Saw a 2019 Hyundai Elantra SE I wanted to buy on Westgate's website so I called and made an appointment to see it the next morning. Their appointment setter scheduled me for 9am. Saturday morning (10/26/2024) I live 45 minutes away and arrived at their lot at 905 am. Much to my disappointment the car WAS NOT ON THE LOT. The man in charge of the Sales floor apologized and said the car had gone to the detailer and they were unable to contact him that day. He said that the car should be back Monday morning or early Monday afternoon. At 130 pm today (Monday afternoon) I called to see if it had returned, but no one was available to answer my. I then called the salesman and he said he would check to see what was going on He returned my call and said , I sorry to tell you this but the car went to the Hyundai Dealership and the engine is beyond repair thus the car is not for sale........I felt like a Catfish on a hook waiting to be pulled out of the water with the rest of the Catfish, to say Im angry is an understatement. The car never went to any detailer it went to the repair shop ( They never mention it had major problems that I could have gotten stuck paying for. I knew they had a similar car with similar features and milage so undeterred my the dishonesty of the Sales floor Manager I returned today to view /drive it The car was to be my wife's daily driver. This different similar car had issues I could feel thru the steering column. ( perhaps a bad steering column or some problem with the front portion of column The Salesman didn't notice it or recognize that their WAS a problem. Again undeterred I said " I like the car, but this issue must be fixed before i purchase. Once back from driving it I was unable to reach a compromise on the price , the Total Out Thee Door Price. I had pulled up the sales history of that model and fould it to have sold for max $19.130 in 2019 and a KBB Fair Purchase Price of $12,064 in todays market. They had it marked up to $14,900 As Is with no Warranty. I came with my own bank check for$15000. Since it had no Factory Warranty ( Car had 37K on it but was over the time parameters to be covered ) I had checked with Hyundai USA corporate and that is what they told me. So if I was going to purchase I decided $14, 800 was all i would pay but it had to include a 36,00 mile extended warranty. The Sales manager today was the same one who had lied to me before and balked at my proposition I then bumped my offer up to $16,000 again he balked so I shook the Salesman hand and proceeded to the Sales Manager to confront him in full view of all the Sales staff. Told him you lost the sale not because of the price but because you lied to me ( by omission) about the engine problems by saying it had gone to the detailer. DO NOT TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP PERIOD

This is the offer we came to Westgate for

Go to a honest dealership. Please read over every page before you sign anything. Don't let the sales person distract you. Westgate Jeep Chrysler engaged in deceptive practices during a Jeep Renegade purchase on January 2, 2023. Despite an advertised price of $24,000, the final contract included undisclosed add-ons, raising the price to $36,069. The dealership failed to discuss these charges or the significant increase from the advertised price, a clear violation of consumer protection laws. This pattern of unethical behavior, experienced by us and reported by others, caused significant financial and emotional distress. As a senior citizen and a veteran, I expected better from Westgate and Jeep.

Our salesperson Mike Mayberry spent an hour making trips to the back room to consult with management, ultimately returning with a monthly payment figure. When I pushed for the actual sales price, he looked me in the eye and said '$42,000.00 and some change.' The final contract shows $47,550. The price never moved once during the entire negotiation. While we waited, I stepped outside for a moment to grab food for our hungry children. In that window, Mike walked my wife directly to the finance office. He then found me inside and steered me toward the service area, telling me there was something I would 'really like' to see. She signed alone. That was not a coincidence -- it was a calculation. When we discovered what had happened, we fought back. For months. Through the dealership, through Hendrick corporate, through the NC Attorney General, through the BBB. Their legal counsel's response to our detailed written complaint was: 'Then we are done here. Good Bye.' Nobody has given us our money back. Nobody has taken responsibility. Reggie Jackson is a legend who earned his reputation through integrity and hard work. He deserves better than to have his name attached to a dealership that operates this way. A family walked through their doors and was treated as a target. Remember that before you walk through theirs.

**Zero stars, do not recommend** I am not one to typically…read morereview a business but sadly when the experience is as bad as mine, a person has no choice because I'd like this to be a warning to others. My husband has been a customer of Westgate Jeep since he was in his mid 20s. He has owned four different vehicles from the dealership so I felt fairly confident purchasing my Wagoneer from them. Unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of atrocious. Last spring I bought a brand new Wagoneer from Westgate and within a month I began to have issues. Since then it has been in the shop no less than 7 times in one year for repeated issues. Each time I would pick it up, they would inform me that "they couldn't replicate the issue" but they completed a software update so everything should be fine. I began having the same issues weeks later. With every visit I received absolutely no communication from the service department about the status of my vehicle. Days would go by and I would call for status updates only be told they hadn't looked at my vehicle yet with the promise they would call as soon as they had more information. I have never received an update from Westgate. I had to repeatedly reach out to my service rep Jason for any information. He would promise to call me back and yet never did! My vehicle would be in the shop for a week at a time with no communication. It also wouldn't matter who you called because no one from Westgate will return your calls. Now let's talk about the main reason I am writing this review. In July, my Wagoneer began shutting down while I was driving. Losing power steering, the entire system resetting, error codes galore! I couldn't make a 20 minute drive without it shutting down at every stoplight. I took it to Westgate and long story short - they had my SUV for four weeks. At no point in time did anyone from the service department ever call me to share what was being done. After two weeks of no communication, I opened a case with Stellantis. It was at that point that they became involved in resolving the issues. Apparently, Westgate flew four engineers out several times to work on my vehicle. I spoke with service managers. I spoke with sales managers. I spoke with reps at Stellantis. I inquired about buyback programs. I was even going to involve legal. Again, a $70,000 SUV, one year-old with less than 12,000 miles on it and I was getting no communication from anyone about the work being performed on my vehicle. After being without my car for a month I finally reached my rep Jason, who informed me that my vehicle was in fact ready to be picked up that evening. My husband stopped by and asked for all of the paperwork so we would have a record of what was performed over the previous four weeks . Jason didn't have any documentation ready. He honestly seemed annoyed that we would even ask and expect him to have that prepared at the time of pick-up. He apparently could not produce that paperwork quickly. It would take him several hours to get all that documentation to us so he promised he would reach out to us the following week so we could come pick it up. This dealership had my car for a month, made repairs that required engineers, essentially rewired my vehicle (according to Jason) and replaced the auxiliary battery and at no point in time did anyone document all the work that was being done. It's been almost 4 weeks- We've spoken to the dealership 3 different times and we still do not have a single piece of documentation about what work was done. My husband even tried to contact the service manager and even he did follow up with us. Stellantis is trying to compensate me and have me sign legal documents absolving them of liability and yet I still don't even know what work was performed on my vehicle. DO NOT buy a vehicle from Westgate. I don't know that I would recommend you buy a Jeep from any dealership in Raleigh because my experience with all of them hasn't been great. Heck, I don't know that I would recommend you buy any Jeep product at this point! This is our family's 5th Jeep and I can confidently say it is our LAST. This is a company that has decided they want to enter the luxury market with the price point of their large SUV and yet there is nothing from their customer service that can justify spending this amount of money. Save yourself the trouble!
