This is a frisbee golf course about an hour from Tahoe, and it's fantastic!…read more Located in the middle of nowhere at the end of a few miles of dirt road, you'll find this beautiful course carved out on a high hill. The Toneys built the whole 18 hole course up themselves in the last few years on their property, and the whole thing is irrigated with well water pumped by solar power. Most of the course is flat, while there are about four "bowl holes" that take you down and out of a valley, including one with a 250 ft. drop. Fortunately there's not too much brush, so you'll probably be able to find your disc when it goes astray. Camping here was great too. The plots are spread out, and it's not crowded. You can rent one of their spacious teepees for $30, and swim in their kind of icky yet refreshing pool with the frogs and water skippers. The Toneys were great hosts, and went golfing with us.

It felt safe and was enjoyable to walk the trails. Easy parking and the parking lot was free from creepy people at least when I was there (another issue at many parks/rec areas these days). They have plenty of benches to either read or enjoy your lunch. I went today to walk and enjoy the sunshine. TOTALLY safe by myself! They have bochii ball, disc park, basketball court, outdoor skating area, fenced dog park, etc. They also have a large covered area with picnic tables and grills. The park has 2 separate fenced areas with slides and other fun things for the kiddos. I noticed there is several public restrooms throughout the park There is also a renovated baseball field inside the park. There is a pond and most of the walking trails are pretty flat and easy to walk. I love to come here and throw a Frisbee or just chill under one of the massive trees that are all around the park. Centrally located. And close to everything. So quiet in the mornings! This is my happy place to relax!

Also, They have cold beverages, really cold beverages. (That was really appreciated after I ran out of water) I personally didn't talk to them too much today, but they were nice and efficient. We really wanted to do loop walk, but never actually found that trail. I would want to give 4.5 if you could give half points, because more signage is needed to direct people toward the nature center and specific trails. It's very useful and I love to see a lot of people be utilizing it. The park is clean and maintained and every time I have visited there have been a lot of people walking or playing with their dogs and children playing and riding bicycles. This is a great spot for a picnic or a walk or just to sit in the shade and relax. It also has one of those tiny free libraries in case you want to grab a book and just read for a while. They have two picnic tables, one on each side of the park and a water bottle refilling station. Even though it's a small park, I came here many times when I was in the area I would love to give it five stars but there is no restroom here and I saw lots and lots of people not picking up after their dogs. So walking in the beautiful green grassy area can be kind of a mind field. . Oh and they also have a couple of disc golf stations but I don't play and I never saw anyone using them just in case that helps.

But the trail for golf seems over grown and very full of weeds and stickers that will attach to fluffy dogs if not careful. There were about 5 cars that looked like either someone was living in or very broken down. There were two people who were enjoying their day with chairs and their dogs off leash but didn't bother myself or my dog. It's a decent park and if you have kids the play ground looked fun!
