The course is in unkept condition. Everything is broken or covered with weeds and leaves. There is trash everywhere and no protection from the driving range. We had to watch for flying golf balls. The owner doesn't seem too interested in keeping it maintained. I remember when this was the greatest course in the area. We now go to Island Green in Westminster. read more

I would like to say that this place definitely used to be a nice place but it seems to have gone down hill the greens are impossible to put on the mini golf is filled of rusty sharp nails and striped paint but the worse part of it all is the bathroom the bathroom was so dirty there were feces all over the walls and the toilet instead of hand soap they had dish soap. So so sad about this! I want to preface my review by saying that the two staffers that helped us in the mini golf shack were cheerful, friendly and helpful. So they get the star. But other than that... Grew up in Reisterstown very nearby so Mitchell's (formerly Tom Mitchell's) was a part of our lives for many years. I have fond memories of a very popular and well kept mini golf place that was always packed on weekends. It's been a long time... Walking up to the spot, my jaw dropped. The grounds look dilapidated as if untouched by human hands for over a decade. We decided to go for it for old time sake-we chose the Monster. Overgrown weeds, old and rusty clubs, filthy balls, the greens are worn and moss ridden. Pools of water destroyed by the hands of time and neglect. Piles of branches and pine needles that seem to be sitting there with no intent to dispose of them. Uneven greens make it hard to play. Some extra/bonus holes have been blocked permanently as it seems too much effort to repair. Not sure about the condition of the driving range or the batting cages. Thanks for the memories, Mitchell's, but we won't be back. read more

Came on a Thursday evening to play mini golf. First time here. Plenty of parking. The course we selected probably needed some work ... the shrubs were dead lol. Hella items on the course (sticks, masks etc. smh). The golf course lights also did not come on. NEGLECT! We came to play 9 after hitting a bucket of balls. The range was standard, nothing special, just standard. Then we went to the tees. Honestly we should have left after the bucket. $26 for a round of flogging is ridiculous! That is a par 3 course with 9 holes with kindergarten playground greens. I'm not kidding, check the picture of the second hole. They were all like that. My friend asked after the 9 and was told the drought and 50 year old irrigation system was the problem. 1immense positive was the woman in the club house(???) taking the credit cards. If you own this place, she deserves a bonus, super sweet and very funny and a straight talker! read more

The absolute worst 9 holes I've ever played in my life. What a total waste of money. For the price you wouldn't think that the course would be the worst condition corse you've ever seen. We all Spent the whole 9 holes wanting a refund because of the abysmal conditions. The fairways are unmaintained, the greens look like someone was doing donuts in carts, just absolutely ridiculous that this is even called a golf course. Save your money and go elsewhere. Nice people, but regarding the putt putt courses, they need some serious investment in maintenance and upgrades. The concrete and bricked surfaces are buckled and crumbling. Most wooden parts of the course are decayed and in need of replacing. No amount of paint is gonna fix that. Most areas of the putt putt courses are decades outdated and the place looks neglected and forlorn. It's actually sad, because it has so much potential. read more

I would do zero stars if I could. This place barely can count as a mini golf place and while I've heard that years ago this place was bustling, I wouldn't trust non recent reviews as my family went this afternoon and the entire course was overgrown and broken. It looked as though there had been no maintenance in 30 years and as others have put it, since it was created it looks as though they never actually fixed anything. When we first arrived we are greeted by a cashier who likely doesn't even want to be there and he informed us that hole 7 is broken. When we first start on the champion course, it was immediately imminent that it was very overgrown and broken up. Parts of the course were messed up and many of the wall were disconnected and broken up. Parts of the holes where there were ramps were covered up by carpets making it uneven, and there were bushes meant for scenery that clearly block parts of the holes to the point where you can't even see where you're hitting. Along with this, there used to be water traps years ago but they are literally covered by concrete and colored a very light blue. Notably, on hole 17 there was a pool with a floating water stream to slow down the ball but now it's just a hole in the ground with a log above you. There's no point counting score with this too, as if you try to win there are so many factors that can make this luck based as in hole 17 you need to hit it over the pool but it can just fly anywhere from when you hit it over and most of the holes have imperfections in the green that can make the ball fly anywhere. Holes that are supposed to carry your ball somewhere with a ramp are only going to work half the time, and finally holes with hills on them are just badly designed as the ball can roll all the way back to the start. This place could be better with just some dang maintenance. That by itself could make this place actually enjoyable and not look like half the work that should have been done here was half-assed. Tldr: do not come here. read more

