**Zero stars, do not recommend** I am not one to typically review a business but sadly when the experience is as bad as mine, a person has no choice because I'd like this to be a warning to others. My husband has been a customer of Westgate Jeep since he was in his mid 20s. He has owned four different vehicles from the dealership so I felt fairly confident purchasing my Wagoneer from them. Unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of atrocious. Last spring I bought a brand new Wagoneer from Westgate and within a month I began to have issues. Since then it has been in the shop no less than 7 times in one year for repeated issues. Each time I would pick it up, they would inform me that "they couldn't replicate the issue" but they completed a software update so everything should be fine. I began having the same issues weeks later. With every visit I received absolutely no communication from the service department about the status of my vehicle. Days would go by and I would call for status updates only be told they hadn't looked at my vehicle yet with the promise they would call as soon as they had more information. I have never received an update from Westgate. I had to repeatedly reach out to my service rep Jason for any information. He would promise to call me back and yet never did! My vehicle would be in the shop for a week at a time with no communication. It also wouldn't matter who you called because no one from Westgate will return your calls. Now let's talk about the main reason I am writing this review. In July, my Wagoneer began shutting down while I was driving. Losing power steering, the entire system resetting, error codes galore! I couldn't make a 20 minute drive without it shutting down at every stoplight. I took it to Westgate and long story short - they had my SUV for four weeks. At no point in time did anyone from the service department ever call me to share what was being done. After two weeks of no communication, I opened a case with Stellantis. It was at that point that they became involved in resolving the issues. Apparently, Westgate flew four engineers out several times to work on my vehicle. I spoke with service managers. I spoke with sales managers. I spoke with reps at Stellantis. I inquired about buyback programs. I was even going to involve legal. Again, a $70,000 SUV, one year-old with less than 12,000 miles on it and I was getting no communication from anyone about the work being performed on my vehicle. After being without my car for a month I finally reached my rep Jason, who informed me that my vehicle was in fact ready to be picked up that evening. My husband stopped by and asked for all of the paperwork so we would have a record of what was performed over the previous four weeks . Jason didn't have any documentation ready. He honestly seemed annoyed that we would even ask and expect him to have that prepared at the time of pick-up. He apparently could not produce that paperwork quickly. It would take him several hours to get all that documentation to us so he promised he would reach out to us the following week so we could come pick it up. This dealership had my car for a month, made repairs that required engineers, essentially rewired my vehicle (according to Jason) and replaced the auxiliary battery and at no point in time did anyone document all the work that was being done. It's been almost 4 weeks- We've spoken to the dealership 3 different times and we still do not have a single piece of documentation about what work was done. My husband even tried to contact the service manager and even he did follow up with us. Stellantis is trying to compensate me and have me sign legal documents absolving them of liability and yet I still don't even know what work was performed on my vehicle. DO NOT buy a vehicle from Westgate. I don't know that I would recommend you buy a Jeep from any dealership in Raleigh because my experience with all of them hasn't been great. Heck, I don't know that I would recommend you buy any Jeep product at this point! This is our family's 5th Jeep and I can confidently say it is our LAST. This is a company that has decided they want to enter the luxury market with the price point of their large SUV and yet there is nothing from their customer service that can justify spending this amount of money. I gave Westgate Jeep a second chance after being frustrated with previous experiences involving poor service, incomplete work, and unprofessional staff. Unfortunately, I regret returning. I purchased a prepaid oil-change special and was told no appointment was necessary, so I arrived when they opened at 7:30 a.m. The dealership's internet was not working, which made it difficult to work while I waited. When I asked Jason at the service desk about the issue, he simply said well it's down and didn't even offer to check to see what the problem might be. After about 90 minutes, I asked for an update on my car and received no meaningful status or estimated completion time. My vehicle was finally ready close to 10:00 a.m. The biggest issue occurred at checkout. I was told there would be a surcharge for using a credit card, so I used my debit card. Despite using a debit card and entering my PIN, the system charged me the surcharge anyway. I noticed the discrepancy and questioned Jason, who argued with me saying I used a credit card and insisted I contact my bank rather than taking responsibility for investigating the issue. My bank confirmed the transaction was in fact a debit transaction. I repeatedly tried to resolve the issue with the dealership. I was told to contact Brad, a manager apparently responsible for multiple stores, but he was never available. Eric the phone rep, later told me I would receive a credit for the surcharge, but that never happened. I ultimately had to dispute the charge with my bank. BEWARE OF THIS SCAM !!! The service was slow, communication was poor, and the response to a billing issue was argumentative and dismissive. The staff did not give me confidence that customer concerns were taken seriously, and there appeared to be no effective way to reach management when a problem arose. I have had excellent experiences with Hillsborough Jeep, where the customer service is significantly better. In particular, "V" at Hillsborough Jeep demonstrates how customers should be treated. I suggest Brad reach out to Hillsborough Jeep to learn how to improve as a manger and how to do a better job training his staff. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Westgate Jeep. read more

