Sprayed my garden with pesticides even though they were in black grow bags and pots. Destroyed all my plants and had to toss over 70 tomatoes because tech can't tell the difference between a tomato plant and a bush. My family has lived in Absecon NJ for 17 years, and with the exception of a few short springtime invasions of "after-the-rain" ants, we've never had reason to call pest control... until 2021. I had a yearly service. At the end of the service, I got a bill for the next year $100 more than I was told. So I called And asked to schedule my last service. Since I hadn't renewed they refused to do it because they didn't have any appointments available before the contract ended IN 10 days. I cancelled. read more

Western Pest Service came into my house to spray for ants. The technician moved my refrigerator away from the wall after I told him not to. He damaged my kitchen floor by putting a hole in the linoleum. Called the company manager to complain only to get laughed at and hung up on. Contacted the Better Business Bureau about them, and BBB closed out the complaint before Western made the repairs. Now I have a hole in my kitchen floor and Western believes that they got away with it. Nice company. read more

Don't. I signed a one year contract to take care of our wasp and carpenter bee issues. We saw no improvement. In addition to this, I was told face to face that I was signing a contract for one-year and there was no obligation to renew. After the first year I had zero interest in renewing, but was automatically charged for the second year because I did not call to cancel. I went back to check the contract, and there it was in the fine print. I'm feeling ripped off and deceived by this company. read more

The first time I used Western I took a half day off from work and the technician showed up very late past the scheduled time, which was a waste of a half of day from work. He didn't call to let me know he was running late. Once he finally got to my home, he ran out of chemicals to treat the mosquitos. I watched him as he looked through a bunch of empty containers. he tried to play it off and stir water into a teaspoon of chemical. I called and complained to no avail. Another time he came, he claimed the dog was in the yard and left without treating my property, which wasn't true. My dog is never outside without me, so needless to say the dog was in the house, because I wasn't home. I don't know how he couldn't tell the difference between a dog barking outside and a dog barking from inside. SMH! On another occasion, I was scheduled from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and again the technician was running late. He didn't call, so I wanted to reschedule. I called the office and Lori told me she would call me the next day to reschedule. I waited and waited until 4:50 p.m. then I called them. Lori was very rude and basically giving me attitude, because she kept trying to reschedule on days it was suppose to rain. This company is very unprofessional, and will never use them again. Do NOT use this company! I called them about a meal moth problem. The guy came to my house and put out a few traps and said he would come back in 2 to 4 days to see how they were working. A couple of days later someone else came and said he was here to put down traps. The traps he had were for mice not moths! He acted very confused and left. I waited and waited for them to contact me to no avail. I texted the original guy who laid the first traps and he said that he only does the first visit. He came in gave me a bill for $450 plus tax laid the traps and left. After a few phone calls and texts they made another appointment (I had to take a half day off work) to be at my house between 2&4 I agreed even though I had an appointment for 4:30 because the first time only took a few minutes. Well the guy showed up at 4:15 No phone call to say he was running late or anything. I couldn't let him do it because I would have been late for my appointment. I told him in no uncertain terms what I thought about his lack of professionalism and called the office to complain yet again. I want my money back! I paid $450 for a yearly contract and got one day of service. I don't want to use them if they're not going to sho up and honor they're commitments If you're having a problem with pests do not call them because you will be adding one more pest to your problem. I gave them one star because they didn't have anything lower. I would like to have given them a -10! read more

I have used Western for a long time, but lately no one answers the phone when you call. You must leave a message and wait for a return call the following morning. I have played phone tag many times. What has happened to so many businesses that there are no live answers anymore? I guess businesses are trying to save money, but I will take my business elsewhere.