Took my kids mini-golfing, which is inherently fun, so there's that. The signage to get to the place needs improvement. One sign is partially behind vegetation, and at another point, when you're just about at the place, it is easy to miss the final turn and end up back on 140/795 because there is no "TURN HERE" sign visible from one direction. There is ample parking on a gravel lot. I haven't been here for about 30 years and much of the place looks like it hasn't been touched for 30 years. When we first went in the office, we waited for a few minutes because no one was manning the counter, but the young man was apologetic and friendly when he came in the building and saw us. We paid $7 each for the monster course. There is a bin of colorful golf balls on the counter and you choose one. Many were in poor shape, worn and crusted. The first one I picked up was sticky. At the course, the putters seemed to be in pretty good shape. The 18 holes can be humorously long, adding to the fun, but boy do they need some attention: ripped mats where you initially place the golf ball, some crumbling and loose brick edging (be sure not to twist an ankle), straw-laden greens that stop the ball from rolling, shortcuts that don't work because the paths are rough and cracked or pipes are clogged, dingy coloring to the greens, water-filled cups because some don't drain, un-mowed grass around the play area, and the total lack of colorful design or moving elements. The final hole (where you will give up your golf ball after one shot) is dingy and unexciting. You'll probably have some fun because of the nature of mini-golfing, but it appears that this place isn't trying very hard or just can't afford to maintain the areas. read more

Haven't been there in almost 2 years, but it's good for mini golf!, sorta... The greens desperately needed to be repaired when I was last there - far too many holes, dents, bare spots, etc. It added to the difficulty, for sure. The plain MG course was a lot of fun, and the long one looked maybe boring, but probably fun (a lot of super long greens with 90 degree turns and then sometimes another 90 degree turn). There is also a course where you have to chip as well as putt... I'm eager to go back and try that one! read more

I played the 9 hole course today. The lady that waited on us was great, but the course hadn't been cut and the rough was literally 8 inches long. The fairways looked like a dandelion farm, and the greens were garbage too. I normally don't post stuff like this, but when I went back to return my pull cart, I said the rough needs cutting and the guy got real ignorant and made some comments about my game. I normally would of laughed it off, but there is 6 people behind the counter. It's no wonder we were the only ones out there. I will never go back until they sell the place. read more

This is a great executive golf course for the very beginner and for the ones who want to brush up on their short game. You won't feel intimidated as the newbie here- people get it. The course is well - just a course to get your feet wet and make u feel comfortable before u graduate to the next level. Its manicured well and scenic. You can't beat the price for the greens fees and golf cart. The driving range is nice, could use a facelift on the grounds as well as the driving range stable but whatever - the place overall rocks. The mini golf and monster in the pines is a treat. Staff is super friendly and polite. You'll be a very happy 1st time outter on the course. I guarantee it. read more

I learned how to play golf here from Nancy Row. It is great for the beginner on a budget. I spent many evenings by myself, with friends, and with my kids at the driving range. When I finally made it onto the golf course, I never felt pressure and if I did, I let them play through. It's clean, friendly and they have a freezer with ice cream. What more could you want? I've played the mini-golf a handful of times and it's fine ...it's mini golf. read more

Bald greens, last hole on championship course has so many pine needles on it the ball doesn't go into the hole. Looks completely neglected. This is the worst, and I mean the worst, mini golf course I've ever played in my life. The courses are dirty, the holes are broken, and everything is slanted so the balls don't stay on the course. Even the shortcuts are so busted up that the ball can't roll down. One of the holes has two holes for no reason. The champion course has holes in the tee box for chipping. If you plan on playing the monster course, I strongly recommend injecting steroids because the entire course is up hill and almost a mile long. The equipment they give you is garbage. The balls are lumpy and the putters are rusted. Tom Mitchell's Golf Complex should be set on fuego. read more

I used to go here when I was much younger...maybe 15 years ago. I loved the experience as a child. I thought it was amazing. I went back with my girl 2 weeks ago and mind you I haven't been in 15 years. Let's just say that this place hasn't changed one bit. It just looks old and worn down. This is the golf course and driving range that I first learned how to play golf on. If you are a beginner then this is a good place to check out. The driving range is long enough to let you use your driver and competitively priced. The 9 hole golf course is also a bargain but you will get what you pay for. Expect every lie to be from hard pan and very long greens that will most likely mess up an experienced golfer's game. There are many fellow hackers here and you probably will get caught behind someone going very slow in front of you. You can try to complain but the course doesn't do anything about slow play. If you are the slow person just learning how to play golf then this is a good thing but it will drive everyone else nuts. If you are on a budget and/or just getting started in the wonderful world of golf then consider booking a tee time. Everyone else should go elsewhere. read more

Some of the holes could use a little maintaining which is why I'm only giving 4 stars, but that being said, I'm excited to go back and play the other courses. read more

We have been playing miniature golf at Mitchell's Golf Complex for nearly 40 years. We have seen a steady decline in the maintenance of the courses over the past several years. In our recent visit, we played the Championship Course. The greens were filthy. Pine needles had collected on many of the greens, and it looked like they had been there for some time. There were empty soda cans that had been thrown on the course. All of the obstacles were badly in need of paint. There were also areas where the concrete had cracked and left large openings, a significant safety concern! The water hazards were completely dry except for one large one near the end of the course. There was also a lack of large clubs, and one of our friends was forced to use a child's club. We were there on a Friday evening. In the past, it usually was crowded with golfers. There were only 4 other players on our course, and only a few scattered players on the other two courses. There are far better courses in the area, and we won't return to Mitchell's unless there are vast improvements made to the facility. read more
