Booked early, knowing full well the cost would go down (I've been to the same resort numerous times). When the price did go down, I contacted Trip Central to let them know, and was told because I didn't specifically request a certain type of insurance, I wasn't eligible. Numerous reps couldn't even tell me where I needed to request this on the website. I found out later it's buried in an option under a tab- NOBODY TOLD ME WHAT I NEEDED TO LOOK FOR or that I had to pay to have this insurance, or I would have at time of booking! Customer service has been horrible. I've called Trip Central over and over to be put on hold etc. Was told the ONLY way to speak with managers is to call ext 7500, they had no idea why they said that. To this day, a manager has not called me back and I've lost $1060 at this point. I am a frequent traveler and unless someone fixes this they will not get my business again.

(Also, you get the size of vehicle you asked for which is often not the case elsewhere.) But it's the staff who make the difference. I've seen them remain calm, courteous and friendly even when demand is high and the phones ringing constantly. They respond to emails quickly, they get you in and out of the office efficiently, and they go the extra mile to accommodates your dates or changes where and when they can. Highly recommended.

The whole process was so easy. Upon returning the Hyundai Kona to O'Regans, they drove us to our nearby hotel on the Harbourfront. Again, an easy process . Occasionally I have to travel out of province for work. When I need to go to the airport, I prefer…read moretaking a cab. I've tried a few airport cab companies and they provide varying levels of average service. That being said, I've found Dad's to be better than most. I randomly picked them one day after having a poor experience with another company and I've been using them since. It only does the airport run and it's a small family run business. I usually leave before the crack of dawn so I pre-book the day before. They are at my house at the scheduled time, plus or minus 5 minutes. This is very important as there's no way I want to miss my flight. I also pre-book them for my return to Halifax and they are always there waiting for me. This saves me from randomly finding a cab late at night and getting a poor service. The driver (I seem to get the same one every time) is polite enough. As I'm either leaving first thing in the morning or coming back late, the driver seems to provide the "right" amount of small talk. He is always willing to help me with my suitcase, which is not as automatic of a service with cab companies as you would think. The drawbacks are that there's always an awkward part around the tip- I get the sense that whatever I offer isn't sufficient. I also know that he would prefer that I use cash instead of my credit card; I suspect the processing charge on his end is an issue. However, my company's expense policy doesn't allow this. Regardless, I don't think that I should feel uncomfortable when providing a perfectly acceptable form of payment. It's nothing that the driver directly says, but there's definitely a vibe. Overall, you can do worse (trust me, I've been in those cabs). Dad's provides decent, reliable, middle of the road service. They are worth a try if you need a taxi to the airport.

Terrible customer service - avoid at all costs. This place is a scam!!!…read more I rented a car for one day from this location - it's only on Sundays from 8:00am - 2:00pm. We told the staff member we would be returning it at 6:00pm that day - no problem he said, it's still the one day charge as long as you bring it back same day. Sure enough receive the bill the next day and was charged a late day fee, despite returning it at 6:00pm the same day. Went in to the location the next day (Monday) and the lady working agrees it was a mistaken fee and she will reverse the charge. She starts calculating on her phone how much to reverse and then rounds it up to $20??? Real legit. I then ask that the charges be reversed on the spot - she says she has to have her manager authorize so she can't on the spot. Thinking that's the last of it we leave and sure enough my credit card gets charged the late fees and the wrong amount. I call Hertz customer service head office and they say there's no notes on file about reversing the fee. So this lady straight up lied! Clearly this is a scam they have in place since people don't check their bills closely. Avoid !!!