Ernest Green is a good salesperson. I'd buy from him again. Not at Westgate, no chance! Bought used Jeep Compass Latitude Lux. 5 safety failures occurred as I drove off the lot (all indicated by Console errors and lights). This after a perfect 30 minute test drive. Short story... the dealership had the vehicle for nearly 12 weeks. Would not communicate with me. The Sales Manager, Chris Vollmer, refused to communicate with me for weeks despite dealership VMs, cell VMs, and cell texts. Had to involve Jeep Corporate. Vehicle was returned to me with three of the same problems occurring within 3 days of return. I WOULD NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH WESTGATE AGAIN. They service practices are opaque and fraudulent in my opinion. They refused to communicate with me for weeks on end. They still owe me significant repair documentation for my new dealership. Here's the icing on the cake. Despite specifically requesting to speak with the GM, the Sales and Service managers' manager,s and the owner, I was completely ignored or denied. Headed to arbitration. Unfairly treated, horrible (as in no) Customer Service, and even Jeep Corporate had trouble motivating them. Despite the request for management contact to Jeep Corporate, the dealership continues to refuse. Wish I'd never heard of Westgate. Not to be trusted!!!! I bought their courtesy vehicle with less than 15000 miles and was never titled to anyone before me. This was considered a new vehicle purchase even with the mileage. Being a new vehicle there would be no Carfax report on it. Well, this car was in an accident while in their possession and was never disclosed to me. How I know this is the repair is failing. Called them today and more or less what they said was "how can you prove that it was us". Well, I can't other than I DID NOT HAVE AN Accident with my car. However, after choosing not to purchase additional recommended services and only paying for tire rotations, I was informed that a note had been placed in my file to void my Westgate for Life benefits. It's disappointing to see how poorly this situation was handled. The new management seems completely unconcerned with customer loyalty or satisfaction. After this experience, I will never purchase another vehicle from Westgate and strongly advise others to look elsewhere for their car-buying and service needs. The only word to describe our first and only experience with Westgate is AWFUL. We went to test drive an Acura that was seemingly well taken care of, as describe on their website. When we went to test drive the car we were met with a salesman who was less than Interested to sell this car, and the reason why... the smell! Getting in the car you were immediately met with an overpowering smell of something you can only describe as dying or already dead and body odor mixed in throughout. (So bad I had to throw up after) The salesman dismissed the smell and told us that we could fix it with deodorizer... if a car is sitting on your lot for a year I'd assume that would've already been taken care of. After the drive, we were handed the carfax which told us that this car had been through a bad accident (not disclosed prior on website or in person) and I assume that the miles were rolled back due to the fact that the transmission was going at very low mileage. read more

