the doors to the outside but not the ones to the hallway, where there is a light. Luckily I had a hoodie on so I could hide the light that was coming in from the left side of my peripheral vision. Now this is a huge nit pick but if you are easily distracted like I am, this may not be a great experience. Nonetheless, the seats are just as amazing as all the reviews say. Comfy and recline-y. They go way back and you can put your feet up no problem with tons of room to spare for people to walk by. All and all, I would give this theatre a shot if you haven't. It isn't what it used to be! Today, was our first time at Clovermead. It has been recommended to us by multiple friends. We have been to many farms around Ontario and even as adults we enjoyed ourselves! Before we came I reached out to them as my youngest one is a full-time wheelchair user and they were super kind by email and informed me they accept Access 2 card. That helped! As this meant that we only had to pay for 4 admissions and I was free as my daughter's caretaker. We decided to keep the wheelchair at home after seeing some photos online of the roads, we took the wagon instead. I highly recommend taking a wagon or a stroller! This is a big farm. You will do a lot of walking. Some of the things about this place : - Lots of shade, lots of benches and seating areas to rest in the shade for anyone. - Lots of bathrooms can be found around the farm, including a small house that was made for privacy for anyone wanting to breastfeed their baby or change a diaper. The little house had two chairs, a change table and a nice size bench by the window if you had a oldest child you needed to change. I thought that was a nice touch to the farm. It is labelled on the map! - The staff were very friendly and helpful. - The food we grabbed for lunch, service was quick and everyone was happy with their meal. Kids meals were under $10.00( they had chicken strips and burger option), Adult meals were $10+ ( burgers, chicken wrap, chicken sandwich). The kids loved the honey lemonade with the Popsicle inside. - We also got some ice cream at the end of the day and had funnel cake that was $8.00 each. - They had a splash pad, pretty decent size. We did not end up using it as it was too cold out and our kids found they were too occupied with everything else. They had nice size private individual change rooms right next to the splash pad. Also saw a change table in the biggest one. - They had many animals through out the farm to visit and feed. - They took debit or credit only! There was no cash option! -The gift shop was a nice size, you can sample 3 of your choice of honey flavours, that was a fun experience for the kids. - Lots of other cool mazes, climbing things, games and things I never seen at other farms that you just need to discover for yourself! The staff at Strokers are excellent and everyone is welcome there, and many people from many different nationalities and walks of life play there - what it boils down to is that you had a chip on your shoulder and instead of just accepting the staffs request you decided to take offense and then double down on that, saying it was due to race - and that is just disgusting. I've admittedly made indiscretions of my own at times and have been reminded by staff of rules and ettiquette, as have many players - all you had to do was be polite and accepting instead of taking it personal - maybe you should reflect on your own actions of Saturday night - you ruined the night for yourself, your friends and frankly for staff who work very hard for the patrons and deserve better. Players such as Brian Campbell, Andy McDonald, Logan Couture and Matt Read either played for or against Ilderton over the years. Ilderton is in the heart of hockey country, developing hockey players from the age they can skate into adult hockey leagues. - curling The arena is actually a twin pad with one side dedicated to curling much of the year. Several bonspiel winners have come from Ilderton over the years. - home of Ilderton Fall Fair The Fall Fair is 162 years old in 2013. It brings thousands to Ilderton over a 4 day event annually. - home of Ilderton Community Centre The community centre shares a parking lot with the Arena and the Royal Canadian Legion. This was made famous by CTV and CBC's news coverage during the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. Come on over and enjoy yourself in this wonderful slice of semi-rural Canada.
