Normally, we love Julieta's because of the good food & live music. Today however, we tried one of their "new wood fire pizzas" & I couldn't believe what they served us-pure charcoal. The waitress took it back once I showed her the bottom, but it never should have made it to our table to begin with. They replaced it, but that was also disappointing. Bland & completely lacking flavor. I am glad they took it off our bill, but they've got some work to do before continuing to serve pizzas. read more

While in the Clarksburg area, my wife and I decided to try a few wineries, including Julietta. On the Thursday we visited, the place was empty. They offer both inside and patio seating, which offers a view of their vineyards. Although they are a very small winery, the grounds are beautiful and well designed. The tasting fee is $15.00 a person, which they will waive $10. of on the purchase of a bottle. We chose to only taste the reds, which were overall good, but very pricey. Given that the wine industry is struggling, it is very frustrating to see prices remaining high. That said, because of the unique nature and flavor profile of the Montepulciano, we purchased a bottle. Overall it was an "OK" experience, but the price point is a turn off. Lastly, they do offer food, which is a nice option for a winery. I wish them success in the future. read more

This place is cozy the views are fantastic and the service is amazing. I love when wineries offer food. My friend and I split the tomato bruschetta along with the turkey avocado BLT. Both dishes were delicious and good portions. We both enjoyed wine flights with our food. I rather white wines and this winery offers more red but it did not take away from the experience. As someone who works in customer service, lives in the delta, and used to work at local winery I try to give a lot of allowances for "off days". We all have them. But, the service we received was horrible. We had a reservation and checked in. Nothing was setup (even though they confirmed our reservation) we were previously at Scribner Bend and they had a table ready for us in the shade with water. They were extremely rude upon check in. Once we finally got seated we had to wait literally 50 minutes for someone to take our order. No apologies for the wait. Nothing. Two people from our party walked and we asked "would it make it easier if we ordered inside?" Trying to make it easy for the server. We're told "we will get to you when we can" even though the other people sitting next to us ordered inside. Upon ordering they were out of something and she didn't suggest anything else or even apologize for that. We had to get our own water. She seemed very annoyed we were there. She did check in twice but within 10 minutes then we never saw her again. We had no idea how to check out. We assumed the table since that's how she took our order. Then were told by the party next to us we have to do it inside. My total was a little over $20. She saw me pull out a $20 and said very rudely "just give me that" There were no apologies. No welcomes. No smiles. 4 of our party were from Sacramento and they all voiced how they will never return. The band was great. Cute environment. Nice wine. I recently had a wonderful experience at Juliana Winery. It all started when I met two strangers at an open house for the Courtyard Marriott. They were cancer survivors and mentioned meeting at a winery afterward. They invited me to join their table at the open house, and we became fast friends. They then invited me to enjoy a wine tasting at Juliana Winery, and I went along. The wine was very good, and I especially enjoyed the port wine out of all the tastings. They gave a flight of four wines. Lori, who was a member of the wine club, ensured that all the tastings were complimentary. She even bought a bottle of champagne and asked for my preference. I told her I liked sweet wines, and the port was unexpectedly sweet, sweetened with dates. I would definitely get the port again or even buy a bottle to have at home for cooking or desserts. Lisa and Larry assisted us, and they were extremely nice. I'd definitely come back and visit when the opportunity presents itself. There's lots of seating, but since October is still summer for us, I sat inside until fall actually arrives. They even have kittens inside, and a patio if you want to bring your dog. This winery is so nice, it has several patios and a large lawn area. A lovely place to sip a glass of their delicious wine watch the sunset. There is an outdoor covered patio with plenty of heaters to use on chilly days. You can bring your own picnic or order from their menu. We had the burrata which I highly recommend. Their sandwiches are also delicious. Their tasting room is large with plenty of seating and a fireplace. They are dog friendly, we had our golden retriever inside on a leash. Our furry friends are allowed outside on the gravel area but not on the lawn. Since it is a winery I should mention the wine selection, we enjoyed the 2022 GRENACHE and the 2022 MONTEPULCIANO. You can have tasting of four wines, a glass or order a bottle. Well worth a visit, if you like a live band check out their website and see what they have coming up. The male server was awkward, condescending and made so many mistakes with our orders. 4 of us ordered soup, and we had to ask for a spoon to eat it. After we asked, he seemed put out at our request and rolled his eyes. At this point we are all feeling that this is a very unpleasant and uncomfortable experience. It really is too bad because it is such a cute place with lots of potential. The food we had was decent and the wine was just okay. While wine tasting for my birthday, my husband, and I decided to come to Julietta winery. We had our two dogs with us and we were glad that they were dog-friendly, however, had pretty stringent restrictions as to where you could sit if you had a dog with you. We ended up sitting in some gravel away from a lot of the noise and commotion. They had a live band playing, which was nice, albeit the volume could have been turned down a little bit. My husband and I practically had to shout to have a conversation with each other. This is a winery and not a music venue. Our waitress was kind but not very attentive and we were often having to flag her down or go find her to get a refill on our wine or place an order for a bite to eat. All in all decent winery down in the Delta, but not at the very top of my list of spots to visit. read more

