I have been banking with USalliance for 6 years and i have to be honest. The savings and checking rates offer higher APR, you can also get credit cards, my favorite is the 12 month certificate of deposits which provide a lot of bang for your dollar. The standard savings account offers a high yoeld savings rate, currently paying 3.053%. They have an actual brach in the Bronx, but i dont mind banking online and over mail when necessary. I have my entire family banking with them, most people dont even know about them. You dont loose anything by checking them out usalliance.org The customer service is veey good, attentive and they are thorough when dealing with customer over the phone. I will say that they should allow customers to conduct large dollar amount transfers from one bank to another, they have a cap at $5k. Trying to put a down payment on a car for $8k and they would not make an exception for me as a long time customer. Had to do 2 different transactions to complete the down payment. They told me to goto the branch and get a cashier check but that defeats the online services. The other option is to pay a fee $35 and tou can make a transaction for whatever dollar amount you want. My other bank does not charge a fee to transfer in between banks or accounts and i am able to transfer without ANY fees.

Here are some highlights of my experience: Eli is very knowledgable and is able to explain everything easily so that people like me who feel like taxes are a foreign language can understand. I came in assuming I was going to owe so much bc I had no idea what I was doing or how taxes even worked.. but Eli answered all of my questions with patience even though I know I was probably asking the same question over & over lol. Now for 2019 I will not be stressed! Eli also shed some light on things I had no idea about like how putting money in an IRA can really help to save on how much I owe in taxes, and how I need to go ahead & pay estimated taxes twice a year, and other business related matters that as business owner i needed to know & did NOT beforehand. During the whole process I felt like I was inconveniencing the tax woman. She was rolling her eyes and was sighing throughout the entire filing. Had an attitude and was even banging the keyboard. I filed my taxes last year here as well and the lady up front was treating me as if I was lying to her. I work around the corner from this location and because of its location so close to work, I would've returned next year. However, the attitude from staff make you feel like you're stepping into the DMV or a Government Assistance agency. I won't be returning next year or filing ever again with H&R Block. Time to search for a professional tax preparer.

My tax "pro," Eileen, arrived 15 minutes late. Her bedside manner was awful, and as someone else said, she acted inconvenienced to talk to me. She said she could not tell me a price for my return until she was done, but I needed to decide right then if I was going to do it to avoid "wasting her time." She obviously has serious issues and should not be in any sort of customer service position. Avoid her and this place at all costs!!!
