westlake financial services has been the cruelest/combative, deceptive and most uncivilized car finance company l have ever dealt with in all my 40 years of buying cars. from day one, on august 4, 2016 l tried to return there junk car to them from there partner car lot called elite credit in midlothian illinois. when l informed westlake financial svcs as l was driving home after leaving elite credit car lot, with this over $7,000 car "toyota camry se 2007" l regret buying shaking and felt like it was going to shut off while l was driving on lakeshore drive on my way home. basically westlake refused to help me with my concern. l ended up staying in this junk car till february 8, 2019 when l finally told them to go get there car!!!!! actually l advised them to go get there junk car on january 28, 29, 30, 31,2019 and they still refused to pick there junk car up. i finally had to call there westlake financial sneak/shady manager cecilia c., to tell her about the pure hell it has been dealing with her abusive westlake financial services representatives over the too long years with having to deal with them because of this horrible junk car. i told her l was yelled at again by another very angry out of control westlake financial representive named andriana mendoza on february 5, 2019 at 8:50pm approx. cecilia c. told me how sorry she was and how ashame she was about how badly westlake has treated me. cecilia then said l want to make things right with you and talk with my manager to see what we can do about getting you a better deal on this car i'm in. suddenly l got a call back from a supervisor name kendra j. who seem genuine in her apology for all that has happened with the junked car and the abuse from most of westlake financial services reps. kendra went on to say that cecilia c. said she want to offer me at settlement of $3,295.00. l didn't realize until later on that settlement meant l must i pay it all immediately in one lump sum!!! i don't vb understand how cecilia c. thought l would be able to pay off westlake financial services $3,295.00 when l couldn't even pay all the ridiculous extension fee's and the late fee's and monthly installments of $357.00 l've been paying them for almost 3 years. i realize these fools are playing a game and simply have no integrity again. i finally got wise to there deceptive nature and called westlake financial services back again to tell cecilia c., and kendra j. to go get the junk car. they refused to answer the phone so i left voicemail messages and then i called there the toll free number and someone picked up the phone and didn't say a word for over 8 minutes, so i hung up. basically westlake financial services is dirty/abusive unprofessional dishonest and have no shame in there games with customers, who over pay them while being sold cars that don't have a carfax when you request for it at there partner dealership elite credit. also westlake financial services had the audacity to send me an loyalty letter a month ago to get finance under them again in a different junk car , after i finish paying off this current junk toyota camry se 2007. once again,these people have no integrity. i will take these durty dishonest people to court for there shady business deals and for the the abuse over the years... which has affected my health. what's sad...is that westlake has no shame in there deceptive game and now are trying to ruin my credit. so many people have sued westlake financial services and i guess they don't mind being in court with another dissapointed customer. almighty god will have the last say... don't mess with god's people.i will see you in court westlake financial services. shame on you. read more

i am always frustrated when i call this darn customer service at westlake financial 1-888-739-9192 - these people don't know crap. today, sept. 18, friday, at about 2:00 pm i called because i forgot my password (or don't have a password) because they never help me the first time i was trying to established my account on line to have access to my account so i really did not have an on-line account with this miserable people. miserable because. today sept. 18, 2020 after an hour a half talking to different people three of them at least i finally found one person who knows what to do with my problem change my password to get to my account. how hard can that be? the first person has no knowledge what so ever how to change my password...so i ask for another person...the second person sent me an e-mail saying that will solve my problem....nothing doing because it still say "can not process request.... so i called again, and the third person i talk to is the most stupid of them all and have no idea how the computer works...keeps telling me to put my e-mail address in all upper case which in my 28 years of having an email never once use upper case on my email address...still this person do not know how i can change my password....the fourth (4th) person name karen - finally finally walk me how to change my password ...the first three ding ding personnel i have ask them to give me a temporary password that will let me have access to my account they all say they can not do that....but karen did. and so i was able to access my account.... now i would like to change that temporary password to the password i would like to use but my god! how fearful i am to call these people to help me out they might just mess me up to accessing my account also... these people westlake financial need to hire a first rate it programmer to program their it system here is the scenario: there are two url and if you don't know any better how you can log in to your account you are in dire trouble first one is https://www.westlakefinancial.com/my-account-login/ this url will ask you for user name i don't have one so i can not log into my account using this url second one is https://myaccount.westlakefinancial.com/wfswebsite/ on this url i can access my account since it only ask for your e-mail address and password. if you think this two urls is one and the same thing...you are definitely wrong ...definitely wrong... these two urls ar entirely two different animal. i already have an experience with these people they repossessed my truck without notices not any phone calls to tell me my account is in trouble - they were the one who stopped the ach witdrawal agreement and here i am thinking that i could not possibly be behind on my payment then my truck disappeared in my driveway they had it repossessed and no one in their gad forsaken customer service knows of the fate of my truck. and then let me go all thru the trouble of getting my truck back. i will forewarn people this type of modus operandi by westlake financial. i do not know where their headquarter is nor do i know who is the president or ceo of this company, i have a very negative review at the consumer affairs about this outfit. if i have some lenders to pay this westlake financial off, i'd do it in a heartbeat and forget about this outfit that it ever existed in my life. read more