To celebrate his birthday, a friend of mine invited my wife and I for wine tasting at Julietta Winery located in Clarksburg. When we arrived, we heard what sounded like a really lit (that's what the young kids are saying now) party. Upon entering the outdoor portion of the winery, we observed a live band playing some good tunes + folks on the "dance floor" joyfully grooving and singing along. When we spotted my friend and his wife, we sat at their table and awaited a server. Shortly after arriving, the server greeted us and took our orders. We both ordered white wine flights (2018 Blanc de Noir, 2021 Pino Grigio, 2020 Sauvignon Blanc, and 2017 Chardonnay) and panini sandwiches (drinking on an empty stomach is no bueno!). When our flights arrived, we immediately dove in so that we could get caught up with our friends. Our first observation was how small the wine pours were, only 1 ounce per glass (as stated on the menu). In addition, aside from the 2018 Blanc de Noir sparkling wine (which is hard to mess up), the remaining three options were lackluster (lacking flavor). Thankfully, the delicious sandwiches, outdoor party vibe, and the company of our friends made up for the unmemorable wine. We stopped here for the night as Harvest Host members. We arrived overheated from our bike ride, it was 95°. The winery is set amongst beautiful, mature trees and we immediately cooled off. We ordered white wine, a wine slushie and a charcuterie box. All delicious and reasonably priced. We are from Paso Robles and have access to hundreds of wineries and Julietta is a new favorite. I had booked an online reservation for my 30th birthday and they accommodated. Upon our arrival, there was a check in area right outside with no one manning the station. We had to wait a few moments before we were greeted and once we were the last didn't even acknowledge my reservation or my birthday. Once seated menus were dropped off and the lady let us know someone would be with us soon, but she sounded rushed and irritated. Since I had breakfast much earlier in the day I decide to also try some food. Thai basil soup - 8/10 great flavors and nicely sized pieces of chicken. perfect spice level, just didn't come out piping hot pizza panini - 6/10 great flavor, very heavy with the cheese and pepperoni. all contents aside from the pepperoni were hot which was a little interesting. came with a house salad and a sweet and fruity and dressing. We also sat near some bushes that were covered with bees and some wasps, I recommend sitting away from all the bushes. I loved their reds & their port. One of the best ones I've had. Con: I could not believe how minimal they were their portions were I couldn't believe it just seems to be very stingy of them for how expensive their wine is. The frosé had no flavor at all. It tasted sour and icy. I've had far better frosé with better flavors. Our server was just awkward with us when we told her that the frosé wasn't good I didn't find their staff friendly at all. Would I come here again? Maybe. But bogle is right down the road and you can get a BOTTLE for 10$! They have an offering of their own wines and other wineries wines on menu, so it's like going to a tap house. We had a fancy picnic at Julietta Winery. In order to have the picnic, we had to buy two bottles which was fine with us. The only thing that I wished they allowed us to do was order wine tasting flights.
