Monitech replaced my device that day because it was malfunctioning and/or defective. They submitted the report to the DMV, did not explain to them that the device was defective and malfunctioning, and because they failed to explain the issue the DMV IS suspending my license. This is neglectful out the very least If not fraudulent behavior. I have complained to monitech several times that my device was defective and had to call in 3 different times and pay 45$ each time for a reset code because the device accused me of not taking a test and k would like a refund because the device was defective and was not my fault. Also MONITECH needs to contact the DMV and explain that the device was replaced on April 1st the day in question that DMV is suspending my license for

I passed this morning I got to remove device from my car and I get a code of 4043 stating that I had 2 days to bring my car in. I am suppose to be leaving for a flight today I called their more than lacking customer service to explain my situation and basically they stated I had today to bring the car in or the car would be locked out and I would be charged 35.00. They also lock you out if you can not make an appointment and try to reschedule a week ahead of time. I asked for an extra 4 days on my recall because I will be out of town for a family emergency. Basically I was told Screw you pay me. Monitech has a monopoly on these devices, they have 3 different company names through out the United States and Canada and because of this monopoly you would think they would have a little more accountability. Between the faulty devices, the car battery drains, and lack of customer service you would think they would do better. You can not drive your car and breathe into the device on a 2 way road and be safe in 3minutes (technically its2min) or try to pull over with out being scared for your life. So the next step is to find a lawyer that will help me keep them accountable and ensure that my quality of life is ensured while having this device in my car. Also Thank You Monitech for helping me spend 125.00 on rescheduling a flight because of your lack of customer service and lack of accountability.

Unfortunately, the corporate stuffed shirts have not aligned policies to provide acceptable customer service. I bought an ODB diagnostic dongle, connected it to my wifi (after it said Error 001 instead of saying "no internet connection", but it connected after moving the car closer to the house), but it repeatedly failed when it tried to download the firmware to the dongle. I drove back to the store the next day to return it and was told, "It is corporate policy not to accept an electronic item for return without the manager who is not here. You can return it tomorrow." Another fellow called today and had not been told any of the details of the return. I repeated and he said he used it without issue. He used an Apple phone, I used a Samsung. That piece of the problem never made it into his head, but should have since I explained it loudly enough for everyone in the store to know. They said in the store and on the phone that they could not refund the purchase without the physical credit card. My credit card company confirmed that a retailer CAN refund a purchase without storing all the credit card information. Since they cannot, then they need to fix their system. Can't return without a manager, must return to the store when a manager is there and they are not capable of a refund transaction without the card that the credit card company agreed with me that the do not need. Incompetent executives is the main problem with the commerce worldwide.

Ed at the High House Road O'Reilly Auto Parts truly came to the rescue!…read moreI initially stopped in because the tail lights on my husband's car wouldn't turn off after parking and removing the key. Ed quickly diagnosed the issue and found the exact grommet I needed--problem solved, or so I thought. When I went to leave, my own car wouldn't start. Jumping the battery didn't work, and Ed suggested it might be a faulty starter (which turned out to be exactly right). At that point I was pretty frazzled with two cars out of commission, but Ed stayed calm, kind, and incredibly helpful. He let me leave my car overnight and even suggested options for getting home. Thanks to him, I was able to Uber home, fix my husband's car, and deal with my own car the next day (which was indeed diagnosed with a bad starter). Ed's knowledge, patience, and willingness to go above and beyond made a stressful situation so much easier. Exceptional customer service!

Huge Thanks to Ed!…read more What a day, what a day! What started as a quick stop for gas in Cary turned into a full-on car emergency when our vehicle refused to start. After a kind couple's attempt to jump the car didn't work, we were feeling pretty stuck--until we realized we were literally across the street from an O'Reilly Auto Parts. I called the store, and that's when Ed became our hero of the night. Without hesitation, he walked across the street with a jumper and got our car running again. And he didn't stop there! We headed over to the shop, bought a new battery, and Ed even installed it for us right then and there. Ed was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly kind--exactly the kind of person you hope to run into when your car dies and you're stuck with your plans derailed. I can't thank him enough. He turned a stressful night into a reminder that good people still exist. If you ever need car help in Cary, O'Reilly's is the place to go--and Ed is the guy you want helping you out. Absolute legend!