I am not actually a customer of Westlake, but that was due to a car dealership in FL that failed to provide Westlake with the correct documents...for 2 months in a row. The car broke down, I tried to put the repair on an extended warranty I thought I bought. The car was transferred into my name with Westlake as the lienholder...meanwhile, the paperwork was not complete. Over 2 months (beginning 3/17) I was transferred from customer service to verification, funding, marketing, dealer compliance, consumer litigation and others. Then today, i called and was transferred to a person in verificatons maybe overseas(?) they had an accent...well, he was trying to tell me his supervisor was busy, the person i needed to speak to was away and i could expect a call back. I refused to leave a message, told him it was my 4th transfer of the day and I would hold for the supervisor. I needed a copy of a letter that was sent to me stating I was not a customer and had no obligation or business with Westlake. I don't have the car I planned on buying OR all the money the dealership kept...I needed the letter to continue to pursue a complaint with the state DMV to get my money back from the dealership. Well....MYSTERIOUSLY, there was some sort of emergency at the call center and the guy had to get off the phone. I again told him to transfer my call...he transferred me somewhere and that person heard title, and without saying bye, immediately transferred me, by a MIRACLE i ended up speaking with Aztrid-Karissa Lima, Titles Administrator. I explained the story AGAIN to her, SHE UNDERSTOOD ME!! She quickly went through their company procedure, I explained there was a DMV investigation, and she explained to me what FL requirements were as well. I accomplished in one phone call what i've tried to do on at least 50 previous calls. I've spent hours on hold and being transferred, i've told the story over and over and over...I've called in 3 way with the investigator, the investigator has called in on his own. FINALLY...someone listened to my concern, REALLY heard me, and addressed the problem, didn't just transfer me out to save their call time. NO my situation was not a scripted response, no I don't appreciate reflective listening skills. I want someone who can hear my concerns, and address them appropriately...PROBLEM SOLVING! Thank you Aztrid...i'm the most appreciative non-Westlake customer in the world. I'm sad , because the car was a good deal. I'm in a better car now, but spent all my savings to keep this doomed deal alive,.Aztrid, if you read this, keep doing a good job, I can imagine you spend all day dealing with issues. If your superiors read this, tell your other agents to put themselves in the place of the customer. I realize some are impossible to deal with, or the stories are month after month, but once phone calls become mechanical...even when you are dealing with a human things will go badly. Had to choose One Star as not a option to choose no stars. Summary of details that went on from the beginning of me trying to resolve the issue in hand and get the loan closed. On October 8th I received an offer letter with a reduced payoff amount which I was going to take to get this cleared up. I called and left a message to be called back about the offer letter. Offer letter dated October 4th and would expire on October 18th. On October 13th I called again since I received no call back from the company. And left another voice mail about this and explained it was urgent to receive a call back about resolving the issue of my loan. On October 14th I received an automated message to call about my account ASAP. This was in the late evening, so I called the next morning after my zoom interview. On October 15th at 10:59am during my zoom interview there was an older model truck with a tow bar dragging my truck out of our back yard with a tow strap. Damaging my yard and newly pulled fence. After the interview I watched them as they fought with my truck almost losing it twice before finally stopping on the road above my house and putting it on the tow bar. I called immediately after that and was told what I need to do to get it out of repo. I did not have the money in hand and told them we were selling it to a friend to pay for the cost of $6425.75. I was required to pay $200.00 to place a hold on it for 10 days. Although at that time I did not know Tennessee law required lender to send out a notice within 10 days of it getting repo'ed and from that date of letter I have another 10 days to recover vehicle. I was informed of the new balance with repo fee coming to $6925.75. On October 18th I called at 8am in the morning and payed the $200's to hold it and balance was now $6725.75. At that time the first buyer backed out. And my son in law if wanting it now and going to the bank to get a personal loan to pay for it. n October 20th we had the money in hand from the loan at that time I was informed that the price had changed from $6725.75 to $8600.00. What the hell. I was told two separate things as to why this happened. First was told that because I had a previous repo for only 2 days, they require 70%, on another occasion I was told that once vehicle is repo'ed the offer goes away. On top of that they have shipped my vehicle 200+ miles away from me. Talking with the recovery yard they told me that it is up to the lender, my lender told me it is at digression of repo yard. Which is it? The way I feel is they are using every trick in the book to keep me from being able to recover my vehicle, When I asked for something in writing it was flat out refused several times. The way I see it happening is that once the truck was repo'ed and valued they reneged on their deal as they know my truck is worth much more than I owe. I studied criminology in college and there was a whole lot of deviant information going on here. I am wanting my truck back and wanting the original agreement to be honored as it was agreed on in the beginning. I am making every effort to rectify this but being unemployed because of COVID and wife being disabled my options as minimal. read more