I truly am frustrated in the integrity this place has. I have only put 5k miles on the car since I bought it. I told the people as I was driving the brakes were weak. Took a month to fix it and see there were heat spots. Now the rear word ball joint is going loose that doesn't happen after 5k miles. Buyer beware - check for floor mats and 2 keys before you leave or you will be stuck with over $800 to get them yourself. I recently bought a used vehicle at the advertised price on line. I was showed pictures of the car (with mats), the window sticker (showing it was optioned with mats) and I was given the second key. I drove 2.5 hours to pick up this car. Upon arriving home, I noticed the floor mats were not secured. Why? That's because they had swapped out mats with a different car. Unsecured mats are a safety hazard as they can get stuck under the gas pedal. Also, I took out the second key and it does not work either. Took it to my local dealership and they said it's for another make of car and could not be programed to my car. Cost to replace and program ($632). Cost for mats $199. Of course, I contacted Braxton and asked them to correct this. I even offered to pay half. He declined, blaming it on his manager's decision and saying I had gotten a good deal on the car so they wouldn't do anything here. Technically, this car was used (Driven 1 month and had 900 miles on it), and so they think I should accept it as is. And generally I'd agree. except when you show me there are floor mats and give me a key, I'd expect those to be right. If you had told me up front - this is such a good deal, we are removing the mats and the second key, then at least I would have knowingly had to agree to it. Not cool. The lack of integrity is truly amazing. After 4 visits, Westgate's services department failed to fix a leak in my 2020 Ram 1500. They finally told me they would not replace the rear brake light (source of the leak) and that they would not try to fix it anymore. I went to an independent mechanic, who told me there was a service bulletin on this very issue. Chrysler would replace it for free. I went to a Mopar dealership and had it done. Why Westgate lied to me about this, I can only guess it was so that I would trade in the vehicle for a new one. $$$$$ I will never buy another car from Westgate. read more

He was very personable and easy to like he showed me some different cars and they're really wasn't any high-pressure sales techniques being used on me for the most part if everything goes well with this new purchase then I would definitely go back to him, but the buying process was pretty smooth and I really like that! Eric, the finance manager, he was a great dude as well! Hopefully the service department is as good as their sales department. If it is, I most definitely will go back there and get another car. Peter would not show any numbers on paper, threw out numbers out of the air and tried his best to get a signature to pull credit. If you are considering purchasing a vehicle, DO NOT USE WESTGATE IN RALEIGH! I have never felt so taken advantage of like this. My jeep decided to not start when Eric and I were about to head home. We had our son come to our location to jumpstart the battery, and then proceeded to the nearest Auto Sone to get the battery tested. The employee checked and the battery was perfect. Two days later the jeep decided not to start again, so Eric arranged for the Jeep to be looked at today. We dropped off the Jeep yesterday after tinkering to get it to start. Daniel calls me because I did not get the text saying it was the battery and they would replace it. Last time we had issues the error read "service charging system" error so I naturally did not believe his words. Daniel was very condescending when talking to me the entire call. I did find his text (delayed because I do work), only to find "Good morning, your vehicle is going to need a battery $377.52 with labor cost $199.95. Do you want us to proceed with repairs?" After chatting with Eric, i responded to Daniel saying go ahead. I get a later text stating the vehicle is ready. I had to go run an errand so Eric and Bryce go to pick up the vehicle. We figured the cost would be between $200-$400 because the dealership was doing the work. $650!!!! For a standard battery! The text above gave us the impression that the total would be under $400. Completely Unacceptable Service Experience - No Communication, No Accountability I rarely leave reviews, but this experience has been so frustrating and unprofessional that I feel obligated to speak up. My company vehicle has been at this dealership's service department for four days, and as of right now, I have no idea what the status is. There has been no diagnosis, no update, and no communication whatsoever from anyone at the dealership. I've called multiple times and left four voicemails for the assigned service advisor -- none of them have been returned. Not even a courtesy message to say, "We're still waiting on a tech," or "We haven't had a chance to look at it yet." Just complete radio silence. What's worse is that I've specifically requested to speak to a manager -- not once, but multiple times -- and no manager has reached out. At this point, it honestly feels like they've either forgotten the vehicle is there or just don't care enough to provide basic customer service. This isn't a personal vehicle that can sit idle -- it's a work vehicle, and every day without it affects my company's operations. We rely on that vehicle to do our job, and right now we're stuck with no answers, no timeline, and no sense of urgency from anyone at the dealership. I understand that shops get busy, and things can take time -- but the bare minimum is to communicate with your customers, especially when a vehicle has been in your care for several days. The lack of transparency, accountability, and follow-up is unacceptable. If someone from the dealership actually sees this, I'd appreciate a call or email immediately. The Car that I bought from Westgate runs fine. The Mopar warranty they sell is straight from hell. Mopar is a highly unethical company and I would strongly suggest that you not do business with them. I enrolled in their annual warranty program, with the provision that I could cancel at any time get the balance of my premium refunded, minus a $50 cancellation fee. I dutifully informed them after 6 weeks that the car I bought was running well and I no longer wanted the warranty. The gentleman on the phone explained to me exactly what I had to do and sen me a follow-up email regarding the same. I followed the instructions to the letter, checked, and re-checked, and then sent in what they had requested. I was supposed to receive my refund in 30 days. 30 days passed with no word from them. I waited a week and when I still heard nothing, I sent an email to the gentleman who I had first contacted. A week passed and I heard nothing from him. Over the course of the next 20 days I contacted the company every five days, adding more people to the correspondence in the hopes that somebody would respond to me. After the 53rd day, when no one responded I went to Linkedin, started getting the names of corporate executives, and figured out their email addresses. Then I issued the company a warning: if they ignored me any longer I would add five more executives names to my email request every day. With that finally some low-level secretary got in touch with me and then took another 3 days to explain why I had not received my refund. She said that I had done something wrong, upset their protocol. I carefully explained to her that I had not, sent her my documentation, showed that I followed exactly what they requested. To this she had no response. I suggested that she send me the refund overnight. She said no we can't do that, it'll be in 60 days. I wrote back and said you had better send it the next day. She wrote back and said she made an error she meant to say 21 days. I'm now on the 64th day, with no refund from this company. They're incompetence, is well as unethical behavior is so glaring, that I can tell you without reservation, it would be a major mistake if you do any business with this company whatsoever. It's your call, go ahead and sign up with them, if you think you're going to be one of the lucky ones. read more

