Jay and whoever works for him messed up my 2017 Honda CRV. I went in for new brakes and came out with BOLTS missing. When I called to have them fix it they said it wasn't their problem. They would not fix it. My car made a horrible noise for almost a month after until I got a TRUSTED personal friend to look at it and actually tell me what was actually wrong. When I first moved to Westminster 3+ years ago, I used a different well-known shop for new brakes and was sorry I did. Also, my daughter had used a different chain shop for an oil change. Both jobs were priced high. Quote for a second job I posed was higher than I knew it should be. I went to Westminster Car Care originally because of a discount coupon for an oil change, to be honest, but have since had brakes done, tires, wipers, etc. purchased and installed and asked questions about general maintenance. Jay and his colleagues give straight answers, explain clearly to the novice [I'm a 73-year-old woman], and charge what I believe are fair prices. Service is prompt, as scheduled, and friendly. Great work, fair price, and most importantly: honest. Was recommended to me and my husband separately by different people in Westminster and for good reason! I've never been less than pleased with Jay's service. For example: my brake pedal was soft for over a year, and a different place I went for oil tire and brake services told me they couldn't get the brake pressure up. Picked up my car from Jays and a light tap on the brake now stops my car right away. He also does honest work without trying to sell the extras that your car doesn't need. I just went to Westminster Car Care this morning, and I am VERY pleased! Jay and his crew are awesome and did what was needed on my car! Brake rotors and brake pads were replaced and the serpentine belt was replaced and it was at a reasonable price for the parts and labor. I thought something electrical was also going on for my Jeep Liberty because my ABS light,ESP BAS light, and my anti skid light came on, but it's no longer there! Thought it was a sensor issue too from what I was told from a few people, but I guess it was just those brake rotors and brake pads needing replacement. I'm very happy with their service! I've taken 4 different cars to them for service and never have any issues. They're quick, usually beat the pricing of the big shops, and trustworthy. They've never tried to up-sell me on anything and if they do mention anything beyond the scope of your initial reason for getting your car worked on it's with good intent. I've only dealt face to face with Jay (owner) and Richard who are both very nice & helpful, but everyone else there has seemed friendly in passing. I'm a weekend warrior when it comes to working on my car, but even I know when the task is out of my league. So I was directed to Jay by a chain place that couldn't do the work I wanted them to do. I found Jay responsive to my concerns, completing the work quickly and at a GREAT price. This is a great car care facility. I realized I was about 10k miles overdue for an oil change the Thurs before July 4th weekend. I called several places around my work and only Westminster Car Care could fit me in. I waited at the facility for my oil change and the waiting room was nice; the AC was on pretty low, the place was well lit and bright, lots of magazines to read, and it was very clean! My oil change was super quick (took about 10 min). The price was reasonable ($45 for oil change plus air filter change). It's near my work so I'll definitely be back again! read more

I booked an appointment with Jay and his crew after seeing positive web reviews as well as recommendations from friends. My grandfather is a mechanic but too old to work on my car, but was able to diagnose the problem for me and tell me what I should expect to pay. Jay called me about 2 hours after dropping off my car. Sure enough, he told me the exact same thing my grandfather said it was and didn't try to sell me a bunch of repairs I didn't need. He had no idea I already knew what was wrong with the car. Oh by the way, the cost was about 20% lower than what my grandfather said it would be. The car is running like a top. I would highly recommend Jay and the guys at Westminster Car Care.