They honestly act like you borrowed money directly from them!! I can't speak for everyone else but I will NOT be treated any kind of way by someone whom I DON'T OWE a thing to!! Run, run, run away. They do not tell the truth, they are rude when they are in the wrong and you complain about it. Car had no oil in the dipstick We live in Nevada and sales person said they would "figure out" how to get it registered here. Well they charged us $309 to register it to our NV address, with CA plates and then said that's how it is done, so I had to turn around and pay to register it in Nevada the next week, wasting $309. You can't insure a car in one state and register in another. Dealers in Roseville do this all the time and never make a customer pay twice to register. Told us that Westlake "required" GAP insurance to finance us, but that is against the law and fraud, so we requested a refund and have still not received it. We requested a copy of service contract that we have on the car and for a copy of what DMV fees went to, but still have not obtained them. **Update** 11/15/2019 When the bank rejected the contract, due to our issues related to the dealership and us withholding the 1st payment until resolved, the dealership insisted we return the vehicle and that they intended to file it as a repossession and keep our $3,000 down payment. We live in NV and a contract here can't even be declared in default until 30 days late and we are not even 20 days late. "Bobby" the manager won't speak on the phone and when I try to reach the owners, Razia and Abdul, they "aren't available for you". We are a family of 6, who tried to negotiate in good faith, so having both our car and our $3,000 taken is beyond devastating. Most dealers would just do what is right, refund the down payment and move on, but these guys are predatory, malicious and vindictive. If you value your family, your money, your credit and emotional well being, DO NOT walk in their door. Also, in another bizare event, Bobby at AutoZoom told Westlake the vehicle was totaled in an accident and they opened a claim to try and collect monies, yet the vehicle has never been in an accident of any kind. To verify that statement, you can contact Mario at Westlake FInancial, 866-619-2524, as he just called me 5 minutes ago and verified the insurance claim was initiated by the dealership, fraudulently. That is beyond comprehension to me. Cory at Geico says in all his years, he has never encountered this type of conduct by a dealership. We have filed complaints with the Attorney General for insurance fraud and with the CA DMV for false and misleading sales tactics, but hope that this review helps you avoid having to take those steps. The saddest part in all of this, all we were asking for was our CA DMV fees to be refunded, since we had to register it twice and that is only $309. We are even current on our loan, as per the Westlake website, so all of this just seems silly...... read more

I'm Sean, this was my first time taking a loan out on a car even though I've bought and sold 40+ cars with cash, was really worried about it honestly. I got the loan through westlake for 3500 dollars, put 4500 down for my 335i. At first I saw westlake reviews on here and it gave me lots of anxiety, because 90% of them were bad. I decided to do what I could, and saved all my paychecks and got a second job to get the money ASAP so I didn't have to worry about getting screwed. The payments through the app is what I used for the first payment, it took 24 hours before it hit my account and took the money from my bank. About 10 days before my first scheduled payment, yesterday April 20th, I just payed off the rest of the loan, which also too 24 hours to process. I checked up on my payment status multiple times to confirm my payment went through each time after the 24 hours, and experienced no problems/issues. DO NOT BE LATE WITH YOUR WESTLAKE PAYMENTS THEY CAN (AND ARE ENTITLED TO) DO ANYTHING THEY CAN TO REPOSESS THEIR CAR AND PROTECT THEIR ASSETS. THATS THE ONLY THING YOU SHOULD BE WORRIED ABOUT WITH WESTLAKE FINANCE!!!!!!! I haven't gotten my title yet but I expect to get it soon, within 30 days, if I don't receive it on time I will update you guys accordingly. Neither have I gotten my plates but I don't think that's westlake a issue and I can still go to the dealer to get new paper plates until I figure that out. Going to give it 30 more days. Will update you guys on that but if I done, then you can assume that everything went well. My dealer also said he never had problems with westlake unless there was a non payment issue. They did NOT charge me extra fees for anything, even waived my fee for the payoff through the phone. Westlake financial. Where do I even start. Well on top of leasing a car that had the motor break and transmission both needing replacement within 2 years. My loan is at a staggering 24% APR with zero chance of me getting it refinanced because logically speaking it's clearly better to charge massive interest on someone "high risk" than to lower it. Making me spend more is definitely great because my credit score is low. Like gasoline on a fire. This isn't my main beef. My main beef is that I had my car repoed a year ago and had to pay over $900 in fees and then after everything was said and done and I got my car back there were still repo fees on the account. I spoke with the repo company and they said there wouldn't be anymore fees from them. Then I called in to westlake to confirm what the charges were. I EXPLICITLY remember the rep telling me that the charges were WAITING TO BE CLEARED ONCE THEY RECEIVE CONFIRMATION FROM THE REPO COMPANY. But since then the charges have stayed on the account and I'm being told that I owe them even though we paid OVER $900 to get my car back. How fucking expensive is a repossession? Because I know for a fact it isn't almost 2 grand. Of course these people will probably deny this claim to the court room because they'd rather fuck my pockets sideways than to miss out on their precious dollars. On top of that I'm not particularly happy that the entire economy is shutting down due to the pandemic and millions are losing their jobs but westlake just wants to turn a blind eye and GOD FORBID we miss our incredibly overpriced and important car payments over basic needs and during a global pandemic. All they can provide is an extension on the loan and rather want to put this months payment to the end of the loan and accrue more interest over a fucking crisis.