Had my truck towed to Westgate service center on Friday at 1pm. Got a text saying they have the vehicle and will update me. Great! Every other service center at least diagnoses the problem the day you drop it off or at least gives you an update. Nothing. Not a word. I called a few times Friday and no update and they put me through to the service advisor and straight to his voicemail. So now its Saturday and the service center is open. I called 3 times in Saturday, texted, and then my last call someone said the main service center is closed on Saturdays? Says it's open everywhere on the internet. Cool. Monday comes and I figured I'd wait until late afternoon for a diagnosis, they at least will have that by now right? Nope, another advisor transfer straight to voicemail and a we have no update as of end of day Monday. How is the communication this horrendous? What is going on in this service center? read more

I had a routine service plus warranty work done at an appointment and everything was seamless. Very easy to get the vehicle in and out. The service people who helped me were all wonderful and very quick despite it being a holiday week. This was my first experience of the service department and will definitely be back for routine maintenance and for any other needs. Definitely recommend. The facility is super clean and the waiting area is spacious and has tables as well as a sitting area. read more

If I could give them negative stars I would. They sold me a 2017 Ford F150 on Sunday. They first tried to get me to pay for $799 on a Lojack system and "window Tinting". This price was not advertised and was above and beyond their advertised price. I am considering a complaint to DMV license and theft on that issue, but wait to gets worse. I told them no, and was going to walk until they agreed to not charge me for it (BTW, dealer cost on that unit is $80 and there was no tint applied to the truck). We drove the truck 25 miles home with no issues. On Monday we drove the truck and noticed an issue with it shifting from the 3 to 4 gears. A bad, Bad issue. I took the F 150 to my local Ford dealer for diagnostics. Come to find out that the transmission was 4 quarts low on fluid (its a sealed system so you can't check it) and the fluid was burnt. Ford tried to refill the fluid and change the filter, but the damage was done. Now, I am forced to pay another $8000 for a reman transmission. It seems like checking and flushing the transmission is the least that a large dealer could do before putting a vehicle up for sale. But, nope, they didn't bother. My local Ford dealership was appalled that they did this. My advice? Stay FAR FAR away from Westgate. It's not worth the risk. Shame on you Westgate. I hope you sleep well at night knowing what you are doing. The idiotic Lojack (which doesn't benefit anyone but you in reality) and the lie about window tint is bad enough, but to not even check a major component in a vehicle that you put up for sale and risk your reputation is absolutely unforgivable. read more

