It's off of either 70 or Route 40, but it's an easy drive coming from most directions, as long as you don't hit any traffic. It was a great experience from beginning to the end, even with temps in the high 90s! The course is beautifully maintained, with some challenging fairways and the greens were fast today. The staff was friendly and check-in was quick. The clubhouse is pretty huge and has the gigantic windows that overlook the course. The cart lady was very nice and checked in on us a few times throughout our outing I can't say anything about the pace of place because we were out there on a weekday, during a heat wave, so there weren't a lot of other golfers. From what I've been told, the weekdays aren't usually that busy and definitely cheaper than other courses in the area, which is crazy. The only reason for giving it 4 stars is because maintenance was out the day we were and they were on quite a few fairways the same time we were so they seemed annoyed that we were in their way and sometimes we had to wait for them to clear out. This may have been a one off so when I go back, I'll update my review.

The place is pretty easy to find though it is unlikely you'd just happen to drive by it, as it is kind of not on the beaten path. You can purchase everything ahead of time in terms of skate rentals and entry. It's pretty reasonable for one session mid-afternoon until close in the evening, you just need one entrance ticket/fee paid. You get your money's worth for sure if you are there for hours! You can bring your own skates or rent skates here- they have regular roller skates and roller blades. Both of these are in whole sizes, no half sizes, and both of them would be best on your feet with high socks that go to your lower calves, at least. Tying them tightly gives you the best skating, but that also pinches into skin if you don't have the right socks. They have an area for parties that includes a few arcade games, but mostly, you're there to skate. There are people there who are serious skaters going wicked fast and throwing some cool tricks, but we never felt bad in any way for not being one of the super talented skaters. There's a snack bar, too, with your classic fare like burgers, hot dogs, nachos, fries and funnel cake fries. Yummy snack junk food that makes the experience all the more reminiscent of young carefree days! They have lockers for your stuff, some don't even lock, but no one seemed concerned. There are benches for sitting and changing out your shoes to skates and vice versa, and people tend to just stash their shoes under the benches rather than get a locker. A good time all around and pretty affordable if you're there for a while!

It is fun to attend Stevenson hockey games here, as well. And, it is nice with the turf option for local leagues, like Reisterstown Baseball. No coin- operated lockers were there when I went to the rink in 2020. There was no designated waiting area besides the parking lot in 2020. No pro shop with a qualified, experienced figure skate technician in 2020. Hope the rink has those things it didn't have in 2020.

I know some people complain that you have to pay the fee to get in rather you swim or not, but honestly that is how it is at most public pools not just this facility. They are the only public rifle range in the area, and are very safety conscious. Don't show up with a cavalier and smug attitude and you will be FINE. Better than fine. The range officers are highly experienced and are fountains of wisdom if you can check your ego at the door. I'm learning to shoot a flintlock and they have been nothing but helpful. And lightly chastised me when I forgot a rule. A "Yessir, copy that." and we're back to the shooting line. Highly recommend this place. My only frustration is that their hours/weather closures aren't published somewhere. It's a hour drive to get there... and an hour back because there's some inclement weather somewhere.

This is a wonderful no frills outdoor shooting range for pistols, rifles, and shotguns (slugs…read moreonly). Pistol range is on a pulley up to 25 yards. Rifle range is 25, 50, 100, and 200 yard target areas. They supply staplers for posting targets. The staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable. They are also very strict on the rules. Which they should be as you are handling firearms. They sell targets, hearing and eye protection and chamber flags. No ammo. There is a drink machine there, but bring your own.
