I had reserved a King room about a month ago. I checked my IHG app when I was 30 minutes away to…read morefind it had been changed to a single queen room. I called the hotel to be told they had overbooked the hotel and had to move people around and they couldn't help me. Through the IHG app I contacted customer service and they verified they could see on the hotels computer system I had booked a king room and they would contact the hotel directly to correct the matter. Upon arrival I checked in to find out they had not talked IHG customer service and said they had not king room for me. I told them I was calling customer service back and then the clerk mysteriously found me a room. The hotels website stated it offered a free breakfast, but upon arrival we were told they weren't honoring that anymore and it would be $14.95 each. Upon entering the room I noticed holes in the carpet, the room smelled musty, and the surface of the tub was peeling off in large pieces. When I went to shower at 10:30 pm there was no hot water. I phoned the desk 3 times and no one answered, a voice mail would eventually pick up saying it was full and not receiving messages. I went down to the desk and was told, "it (the hot water) worked fine last week, no one else has complained." I was then told the hotel was full land she couldn't do anything about it. I asked if there was anywhere else in the hotel I could possibly shower and was told no. I stated I didn't think I should have to pay for a hotel room that didn't have hot water and was told I could check out if I wanted. (At this point it's 11 pm!) I said that wasn't a realist option and she said she would give me 10,000 points (which I have yet to receive.) No one ever came and checked on the hot water. The next night we had slightly warm water probably because it was hot outside. I do have to say the cleaning staff was very nice and polite and the mattress was comfortable.

There was dirt on the floor and it was so grimy that the child's feet were black from walking on it. It smelled badly and there were cobwebs everywhere. The toilet had a ring around the bowl and the shower walls had layers of soap and grime on them. several of the electrical outlets did not work. The lobby closed up with the windows covered and you check in through a little roll out window. There are only 4 motels in the area and this was our only choice. I would be so embarrassed to be known as the owner/manager of such a place, especially one charging such a high room rate for rooms as nasty as these are.

She thoroughly scrutinized them, then asked me to verbally clarify a couple of points about my address. Then asked for my phone number! There was a gentleman hanging out at the desk that had been chatting with her when I arrived who stood by and listened to the whole exchange. It was upsetting. I am a solo female traveller. It's really not a good reflection of the brand. First impression, had to wait more than 10 minutes to check in because there was no staff to be found. Once an attendant did show up there was no apology for our wait and she was on a call on her EarPods during our check-in. A few of us were waiting. The lobby had dirty walls, furniture and ceiling that was water damaged. Second impression, our bathroom floor was soaked from a leaky shower head. Room walls were disgusting with marks everywhere and wallpaper was ripped in many places. Furniture outdated and bed super uncomfortable (cheap and bouncy). Only saving grace was clean sheets. Lasting impression, three different groups waiting for the elevator for what seemed like forever in the hot hallway on the 4th floor because there was only one working elevator. People were riding it up just to ride it down because it was taking that long. Other couples noted how it was worse the other days. Recommendation: Do not stay here. It's not worth the money. The service, comfort, and cleanliness were all a miss.