I contacted them about a Maserati GranTurismo. I saw the tps light was on in the photos and asked what was wrong with it and was there any other known problems. I was told the TPS light was from the cold and was no longer on and no other known problems. I asked for a price breakdown. They tried to tack on an 800-dollar charge for low jack/window tint. They wanted to charge 350 to deliver the car from 125 miles away (other dealers have been quoting 500 from over 500 miles away but I was willing to overlook the charge) and after the tax fees they wanted to charge 132.25 non-tax fee. I told them I didn't want nor asked for the low jack/window tint. They told me they put it on all their cars and it couldn't be removed. I said funny... other car dealerships have had no problem removing the charge. Then they said will you buy it if we remove the charge? At this point, you lied and know you did. I am not going to take your word on the TPS light or other known issues. Don't play games and lie to make sales. Integrity is everything. Read the other reviews and just go to a different dealer. read more

I can only assume that the oil change was done on my Jeep, but there is no customer communication. Their on-line service status board doesn't work, they don't return voicemails that they ask you to leave, they don't respond to texts that they say is the best was to contact them, and 24 hours after I dropped my car off for the oil change a service rep called to see why I hadn't picked my car up as it had been ready the day before. Attempting to contact their service manager has been fruitless as nobody seems to know who that is. read more

I traded a vehicle and requested a tag transfer and there was some issue with the transfer, they called and instructed me to DMV. I went to DMV and the clerk said I could not buy a plate because the dealership had not filled the paperwork. She instructed me back to the dealrship where they was nasty and rude . They did not put a 30 day tag on and created alot of issues. I cannot drive the vehicle.because it has no registration nor is the plate that was to be transfered valid anymore because it expired waiting on them to file the paperwork with DMV. I am so disappointed with the service and quality of cars that are sold at this dealership! We purchased a car on March 4, 2025 and the motor has blown up already!! We agreed to pay for the radiator now they are wanting to charge us more for the repairs. The customer service is horrible. I would not recommend anyone go to this dealership!!! The telephones are answered but transferred to a voicemai. I wished we had paid attention to all of the red flags prior to purchasing this car. When the car was test driven I had asked that a mat be put into the car. We were told that it was being ordered. It had taken one month to receive that. When the paperwork was signed we were not given hard copies only an emailed smaller copy. The general manager supposedly some younger looking guy who clearly had no customer service training. I've bought 3 (new) Jeeps from this dealership since 2017 and have had all the service performed there as well. In the past, everything has been fine. However, this year I've been overcharged for service and had to follow up multiple times to get the issue corrected (which they finally did), and have had problems getting someone in the service department on the phone at times. Today I took one of my Jeeps in for routine service and was told after it was done there is now a 3% "surcharge" for using a card to pay, which adds up quickly when you're already paying hundreds of dollars for the work. It's 2024 - I don't know too many people not using cards for payment of everything nowadays and this feels like a rip off. This used to be a great dealership and service center but all I have experienced in 2024 is hassle and being nickel-and-dimed so I suppose it's time to explore other options. read more

Do not take your vehicle into this place for service! I took both my dodge challenger and Ram 1500 in for service back in October 2023. My Challenger needed a battery, however after I received the car back my dashboard lit up with all kind of warning lights. After 2 months they were unable to correctly diagnose and fix the issue. In February after frustration I took the car to another Dealer in Durham and within a week they diagnosed the issue as being a loose ground wire likely caused by whomever replaced the battery. The dodge Ram was taken in the same week for what I thought was a bad clutch. They diagnosed the issue as a bad clutch, ordered the parts tat came in in January and the have yet to schedule my truck in for service 4 months after the parts came in. After placing weekly chasing phone calls(Often with no return phone calls) and being told I would be scheduled the following week on and on I went to the drastic measure of having the truck towed to the same dealer in Durham and a 2 days later they diagnosed the issue as an oil pan leak and stated that I didn't need a clutch that I was about to pay for at Westgate.
